burnt coffee, beautiful croissant. coffee was super burnt and bitter but the chocolate croissant was perfectly toasted and flaky. i wanted to work on my laptop for an hour or so but was told that the internet was not for public access. not good enough for the standard of cafes these days - free wifi is a given in most places!

really sorry but we were very disappointed. egg & bacon pie - very fatty & bad tasting/quality bacon. very noisy from the jazz band that really isn't necessary in such a small space. was the chicken pie re-heated in a microwave??!

chanced upon this bakery sunday morning.. 3-piece band playing outside made for a great atmosphere in spite of the cold hobart wind! we had a cornish pastie and some sweet morsels; all good! some really well made coffees and a red or two.. smiles all around.. :-).

what a great way to round off a trip to hobart with patisserie and baked delight heaven! you will definitely feel your eyes are bigger than you belly, spolied rotten for choice, attentive service and sunday morning parisienne jazz, just kick back, relax and enjoy!!

gorgeous baked produce. this delightful historic building has been a bakery since hobart's early days but i'll bet they didn't produce the yummies that are made there today. the french styled goods are utterly delicious - fruit tarts, croissant, macarons, breads, filled rolls savoury slices and beautiful flans. they serve breakfast and lunch and it's an ideal place to breakfast before boarding the ferry to mona - you can also grab some goodies to enjoy during your day there ( a more economical option that purchasing at the gallery).

had the egg & bacon tart and a brioche - absolutely delighted with the food. the service was also great - they were attentive and friendly. great selection of food and very smooth coffee by melbourne standards.

let the food speak for itself.. on a recent trip to tassie we stumbled across this little gem!

everything we ate was sensational, everything just melted in our mouths and was cooked so well.
the amount of lack lustre patisseries around who are all show need to wonder into this place because the food is truly wonderful.
the pastry is soft and melts away, the breakfasts no eggs but good on them for sticking to what they do best, baking.
in my short stay in hobart we ventured here frequently, thought everything delicious and so well priced, but the one thing that i enjoyed more than anything was the salmon tart, well it was sensational!

it's all about the food at daci & daci enjoy what they provide and you'll have a mouth watering experience.

desserts make it worth it.. i'm sad to admit that i have to agree with other reviews saying the service here leaves a lot to be desired. it's such a nice spot and interior but the atmosphere is somewhat dulled by the fact that it seems like none of the staff want to be there. the savoury meals are okay but nothing really special. the pastries and desserts, however, are amazing and i think they are worth going for.

we went here on recommendation and the smoked salmon tart, lamb and rosemary meat pie and cous cous salad. all were quite good, but i think place is probably more famous for sweets.

this little slice of heaven is just around the corner from the brooke street ferry terminal, so it is the perfect pit stop for picking up coffee, breakfast or lunch on the go if you’re heading on a tour or if you want to have a picnic in the nearby saint davids park. the salmon and asparagus tart, croque monsieur and almond croissant are all to die for.

terrible service! we came here for breakfast on a tuesday and it was crazy busy so we didn't mind that it was a long wait to get our food. the staff were grumpy and not at all helpful. when we finally got our food, it was obvious it had been microwaved. my chicken and leek pie was mushy and the pastry was soft. for the price i was expecting something a lot better but it might have been overlooked if it weren't for the bad attitude of some of the staff.

there are many good things going on here... but i am sure my pie was microwaved. it just takes the edge off the experience.
