coromandel cafe

we had dinner here and the food was outstanding. we ordered potato dauphinois as a starter which was excellent. then we ordered two mains. first was grilled mahi mahi with potato mash and veggies on the side. the fish was subtly flavoured and well cooked. the mash was just divine and the sauce was absolutely yummy. next was the prawn malai curry which was rich and creamy and they were generous with the prawns. we were quite full and passed over the deserts but had a look at their enticing offerings. the atmosphere was pleasant with a wonderful playlist of french songs and sophisticated jazz. only minus would be the dim lighting for outdoor tables. they had an electric candle that would keep on going off.

one of my colleague had recommended this cafe to me and i am thankful to him. it has a beautiful ambience and indoor as well as outdoor dining is an option. vibe of this cafe is really very soothing and relaxing. it is usually a bit busy in the evenings so you might have to wait for the table. we tried pizza, mocktail and cold chocolate here and all were delectable. staff is very active and friendly. must visit while on a visit to rock beach or white town.

i really like the ambience and interior of this cafe which gives a french or english vibes. talking about food, i liked everything that we tried from fries, prawn malai curry, beef burger, aubergine cheese roll to cappuccino. the portion size is slightly less but manageable. i will definitely go again whenever i visit pondicherry next time.

food was delicious. service was prompt. loved the decor and the ambience. it was a little too crowded. but overall i had a wonderful experience. a must visit, when in pondicherry.

i am sitting here right now for thr last one hour and there is no one here to listen to our plight. the manager is not here. no one has clue on what going on! we ordered simple stuff and still have not got it. disgusting to say the least. worst part is that these guys are not apologetic.

a restaurant is known for both food and service. they get a zero on service and food was indeed good after it came after more than an hour

very good food with great ambience as well. we loved the mushroom tortellini, grilled fish and prawn malai. service is a bit slow, but the food is worth it!

the ambience is classy. this place is always busy and minimum waiting time is half n hour for sure. one of the best places to visit when you’re in pondicherry. food we ordered- starters - potato dauphinoise topped with mushroom and green beans. main course - hot pink risotto & spicy harissa spaghetti. drinks - mason & co drinking chocolate , and nutella coffee frappe. review- everything was just excellent.

super ambience and electric vibe that runs 24*7. one shouldn’t miss this place at any cost. brilliant food!!! clearly “the centre of attraction”

it’s the perfect place to fine dining with your friends and family. it gives the feel of parisian vibe with indian humble welcoming nature.

extremely over hiped place with bad & less quality food. would not recommend to eat there. just paid for the ambience and nothing else

visiting after a year and lost my appetite to wait. staff shankar was so rude that acted he was doing us the biggest favour in life by giving us a table.

went here for dinner on a monday, so things were a little calmer than the weekend. that said, the place was still bustling and full and had a waiting.

the ambience is really nice, both indoor and outdoor. the service was fast and attentive.

we ordered the hot pink risotto and a classic beef burger. both were really tasty. the risotto intact was very different with multiple textures and subtle flavours, really liked it!

we also ordered the pea flower cooler and a ginger ale. liked the former more. no complaints about the ginger ale apart from the fact that it was a bit too strong for me, but that’s a personal preference. it was definitely fresh.

i just wish they had a better dessert menu. we were recommended the nutella cookie cake with ice cream, which was strictly okay, if not too sweet. wish there was more variety and a slightly refined selection for dessert.

other than that, would absolutely recommend this place, and will probably check it out again during the day as well!

the only good thing about the place is the ambience. food is bland and the portion size is very less compared to price. drinks are worst.

loved the food and the vibe .everything we had was so good that it makes me want to travel 200 km again to pondy just to have them again .
the korean wings were amaze .it got finished in seconds and we had to order an other portion .
loved the truffle pasta .the prawns again were so well made .
i was super super excited to finally get my favourite beer -blue moon here .the last time i had it was 3 years back in the us .
the tiramisu and the lemon meringue are a must have !
the only negative if i must say is that the menu can have more options !
