i brought my mom here for a seafood tower on her birthday for the second year in a row. last year was really good, i would say 4.5 out of 5. this year, not impressed. the scallops had a strong ammonia taste, indicating that they had gone bad. the waitress tried to tell me that they had a strong flavour because they were served raw. um, no. i know what raw scallops are supposed to taste like. she did replace the scallops with extra tuna poke, but again tried to convince me that the scallops werefreshand the strong taste was due to the preparation. oyster shucking was sloppy, many shell fragments, both in the seafood tower and the happy hour oysters that we ordered. we were treated to a free dessert for my mom's birthday, which was nice, but the decline in quality from last year was disappointing. there are many amazing restaurants in vancouver, won't be back to this one.

i took my bf here for a celebration. it’s a bit pricey but we really enjoyed our meal. for appys, we had a few oysters, hamachi and toro nigri and tuna sashimi. everything was superfreshand delicious. the main course took awhile and our waiter brandon actually brought us some sushi rolls to compensate for the waiting time. for the main course, i ordered the maple sablefish and bf ordered the scallops. the sablefish was absolutely divine. it was very tender and well worth the wait. we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back :)

great service, i always feel super welcomed every time i go. the food is also spectacular. alwaysfreshoysters, happy hour menu is amazing. the crab dip is to die for, the kale hearts and brussel sprouts are also very good. beef carparccio is very tender andfreshwith edamame beans which i lovee, i do however wish the bread which comes with it was a bit softer. the chefs special roll is alwaysfreshand very good each time i’ve been. and the taco is probably one of the best tacos i’ve ever had!

i love seafood and my primary diet consists of seafood. i have been to coast twice and have ordered their lobster, salmon flatbread, salads and chowder. having hadfreshnova scotia lobster in halifax, every time i felt satisfied with the food but never amazed. it never tasted like it was worth what i was paying for or that there was a whole lot of innovation but it wasfreshand what you would expect from a glowbal chain restaurant.

coast is part of the glowbal group of restaurants and they specialize in seafood. they bring together west coast flavours withfreshlocal seafood. they have a special cocktail hour from 2:30pm till 5:30pm. on this menu, there is $5 beer and wine as well as oysters, appies, entrees, sushi and sashimi. we rushed from work to make it on time.

nothing special. took a gf there for her birthday. that was my first and last time at coast. food is pretty costly but taken that its allfreshit was easy to bite. also their bar has a huge selection of liquor. you're paying for the experience more so then the food itself i found. if you're ok with that then do it up, but i don't think i'll be back. my total bill was just over $400 for the 2 of us. 2 appies, 2 entrees, 4 drinks. pretty pricey, and it wasn't the most expensive items on the menu. a little too rich for my blood.

coast is another restaurant owned by the huge global group in vancouver. it is where british columbiafreshseafood is highlighted. it offers a true west-coast dining experience in a trendy and fun environment. what’s best about coast is its “happy hour” menu! it’s got an extensive list of appies that you can pick from at 50% off during 3-6pm everyday. my girlfriend and i came to try it out. lobster poutine first up is their “lobster poutine”, a 5oz. atlantic lobster tail with smoked bacon and a sunny-side-up egg on top of a layer of poutine underneath. this was the attention grabber of the night, if you get this, your tables next to yo

oysters are fantastic, but that's about it.. i came here a week ago for dinner, and it was a very busy night. the interior was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. service was so-so. however, it was extremely loud (on second floor), and our table could barely carry on a conversation without having to repeat ourselves over and over.

as for the food, it was lousy. the food took a long time to come (and so did our bills) i ordered salmon two ways, and one piece of the salmon was dry, while the other piece was okay. with some sauce, and one croquette on the side, the dish was $32. it was way overpriced for the quality and portion. nothing special about it.

the only thing worth praising here are the oysters during the "buck a shuck" hours. they're generallyfreshand delicious. unfortunately, that's about it.

overall, the food is a hit or a miss and the quality is inconsistent. i may possibly go back for oysters, but definitely not for anything else.

another stellar meal at coast. this was our second visit to coast for dinner, the first being for dine out vancouver in january, which was the best dine out experience we've ever had. last night, once again, was an excellent, freshseafood dinner, awesome service from our server, alex. in fact every staff member we came in contact with was great. love the atmosphere. we were entertaining family from australia and they raved about the food. this will definitely be our "go to" venue for a great fish feast!

the wine and food pairing dinner at coast restaurant was the highlight of the festival for me. we savoured six award-winning wines from maison louis latour, the oldest remaining family-run winery in burgundy, and enjoyedfreshand local latin-french-japanese inspired dishes prepared by coast’s executive chef pedro gonzalez. it was an opportunity for me to try several expensive french wines that i otherwise wouldn’t normally order when dining out.

was looking forward to trying out coast for the first time, walked out with disappointment. the service was not bad.. for other tables but i felt as if our waitress and quite a few others looked down upon us. there was minimal service, although i could see the waitress walking around to table around mind she completely ignored us and i felt like there was attitude given. she did not try to make any conversation what so ever and also took forever to come to us. overall food was pretty good, oysters werefreshand tasty although they did forget to add spoons for the sauces. the crab poutine was good except it was a bit cold with barely any crab and was full of cheese and sauce. crab cake was dry. the prime rib was excellent however. overall i wouldn't come back because the service i received was just terrible. she ruined my day to say the least

the amazing restaurant. i was very pleased with the service and seafood i ordered. the waiter answered my question clearly and gave me advice that made me satisfied with seafood from canada and how much we should order. plus, i was impressed with the mood in the coast because the interior was wonderful and fantastic.
the food i had was great. seafood like the crab or clams werefreshand tasty.

however,i was a little bit disappointed because they did not have a ice wine.

except that, most of things were perfect. i'm sure that you can enjoy many types of seafood in the coast.

the interior is gorgeous, of course. there is a very cool centre piece in the middle of the restaurant with the bar and sushi bar. all around it, you can watch sushi chefs prepare the raw dishes. below the centre column that displays all the alcohol sitsfreshseafood on ice. i’m not sure if that’s sanitary since it’s uncovered but it sure looks cool. the interior is super stylish and modern. however, the tables were tiny! uncomfortably tiny. i do not enjoy tables that are smaller than the menu.
