finally visited this place and i had mixed feelings about this one - the ambience is great, everything else : not so much.
thefoodtook forever to come. we literally had to remind the waiters multiple times, even for the bill. the portion size is pathetic, especially because of the price you’d be paying for it.
taste is okay.
there’s always a long queue and waiting period, especially if it’s during lunch/brunch time so be prepared for that, more so if you’re going in a group.

it’s the most overrated and over hyped place i have ever been. third class pizza and pasta with no toppings in the name of authentic food. tastelessfoodwhere fresh lime mix doesn’t have sugar n lemon. staff is so absence minded that with pizza you need to ask for seasoning, chilli flakes, ketchup and even plate!!!

a big let down on my entire pondicherry trip. worst place. only the ambience is good restfoodand staff both are not even worth a try

beautiful ambience with a garden sitting area and inside the bunk for which retains the old charm including the furniture. slightly on the expensive side for the ambiance it provides.foodwas fine as its expensive and very okay-ish to taste. try coffee here and creamy cheese & aubergine crispy rolls.

this place has only good ambience andfoodis the worst

the ambience is good and thefoodis okay but what stood out for me the most when i walked out of the place was the rude management and in general terrible customer service. in case you decide to make a trip there, i hope you get a table of your choice without waiting for long cause otherwise the meal might just take a bad turn.

can't review on thefoodbecause we didn't get a chance to enter. we reached there at 7 pm for dinner and the place was already full which is understandable considering the place is listed among top 10 places to visit. there is a person at the gate whose job is to shoo away people. we were ready to wait, but this person wouldn't even entertain that. he straight away said, "we are done for the day". out of curiosity, if we can do any reservations to get a table. that's when i get to know that they don't do reservation, neither they have any waiting list. they do first come first serve. but for that you have to reach there at 5.30-6 for dinner. so basically, if you are travelling for a weekend, and you have plans to visit this place, only your luck can get you in. they do not put effort for queue management or do reservations. however, they have a dedicated person at the gate to shoo away the visitors in a very very rude tone.
a place with 170 seating capacity, i can't believe that i have to reach by 6 to get a table at dinner. post that, they won't entertain anyone. this whole system and their behaviour just reflects their arrogance towards the tourists visiting their place

when in pondicherry, one shouldn't miss visiting this place. i loved it's outdoor as well as indoor seating. i went around 4 pm and there was no waiting but if you going around meal times then better to make reservations.
i loved thefoodoptions. it reminded me of my trip to ubud, bali as the variety it offered in menu was on similar lines of restaurants that were in ubud.
we ordered creamy cheese aubergine rolls and pumpkin chilli goat cheese dips as starters. for main course, we ordered spicy harissa spaghetti. for beverages, we ordered marigold green tea, paan mojito and street herbologist. everything was out of this world. i was amazed by paan mojito as they had used real betelnut leaves and not some flavour. the quality offoodis awesome but should work on quantity of food. especially the aubergine rolls, they provided just 2 pc and we were three of us.

this cafe serves best pizzas in town. just loved the food. there ice cold coffee is also amazing. even there garlic is also good. given 4 stars as service was really slows had to wait a lot forfoodto come.

we reached the place around 6:30 pm. the head staff told us he could not give us a table inside as it was late. but many tables were empty. we insisted on getting a table inside. when we showed a little disappointment, in a minutes time he came out and alloted us a table in the corner near the window inside.this was really bad and not a way to treat customers. thefoodwas good. they served their own homemade fries and not the store bought ready to cook, which was really tasty. the vegan cheese pizza and ultimate mozarella burger were the best. the white sauce pasta was also good.

our first day in pondicherry, and this place was suggested by a friend, and oh boy, this place did not disappoint. not only thefoodand ambience amazing the carrot cake which we had was out of the world. another place i would love to come back to on my next visit to the city whenever that happens.

the ambience with its interiors like an old time cottage with chandeliers is perfect for date night! good options infoodand drinks (though limited if you are veg). service is courteous and helpful.

this is one of my favourite cafe in pondicherry. the ambience is very beautiful here. it is quiet relaxing. also, thefoodserved here is very different.

we had some french fries which was served with a garlic dip and a veggie burger which also was delicious.

don’t judge the book by it’s cover. it’s a pretty place but wish thefoodhad lived up to it. thefoodis actually in the opposite end of the spectrum.

tried the vietnamese rolls and they were horrible, the pancakes were super dry, the cheese pesto toast was so bad because the bread was of really poor quality and stale. the tofu curry special was very oily and bad. the chips in the fish and chips were super disappointing! the coffee is super weak. this place is good for instagram and nothing else.

bread and chocolate is way better!!!!!!

i opted this place as my new experiment and my experiment was really good apart from service. ambience andfoodwere really commendable… i would suggest to everyone to visit this place..

i went to the cafe after hearing so much from friends and family however the service was pathetic, staff was rude. i waited for 1 hour outside to get a table after getting exhausted waited 1 hour in their lounge to get a table and then 1 hour again for finally getting the food, in total 3 hours of trouble. service is poor, we were not even offered the preferred table and no snacks were offered while waited for our food. and thefoodis also not worth the hype. it was a terrible experience and if u got a lot of time to waste just on a cafe then good luck.
