good and generous. theduckpo-boy was rich and overstuffed, and very well made. it was an enjoyably messy experience. the bread was so much better than most spots, and i'll return to try other varieties.

try theduckor the cochon de lais. this place is wonderful. i have been raised on poboys and this place hits the nail on the head. theduckis shredded like all roast beef poboys should be. most of these meats are slow cooked and not made to order. its almost like your mom is making it for you with hours of prepration and thats because their workers come in on days when the shop is closed to prepare them for you. people who dont like this place prefer quarter poboys...and by all means this place is crowded enough please leave and go elsewhere...for that 8 inch nonstuffed poboy that every tourist buys and feels like they got had for....this is a local shop. appreciated only by the locals.

monster po' boys on great bread!. huge po' boys served on great bread and overstuffed with your choice of filling. three of us shared three different samples of crabby jacks signature po' boys, shrimp, duckand half &half(shrimp and oyster) dressed of course. monster portions served on great bread with sides of jambalaya and gumbo. all of them were outstanding and i particularly liked theduckversion. we each ordered the regular size and none of us could finish it at one sitting so think about that before ordering the king size option. this place is a definite "do again" the next time i'm in the area. bon apetité!

you don't know jack?!. mon-wed 10:30am-3pm, thu & fri till 5pm, sat till 4pm, sun closed. casual. ordered theduckpo-boy dressed; it came loaded with wonderful, tender shreds of meat, the lettuce oddly buried beneath it. friendly staff, quick service, odd hours!

right up there with the best!!!. portions are large, service sometimes subpar, but quality always top notch. shrimp po-boy best in the city in my opinion, overloaded with shrimp. fried green tomato w/ shrimp remoulade also an excellent poboy.duckspecialty po-boy so tender and flavorful. really can't go wrong with any choice here. i prefer to pick-up and go as it can get quite crowded and very hectic during lunch hours. prices may seem a bit high, but they give you so much meat/seafood b/t the bread.

excellent food, poor service.. the food:
everything i've eaten...delicious! homey, flavorful, and large portions. i love the roastduckpoboy!

service:
hit or miss..sometimes rude.

despite the occasional poor service, i really enjoy the food here. try the mac n cheese andduckpoboy. gumbo is great too!

worth the drive po boys, creole, fish, boudin, mac & cheese. we came in at the end of the lunch crowd. our host ordered for us and the folks knew to keep the food flowing. our table of 6 sampledduckand oyster po boys. shrimp and fried green tomatoes po boy, boudin, mac and cheese, shrimp creole, fried chicken, and creole filet of fish. po boys were stuffed and the fish was excellent. oysters were tender and plump. we couldn't finish it all but what a feast. i liked the fish and the creole shrimp the best.duckpo boy was tasy but i'd stick with the oysters or shrimp. they were "out of oysters" . the drum was moist and seasoned and perfectly cooked. moist and zesty. the boudin and gravy was too spicy for this group. locals are lucky to have a lunch place that puts out quailty quanity and warm hospitality. hugs around even when we closed the place. check hours closely. on to the next stop.

good lunch spot. the po-boys are quite simply perfect. overloaded seafood shrimp was one of the best ive eaten. theduckpo-boy is also unique and very tasty. got a side of mac and cheese and was pleasantly surprised that there were jalapenos mixed in which gave it a spicy and simple twist. cant wait to go back and try everything on the menu, especially the fried chicken.

cochon po-boy & mac n' cheese are superb. being a new orleans native, i know what a good po-boy is. crabby jack's cochon po-boy is awesome. loved the sauce that accompanies the pork. theduckpo-boy on the other hand, needed a bit more flavor. the mac-n-cheese was great - jalapeno added some zang. this was a to-go order & i also got fried green tomatoes and am wondering if they forgot the remoulade? the batter is a bit plain but the tomato itself was perfect.
