good food at a fair price. a tasty pasty that will fill you up! pleasant casual atmosphere and cheerful service. add "spotted dick" to the dessert menu, please.

last night, catherine, moody, pere and i had dinner at the cornish pasty company in tempe. we had been talking about going there together for quite some time, so it was nice to finally be able to do it. if you've never had a pasty (pronounced pass-tea), i

damn good!. i grew up in the upper peninsula of michigan, and my grandma baked pasties for her own restaurant while i was growing up. i'm not sure if she'd approve of a tikka masala pasty, but i sure as hell do. the crust is the toughest thing to get right with a pasty, and i was very happy with this one. i've only been here a few times, but it's somewhere i'm always going to stop when i'm in town.

let start with i am a brit. i know what a cornish pasty looks and taste like. what this place serves is not it. one thing that is authentic is the service. last time i was there i waited 15 minutes for service. the staff where all chit chatting and paid no attention. i love cornish pasties. you will get a more genuine offering at the george and dragon so go there instead

i lived in downtown phoenix and have only been to the new downtown location. didn’t see that here on zomato hence thought of leaving a review here.

we absolutely loved this dish ... unfortunately the chicken tikka and couple other chicken options were all gone so we had salmon dill pasty and lamb shepherds pie pasty. both were really filling and very delicious. i look forward to getting the much raved about chicken tikka pasty some time soon.

disclaimer: i haven’t had cornish pasty before so i have nothing to compare what i ate here with.

this is an excellent spot. the ambiance is cool, the food is always delicious, and they were able to accommodate us when i had my partners birthday party. the only downside is sometimes the pasties are out. this is mostly due to them being so popular, so i guess that's not a bad problem to have?

don't be scared off when you first walk in. i was expecting more of an english pub, got a dark bar with heavy metal music. but the food was amazing!! even my picky kids liked it. red wine reduction dip was perfect compliment to the cottage pie. daughter likes the meatball, similar to a calzone.

i have visited cornish pasty about 3-4 times, and loved everything i have tried out here!

i specially relished their veggie chicken tikka masala and veggie mexican.

their service is little slow - they took more than 30 minutes to start serving. so be prepared for a longish wait. ambience and seating are good.

their prices are fully justified for the great taste and generous portion sizes.

overall, i loved the experience and will be returning for more for sure!

we went to the scottsdale cornish pasty, the ambience is good with outdoor and indoor seating.
good lighting . the service was great.
we ordered starter - chicken wings , which was juicy and fresh .
for main course , we ordered pepper steak, vindaloo, and chicken tikka pasties . loved the pepper steak the most.
desserts: apple caramel pasty and chocolate bread and butter pudding. these 2 is good for 4 people. the taste is amazing and the pudding was very rich and sweet

overall a great experience!

tried their sticky toffee pudding in the 2nd visit- it's heavenly ! yumm! must have dessert!

cornish pasty on mill ave is smaller than its other locations but perfect for a quick drink or get together meal with some cool friends. it's on the corner next to palettas betty and right across from the starbucks. it has a divey dive bar feel which is good, for its aesthetic because of the food and the drinks. food are drinks here are really cheap and delicious so it doesn't have a happy hour which is understandable. maybe if they had daily specials that would be great? but other than that you seat yourself, service was really good and attentive she was amazing and outgoing! i ordered the mac & cheese pasty (9) which was pretty good match it with the chipotle sauce even better. tried the bulliet whisky cocktail (8) that www refreshing too, and the drafts are really good mostly local taps. so if you have been to other locations you know what you're getting into i definitely recommend this place for a quick bite to eat or drinks! okay phoenix stay hungry and cool!

this place is great. we have had almost everything on the menu and liked 90% of it. i could nit pick a couple if i was a dick, but i'm not. 9/10 is pretty awesome for a restaurant. they have good service and a cool atmosphere, but the food is why we go there for lunch at least a few times a month. i know it's kind of a hipster joint, but they have good music too.

great food. good experience. my wife and i had lunch here monday. our meal was very good. both the pasties we had (oggie and spicy chicken asiago) were tasty. the service was excellent. the waiter was right on in helping my wife choose a beer she would like and also with pastie selections. the music was very good. the price of our lunch was entirely reasonable. the bannoffee pie we had for dessert was wonderful. we will be back on our next visit to phoenix.

love real food, in a "different" atmosphere!. cold! (for phoenix) saturday night. time to try some pasties.
seated ourselves at a large table with real church pew seats. ordered drinks from friendly, casual server, along with salads.
fresh, crisp lettuce, best grape tomatoes in town, and a very flavorful balsamic dressing packed with herbs!
oggie pastie for me. bits of steak, potato, onion & rutabaga in a perfect crust. top with the superb wine gravy, and you've got a meal to remember. wife had the pilgrim, a turkey, dressing, sweet potato & onion pastie that was good enough for thanksgiving anywhere.
though we didn't need it, tried the chips (fries) and mashed peas. reminded me of food i had in lancashire, england.
took home half of the pasties, and a sticky toffee pudding dessert . don't think twice, order the sticky toffee! unique!
wait staff was all friendly, though they look like a bunch of anarchist refugees from a gulag in siberia! definite university atmosphere.
the music playing at a comfortable level was splendid! a great mix of rhthym & blues. had a good time, and a terrific meal.

food..........a
service.......b ( casual)
ambience.....b- ( dark, dingy, bluesy, studenty !)
value..........b+
