it’s the most overrated and over hyped place i have ever been. third classpizzaand pasta with no toppings in the name of authentic food. tasteless food where fresh lime mix doesn’t have sugar n lemon. staff is so absence minded that withpizzayou need to ask for seasoning, chilli flakes, ketchup and even plate!!!

a big let down on my entire pondicherry trip. worst place. only the ambience is good rest food and staff both are not even worth a try

we reached the place around 6:30 pm. the head staff told us he could not give us a table inside as it was late. but many tables were empty. we insisted on getting a table inside. when we showed a little disappointment, in a minutes time he came out and alloted us a table in the corner near the window inside.this was really bad and not a way to treat customers. the food was good. they served their own homemade fries and not the store bought ready to cook, which was really tasty. the vegan cheesepizzaand ultimate mozarella burger were the best. the white sauce pasta was also good.

the food and drinks were great. spicy jazzy margaritapizzawas really spicy with adequate melted cheese. the ribbon pasta was a little bland in taste. overall a great experience but will recommend to reserve table on weekends.

had 4 cocktails- the nimboo-orange-vodka, jalapeno tequila, chilli guava margertia and the spritz. all were.pretty good (specially the nimboo one), so was the food-margeritapizzawith bacon, house fries with dip (the dip was very good). the only thing which ticked us off was the fact that we ordered dessert which dint come for 30 min..upon enquiring, we were told that it was stocked out (when we ordered it, it wasn't). this was a major downer.else a great experience. must visit.

we went for dinner to corromondal cafe for dinner with some frinds last week on june 27th. the ambience and service was good but the food was stale, and sub standard. for the main course, we ordered a pizza, mushroom tortellini, harissa spagetti, and a couple of mango pad thai salads. thepizzawas with goats cheese and for that there was a teeny tiny dollop of cheese on a soggy pizza, the harissa spaghetti was not the authentic sauce but some off the counter ketchupy stuff with gluggy, thick spagetti, the mushroom tortellini was by far the worst. it was stale dense, dried and just terrible. the sauce was also tasteless. the salad was fine though so we just ate that. for dessert, we tried the burnt american cheesecake and a lemon meringue. both were just passable, probably just a 4/10. the place is just good to hang out with and have some regular wines and french fries perhaps but not a place for dining. very disappointing considering the place was rated very highly on zomato, conde nast traveller.

one of the to-do cafes in pondicherry that need to be visited.
been here for a dinner and the ambience is the only thing driving the crowd.
cost wise this is slightly on the higher side, but given the quality it's a fair ask.

had the crispy prawns with chilly sauce, which was utterly blant. the homemade fires were nice but again no garlic mayo. also how come a restaurant doesn't keep soy sauce??

we also had the pesto chickenpizzawhich was brilliant because of the pesto very fresh and will leave a delightful taste.

they don't have beers in the menu and a very limited mocktail section. cocktails are good though highly iced.

we started our meal with a delicious croissant but to our disappointment the cocktails were pretty bad. thepizzawe ordered was not properly baked and the service was pathetic.

loved the vibes in this cafe... it's really peaceful. all the starters were amazing - pork belly, chilli satay chicken wings, mini margaritapizzaand beef dish (i kinda forgot the name 😂). both the cocktails we had were a delight. however, we were a bit disappointed with the mains - spicy korean barbecue and the beer battered fried fish n chips - mainly because they were just too damn salty. the only main we enjoyed was the mushroom stuffed crispy chicken.
the ambience and service was excellent. i will definitely go back on my next visit.

came here with my family for lunch post lockdown.
a beautiful cafe located in white town totally worth visiting.

what i ordered :
1) virgin mimosa
2) ginger ale
3) virgin pina colada
4) chilli satay chicken wings (a must try)
5) crispy paneer (a must try)
6) beer battered fish and chips (a must try)
7) harissa macaroni (a must try)
8) chili chorizopizza
9) lemon meringue pie (a must try)
10) chocolate almond cake (a must try)
11) burnt cheesecake (a must try)

starters :
1) chilli satay chicken wings - the best chicken wings i’ve ever had. the chicken wings were given along with a spicy peanut sauce. the combination together tasted really good. the flavour was my absolute favourite part of this dish. it was a little spicy and had a tiny bit of sweetness, which i really enjoyed.
2) spicy paneer - this was also given with spicy peanut sauce. this is a starter i would recommend for those who love paneer. the taste was excellent.

