carlo's bakery

un lugar muy conocido por el programa de televisión cake boss, por ende hay mucha gente dentro, es amplio, pero la atención es muy lenta. hay que ir con paciencia, pero la espera vale la pena. los cannolis son lo más delicioso.

we were fortunate enough to be around the area at some stupid early time like 7:30 on a sunday morning so we decided to check what all the "cake boss" hype is about..

glad we went early, a few minutes after we arrived a massive tour bus parked up and dozens of tourists flooded the place, that's when the post office style ticketing system kicked in...

we had a carrot cake cup cake, a white chocolate mousse thing, & a cappuccino.. the carrot cake was unfortunate.. defiantly not like a boss, not even a janitor... white choc mousse was very good, as one would expect, & cappuccino was good too, albeit a little under filled

the shop is very nicely kept, not too many seats though.. you do feel a buzz in the atmosphere both from staff & excited tourists (some like silly star struck teenagers).. the designs are just fabulous, but at the end of the day i was there to eat cake and left underwhelmed.. unless you happen to be around stupid early, it's just not worth the queue..

can't stand the line and people in it, but can't hold that against them! it is worth it though, the cakes & pastries are delicious and very reasonably priced. i always recommend visitors come here & they aren't disappointed.

had the lobster tail (croissant filled with cream), caramel cupcake and a cannoli. cakes were all very nice and would recommend if in the area. note there are no savoury options at this location which was a bit disappointing.

so many people are saying items are stale.. everywhere i go and talk about carol's bakery, no one is impressed. please make the change to make sure the items are fresh, we have had dry cupcakes, average canolis. so disappointed but please respond to all the reviews and make a change. we need great bakeries.

awesome experience!. i ordered a cake for my us air force retirement. i called the westfield store to schedule an appointment. i spoke with allyson buckley who was very helpful and curteous. when i arrived for my appointment, allyson spoke with me to find out exactly what i wanted. she was very attentive to my request. she was also patient and kept in contact with me after the visit to ensure i was getting everything that i wanted. the cake and cupcakes were very beautiful and delicious...there wasn't any left over. need i say that everyone enjoyed them! i want to thank allyson and everyone in the westfield store who helped to make my special day wonderful! thank you!

we were just walking by and noticed there was a short line so we decided to stop in for a quick treat. there really is nothing quite like an authentic italian bakery. the smell is the most amazing thing in the world and the pastries we got definitely did not disappoint.

terrible experience!. my husband bought me a cake from carlo's bakery to celebrate my 50th birthday. he ordered the cake in advance via telephone with a cake consultant. i had once had a chocolate cupcake with fudge frosting from carlo's bakery which i loved.. my husband ordered chocolate cake with cannoli filling and the chocolate fudge frosting. he also asked for lots of roses to be put on the cake. the cake was 1/2 a sheet cake and he was quoted a price of $110. my husband said the consultant had difficulty taking the order and was talking about his upcoming vacation. fast forward to my birthday. my husband drove 2 hours to pick up the cake. the cake had vanilla buttercream frosting and 4 roses! he complained and they did add a few more roses, but the frosting was wrong. he had to call the ordering department and all anyone says is i have to talk to my boss. today he was told they had to talk to angelo about the cake. fyi a 1/2 sheet cake pricing begins at $85, so obviously we were ripped off. my party was yesterday and he had no choice other than to take the cake that was marked as being our order. my husband drove 2 hours home. the cake was the worst tasting cake i ever had. in fact, only 1 guest liked the cake. i had been so looking forward to my 50th birthday cake from buddy. it was a huge disappointment. i think perhaps buddy needs to take more care of his own bakery. it is a joke that he has a show where he travels around the country fixing other people's bakeries. buddy, you need to stay at home and pay attention to the quality of your own bakery. we will never again go to carlo's bakery and i caution others' who plan to order a celebration cake from the bakery. it's definitely not worth the hype. the cakes i've had from grocery stores, even walmart, are better than this!

cake. i decided to get my boyfriend's birthday cake from here, specially made. i went there to go over what i wanted on the cake and what kind of cake i would like it to be. the staff was very friendly and drew up exactly what i had in my head. i was nervous to pick it up to see how they transformed the design into the real thing. i couldn't be happier! it surpassed all expectations! definitely coming back here for many more cakes!

sweet treats. when i went to hoboken i knew i had to try the famous carlo's bakery. i expected a lot, but i was worried that they wouldn't meet my high expectations. fortunately, they met my expectations and much more. from the family environment to the tasty pastries, i was very happy with my experience there and will definitely be going back.

a disappointment, after waiting two hours, only for my daughters love, i was not pleased to find that they were sold out of about everything, the servers are lackluster and they were cleaning up while we were waiting in line how rude.

we couldn't visit new york without visiting carlo's bakery. new jersey is only a short train ride away from the world trade centre so suze and i made the pilgrimage on our last full day in new york.

please open bakery in manalapan nj. had lobster tails on the breakaway same time buddy and family were on the ship tails were great cant find the same taste down here no one makes them like buddy

make sure you get there nice and early. we got there around 11:20 and left at 12:30. when we left the line was all the way down the street. but the wait is worth it. the cakes are amazing! i'd wait that long again just for the lobster tails!

great, but a very long line. i was very excited to meet buddy and go here, even with a very long line. i even went early and i had to wait an hour on line in order to get in. in fact, cake boss is my favorite tv show.

sweet treats. my daughter and i visited a few days ago. the lobster tails and tiramisu, were to die for. i felt like i was biting into a piece of heaven. it was very packed inside the bakery though, i really couldn't look around at everything they had because we were packed in like sardines. i would still go back.
