the burgers here are bomb!! we tried the canteen 18 classic with bacon and the nothing burger. both were delicious. i really loved the nothing burger - the patty was nice and juicy, buns were toasted, a good amount of sauce and fresh veggies and served with chips.

this place is a must visit if you love burgers. the best burger place in town. we ordered canteen classic beef and chicken burgers. loaded with meat and moist fillings, this was one of the best thing i ever had..the bun was soft and moist too. one burger is quite heavy for one. worthy of the money. the place is too good. the ambience reminded me of old hollywood movies with jazz music. the grim colour on the walls adds to it's beauty..one of the best cafes in pondi

canteen 18 is a sweet spot in heritage town, built inside a house, run by a lady owner who's very sweet. it's got lovely interiors and i'm sure this will be a cherry to your trip to pondicherry.

veg canteen classic burger: it's one of the tasiest burgers i've ever had. it had fresh lettuce leaves, potato patty, fresh tomatos, onion and a fine collection of barbeque sauce and mint mayonnaise. highly recommend!

egg canteen classic sandwich: this sandwich caught my attention instantly, for the beautiful appearance of it. it had a good amount of egg content to fill your stomach.

hazelnut cold coffee: good if you're a fan of hazelnut.

peach and apricot lemonade: a big refresher with natural taste like soda. you might want to top it up with ice.

the only sad part was, they didn't have tomato ketchup. but that's fine for the taste of food.

hi the ambience of the place is great walkable distance from the promenade had ordered the bacon croissant & beef&bacon burger which i felt that there was too much mustard which killed the taste of the meats........

very late service, i went there for the first time as recommended by my frnd regarding tasty burgers....taste is very nice, but i waited for almost an hour to get the burger..... of course as a good gesture they offered half bill concession.

want to taste the best burger in town ! then this will be the right choice 🤩 i had a hot dog and a burger 🍔 they were soo juicy and slipped inside the mouth easily.they have a retro style ambience 🎉must hunt place for burger 🍔

i have been going to this place for quite a while now. their burgers are amazing and the sauce they use tastes delicious. i always have the bacon and chicken burger because i love it so much. one of the best burger places in pondicherry hands down.

from a small corner side cafe near mission street, to a full fledged restaurant dishing out one of the best burgers in pondicherry, canteen 18 has grown leaps and bounds.

ambience: with low lighting, rustic ambience, smooth jazz playing in the background. canteen 18 is a laid back treat and a great place for a romantic date or a quiet dinner with plenty of conversation. it's never overcrowded and the music is faint. overall a very pleasant experience.

this burger was hands down one of the best burgers i've had in pondicherry, taking into careful consideration that pondicherry doesn't have many burger joints dishing out excellent burgers.
the bun was soft and toasted and held together it's contents well. the layers of toppings and beef were put together in such a way that the burger didn't fall apart in your hands. the quantity for the price was full filling. the sauces weren't over done and complimented the meat exceptionally. what was a real let down though was the chips that came with the burger. wasn't a big fan of mad angles and would've preferred the option of fries which unfortunately weren't on the menu. but with crisp bacon and sausage, i was nothing but content.

this place has the most calming ambience i have ever come across, with soft jazz music playing in the background and the rustic charm of the place itself, the place slowly massages one to calmness and gears one up to have the delicious food available here.
the texas beef and bacon burger here was one of the tastiest burger i have had, couple that with the delicious cold coffee and you have a perfect meal. friendly staff only add to the charm.

love the vibe, the texas chicken and the texas beef and bacon burger were succulent and the sauces were on point, jazz in the background was a big yes.

the dish was served with bingo madangles rather than nachos, but that's fine it tasted great.

now coming to the drinks , shakes were thick and were not too sweet which is perfect.

the ambiance is quite soothing owing mostly to the delightful jazz that's always playing. it's made all the more hospitable by the charming lady from darjeeling who always make sure guests are always comfortable. food is quite sumptuous. service is also quite prompt. this place seems to be a real keeper.

wowww !!!!! the best burgers in town.......it was quite big one.....i have ordered chicken texas burger......it was soo soft and juicy......loved the flavors of patty........served with some nachos...... must try if you are a burger lover....... ambiance was great

i usually don't like burgers, but seriously this place does have really really amazing burgers.
the oreo shake was also too good.
the ambience is very quirky, funky and cozy.
the hospitality at this place adds to its awesomeness.

best burger place in town! i had never been full on a burger before, and i was pleasantly surprised that i was full after eating one single burger. every bite was perfect with a good balance of bread, meat, sauce and caramelised onions. the meat was tender and succulent. leaves little room for improvement. highly recommended for all burger lovers!