main course :
1) beer battered fish n chips - this was really good. it had the perfect balance to it. the portion of this dish is sufficient for one person.
2) harissa macaroni - this was something different. a blend of mild spice and the cheese like flavour from the white sauce were really good together.
3) chilli chorizopizza- since chorizo was not available, it was replaced with salami. the idea of curry leaves onpizzawas a little absurd for me. but as i ate thepizzaalong with fried curry leaves, i felt it was unique - taste wise.

mocktails - both the mocktails were nice. in the ginger ale was however a little strong. on request, the strength of the ginger was reduced to our convenience.

desserts : the cakes and desserts here are a never miss.
1) lemon meringue pie - i had mine with ice cream. the combination together was amazing. the sourness from the lemon meringue pie along with the sweetness of the ice cream were really good together. a tropical dessert totally worth trying.
2) burnt cheesecake - this dessert is a definite crowd pleaser. one word - marvellous.
3) chocolate almond cake - this was another great dessert. chocolate and almonds together can never go wrong.

the lockdown regulations were maintained very well. you are not allowed in without a mask. sanitising and temperature checks were done upon entry.

the ambience was beautiful. there are both indoor and outdoor seating. the service was good but can be better.

a lovely cafe to come by and relax with family and friends.

if i were to rate the ambience, i'll give a 20 of 10. good is not that great, had ordered prawn cocktailpizzaand street herbologist. i have a good time, given i visited at day and it's much better at day.
i understand it's a fine dine restaurant, but it needs more food on the menu.

the restaurant is just beautifully set up so i was excited to taste the food but.....
i ordered the paan mojito, the cocktail would have been great had the bartender not added a huge dollop of crushed ice that just watered down the drink.

their take on bruschetta and prawn curry was delicious.

my friend then ordered a pizza. thepizzabase looked cooked but it was dense the edges were raw.

i hoped for a better experience looking at the beautiful decor of the restaurant. the food was inconsistent and just left a lot to be desired out the place.

every time when you visit pondicherry , there is always some new restaurant , new cuisine or new concept to try out. here , many old bungalows have been converted in to beautiful restaurants and coromandal cafe is one of them . there are small , open air garden space tables available but as the gap between them was very limited so we opted for indoors , corner table to chat freely . ambience is very nice , clean and calm place , service is little slow so if you have enough time to relax and enjoy your meal then definitely book a table in advance and must try this place. prior bookings are must as even on wednesday it was full so you can imagine the crowds on weekends . however i didn't like their fried dishes like crispy prawns and fish n chips as they were very oily and greasy but their italian food is just awesome. not only their bruschetta bread is different but their toppings are equally unique . like we ordered bengali mango chutney and cheese bruschetta , as the name suggest the indian sweet and sour chutney with cheese .... a great combination . next we ordered organic roasted chicken with chicken risotto . roasted chicken was good , as i'm not pakka non-vegetarian , my taste buds are limited to indian types of marination only , so not their fault . but the chicken risotto was yummmm 😋 , the sauce was very very nice , i have never tasted this kind of risotto before . in fact i have tried mushroom n cheese risotto at 2-3 restaurants and i always hated its bland taste as it is tasteless patient food . for vegetarian dish we ordered grilled vegetables with grilled halloumi cheese , greens and black hummus . however i got only two pieces of grilled paneer rather than halloumi cheese but i forgot to notice that because we were very busy exploring the black hummus . i have heard it for first time and tasted for first time only - it was very tasty , nutty and smooth . frompizzasection we ordered pondicherry vegpizzawith paneer and sun dried tomato toppings - was really good . exceptional was their pink pasta - i thought pink pasta means pasta in white and red sauce which we normally call as pink sauce . but it was fresh home made beetroot pasta in white sauce and herbs - very soft pasta with sweetness of beetroot was complimented with little pungent flavour of red onions . overall it was a great evening well spent at very neat and clean , calm place with excellent and unique dishes . this is the place where i would like to again and again whenever i visit pondicherry 😊 .
