churchill's steakhouse

disappointed. we heard so many good things about churchill's, we decided to go. unfortunately, the drinks were weak and overpriced, and thesteakswere undercooked. we asked for medium and were served rare. only ate a couple bites before losing our appetite from all the blood on the dish. not sure if the waitress or the cook got it wrong, but it was very disappointing. the waitress offered to take thesteaksback to cook them more, but we didnt want to wait another 40 minutes for our meal. we were given a box containing four chocolates and an apology for their error. will not be going back - have better things to spend $150 on.

primesteakshand cut for you!. i have been to churchill's many times since their re-opening and have loved it more and more each visit. this place is perfect for a special occasion. but they also do amazing (and cheap) dinner specials - like 2 buck chuck night with prime beef sliders for only 2 bucks! the drinks are perfectly mixed. the salads and veggies are fresh and a wonderful compliment to those perfectly aged steaks. spokane is lucky to have this place!

outstanding place. great service, menu, and food quality in the restaurant.steaksthat have no other comparison in spokane and would be with the best in major cities. the surprise is the bar with great style and a very good offering, best burger in spoane for the money!

i'm over it.. i've been here a couple of times and yes thesteaksare good but the rest of it really falls off. for some reason they think an enormous amount of salt is good seasoning. if you can scrape most of it off the meat is very good. the service in the bar is far superior to what you get upstairs.

i believe i saw the owner the last time i was there and he seemed like a complete d-bag. yes "d-bag", don't want to get anyone offended and have this post removed.

i guess this is a good steakhouse for spokane but compared to those in other cities, it's just..... meh.

if you're on an expense account, go for it, if not, spokane has many other fantastic restaurants, sante, ruins, scratch, durkins and the list goes on. you have a choice people, you might just as well go someplace with great food, a more reasonable price and any an owner/management staff who aren't complete tools.

decent, but don't have high expectations.. this place was pretty good. it is expensive, and they do use way too much pepper. thesteaksare good quality. their bread isn't very good. the butter lettuce salad was good, but the leaves were presented whole. it was difficult to eat. service was good. ambiance was nice. music was bad. it was also really noisy. i didn't love this restaurant, but i didn't hate it either.

horrible service. we reserved a table for our anniversary, hoping to have a quiet celebration.
although we did have a small two top next to the wall, the next table was close enough to share the condiments. thesteaksalthough cooked correctly, a rarity in our recent experience, they were far form worth the price. the wine list is a joke. if i am going to spend 40+ dollars per entrée i would expect them to not need to mark up bottles of wine by 400%.
the service was the worst i have had in recent years. after waiting for almost 15 minutes after seating to even be greeted by the waitress, we were obviously not a table she felt was going to help pay her rent. at one point when she dropped off my wife's drink she barely broke stride. never responding to my wife's question of featured entree's. then when she did return she was far to busy to describe the menu in any detail.
again i agree that thesteaksare very good, although not worth the price. as far as the other parts of the meal our additional shared vegetable was undercooked and the hollandaise sauce tasted like a powdered mix.
all in all i can say for certain that when i plan to spend $200 or more for a nice dinner it will not be at this establishment.

bad service and steaks. the wife said she wished to try churchell's on her birthday so... compared to other tables at the restaurant, we received little service to be impressed by. had we been approached by the chef (more on him later) explaining their cuts and take-out availability, we'd have been a quick sale.
when our meals arrived, both her ribeye and my filletsteakswere over salted, a taste i'll never forget! we both got doggie bags and rinsed off our cold meat at home to enjoy in tacos. a true waste of money.

always exceptional. whether you go when money is tight or when it's not there are options for this first-class steak house. wimpy wednesday is great for awesome burgers at 1/2 price, or if you're flush thesteaksare well worth the money. we live in lofts above, so maybe we're prejudiced, but the friendly service and efficient staff coupled with the old world elegance and exceptional food is a winning combination and we're there twice a week without fail. from the owner bill, management staff lenny, nicole, and all the great servers (dave, katie, sabrina, bailey, dan, et al) they all work hard to ensure your experience is sublime.

superb. my wife and i went to churchill's for her b-day on a monday so there were not many people there. the service was excellent and the food was superb. i am originally from omaha, ne and grew up with qualitysteaksmy whole life. i ordered the bone in filet and it was pricey, but fantastic. the side orders, rolls and imported butter from europe were wonderful. everything was just wonderful. we will be going back soon.

underwhelming. my husband and i made reservations at churchill's on saturday night for his birthday. we drove up the front expecting a valet; there was none. we were seated close to the kitchen door and didn't see our server for 20 minutes. she didn't take our order for over 30 minutes and only after i spoke with the hostess. our shrimp cocktail appetizer came 60 minutes after being seated. we were served one roll each (which was delicious) and thesteakswere very good and seasoned well. our plates were only taken away long after we were finished and our water glasses only refilled after we had finished dessert. they did bring my husband some chocolates to wish him a happy birthday after we had paid the bill.
we've hadsteaksjust as good at two other high-quality restaurants in the area and have had better service at almost every other restaurant, including fast food drive-thrus.
we were very disappointed and will not go back.

great for steak, not for service. we were treating ourselves to a night out for our anniversary and, since we both enjoy a good steak, decided to try churchill's. the rib eyes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. i was puzzled that other reviewers mentioned the delicious rolls [plural]. we were each served one and had to make it last because we didn't see our server again until the main course came. after we got our meal, he didn't come by to ask how oursteakswere or if we wanted more wine; we didn't see him again until he noticed our empty plates pushed off to the side. when he stopped to clear them, we mentioned that we'd like to share a dessert. the creme brulee was mediocre [compared to clinkerdagger's] and we weren't given an extra plate. while the quality of thesteakswould tempt me to go back, i've had more attentive service at red robin for a fraction of the cost.
