steak melted in my mouth. great atmosphere, excellent food and verygoodservice. the new york prime rib was awesome!! we chose to sit downstairs in a booth near the bar and loved our dining experience. churchill's has frequent specials posted on their facebook page, so become a friend on facebook and get their deals! the steak and all their food is unbelievable!!! oh, did i mention the butter (served on an amazing homemade buscuit) is from belguim?! yum
we will be back!

disappointed. we heard so manygoodthings about churchill's, we decided to go. unfortunately, the drinks were weak and overpriced, and the steaks were undercooked. we asked for medium and were served rare. only ate a couple bites before losing our appetite from all the blood on the dish. not sure if the waitress or the cook got it wrong, but it was very disappointing. the waitress offered to take the steaks back to cook them more, but we didnt want to wait another 40 minutes for our meal. we were given a box containing four chocolates and an apology for their error. will not be going back - have better things to spend $150 on.

not a standout. thegoodwine selection doesn't really make up for the unexceptional food and poor service. i probably won't be eating in the main restaurant again unless things improve significantly. the downstairs bar may be worth a trip though.

outstanding place. great service, menu, and food quality in the restaurant. steaks that have no other comparison in spokane and would be with the best in major cities. the surprise is the bar with great style and a verygoodoffering, best burger in spoane for the money!

they spent 10 minutes explaining their "super" ovens to us. i ordered the biggest steak they had medium-well, and my guest ordered rare. my guest got a verygoodrare steak, while i received a bloody mess. my guest ordered a much smaller steak, so it was like they cooked them for the exact same time. it was disappointing. they took it back and cooked it right. what i then had was a very, verygoodsteak. they understand that no matter what, you always season the food. a little goes a long ways. the peas were super crisp and splendid. the garlic mashed potatoes were the most amazing i've ever had. top notch restaurant. now they just need to teach their chefs to cook a steak, and not just push a button and hope its right.

i'm over it.. i've been here a couple of times and yes the steaks aregoodbut the rest of it really falls off. for some reason they think an enormous amount of salt isgoodseasoning. if you can scrape most of it off the meat is very good. the service in the bar is far superior to what you get upstairs.

i believe i saw the owner the last time i was there and he seemed like a complete d-bag. yes "d-bag", don't want to get anyone offended and have this post removed.

i guess this is agoodsteakhouse for spokane but compared to those in other cities, it's just..... meh.

if you're on an expense account, go for it, if not, spokane has many other fantastic restaurants, sante, ruins, scratch, durkins and the list goes on. you have a choice people, you might just as well go someplace with great food, a more reasonable price and any an owner/management staff who aren't complete tools.

decent, but don't have high expectations.. this place was pretty good. it is expensive, and they do use way too much pepper. the steaks aregoodquality. their bread isn't very good. the butter lettuce salad was good, but the leaves were presented whole. it was difficult to eat. service was good. ambiance was nice. music was bad. it was also really noisy. i didn't love this restaurant, but i didn't hate it either.

4 star restaurant, really?. service in the bar was okay. the table service wasgoodupstairs. more space between tables would be nice though. prices are a bit high, though the food was good. however, what i do not understand for a 4 star restaurant, is why would they have co-ed bathroom facilities? after our $170 dinner for two, i went to use a bathroom, which a man had just left the bathroom, leaving the seat up. i stood there stunned, that i would have to touch a urine stained toilet seat, after eating, in what spokane refers to as a restaurant with notoriety for excellence? i do not think of this as elegance and i am hoping mngt has changed this idea of co-ed bathrooms. i went elsewhere for a bathroom.

underwhelming. my husband and i made reservations at churchill's on saturday night for his birthday. we drove up the front expecting a valet; there was none. we were seated close to the kitchen door and didn't see our server for 20 minutes. she didn't take our order for over 30 minutes and only after i spoke with the hostess. our shrimp cocktail appetizer came 60 minutes after being seated. we were served one roll each (which was delicious) and the steaks were verygoodand seasoned well. our plates were only taken away long after we were finished and our water glasses only refilled after we had finished dessert. they did bring my husband some chocolates to wish him a happy birthday after we had paid the bill.
we've had steaks just asgoodat two other high-quality restaurants in the area and have had better service at almost every other restaurant, including fast food drive-thrus.
we were very disappointed and will not go back.

great for steak, not for service. we were treating ourselves to a night out for our anniversary and, since we both enjoy agoodsteak, decided to try churchill's. the rib eyes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. i was puzzled that other reviewers mentioned the delicious rolls [plural]. we were each served one and had to make it last because we didn't see our server again until the main course came. after we got our meal, he didn't come by to ask how our steaks were or if we wanted more wine; we didn't see him again until he noticed our empty plates pushed off to the side. when he stopped to clear them, we mentioned that we'd like to share a dessert. the creme brulee was mediocre [compared to clinkerdagger's] and we weren't given an extra plate. while the quality of the steaks would tempt me to go back, i've had more attentive service at red robin for a fraction of the cost.

agoodsteak. during our one night stay in spokane, we decided to eat at churchill's mainly because it was a short walk from our hotel. the beef there is top quality, and my steak was delicious. as was the creamed onion soup. one final note is just how friendly the wait staff is. especially compared to cities like las vegas, our waiter here seemed very genuine. so much so, it was almost suspicious. all in all, churchill's features food that is both familiar, and prepared with a great amount of skill.

finnally! real restaurant people.. unique to spokane restaurant scene are the owner and crew of churchills.goodsalt restraunteers that actually care about the restaurant and the people in it. warm and welcoming! this goes without saying the amount of care that goes into each plate, glass and butter server. definately the place for knowledgeable scotch and whiskey service. what a treat!

the best steak i have ever had in a restaurant. my ny strip was very thick and cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of searing on the outside to add huge flavor. amazing. and make sure you get the potatoes au gratin side. stunninglygoodfood ;)
