first time. as my friend and i were discussing where we should go eat, he said let's go tocornishpasty. wtf? i didn't know what it was but agreed.
this place didn't seem out of the ordinary or spectacular. while walking inside i was caught by surprise of the dimly lit environment. we sat down at these nice wooden tables, and i found myself relaxing and enjoying this cozy bar vibe.
i felt right at home and comfortable. the music that they played inside, made me question my own musical taste, as i listened to the classic rock. my friend explained the food here is like bad-ass hot pockets. i wasn't sure what to expect.
after reviewing all the items on the menu, i concluded it all sounded delicious. i ordered a thanksgiving pasty, that came with red wine gravy, and cranberry sauce.
when our plates arrived, i found myself gazing at a beautiful golden outer crust, with the two sauces in little dipping cups. the pasty was filled with turkey and chicken and stuffing. there may be more but i didn't care too much, it smelled amazing.
i grabbed one of the halves of the pasty, and noticed myself being gentle as if holding a baby, it was beautiful, and i didn't want to ruin it. i took a bite, and felt great as i remembered past thanksgivings. thanksgiving in your mouth. great right?
i ate it slow to enjoy the flavor, and used my sauces carefully. the gravy was mouth watering, and tempted me to just drink it. when i wanted to change up the flavor, the cranberry was a great addition. my mouth waters as i write this.
after finishing my first half, i realized i was contempt and full. i used a fork to stab the contents that fell out. eating here is messy, but is completely worth it.
the food is perfect.
tl;dr - the food here is great! mouth watering.10/10 dim lighting and great music/cozy environment. feels kind of like a bar, seats like a diner.
