i have heard a lot about the place for their burgers and wanted to try it out. the place wasn't difficult to find and seemed like a house turned into cafe , located in first and second floor. the walls and decors are so unique and retro. the food is served in trays.
the latte was good and aromatic. the cold coffee was really good.
the burgers we took were miami chicken burger and classic veg burger. the miami burger was so damn good and juicy and filling. they had options of singlepattyor double patty. the classic veg burger has barbecue smokey flavour which i didn't prefer. they give mad angles with burgers.

hands down one of the best burger places in town. we had the texas burger and the miami burger. thepattywas juicy and succulent. served alongside corn chips it was perfect.
the miami burger had a sauce which was a bit too sweet for my liking.
but overalls it was a good experience.
a must try

i love the retro ambience at canteen 18. the jazz music really sets the mood . i tried the miami burger today which is the latest addition to their menu and i specially liked the subtle flavours and the fact that it comes with a flattened bun and a extra bigpatty😊

i ordered doublepattyyet received single patty. aren't the restaurant stupid and irresponsible.

this small place in heritage town was cosy and comfortable, and had the best food. with a limited menu, they make amazing burgers with different meat options and toppings. we had the cajun beef burger and a simple hotdog. one burger is quite large and sufficient to serve two, and is very affordable. thepattyis juicy, the toppings all fresh and these melt into a great overall burger. this place deserves the hype and is definitely a must try.

if you are in pondicherry this is a must try place! both the burgers i ate were amazing and thepattywas very tasty!

after reading many suggestions online ,tried the cowboy beef burger from canteen18 and it was damn yummy.

the ambience is quite cozy and limited....
has an antique touch with jazz played on the background! my personal favorite are the newyork cream cheese burger and cranberry soda.
thepattyis juicy and well spiced and flavorful.
sauce and cheese are well balanced and are delicious!
however, the vegetarian burger and shakes are not upto the expectation.....
service is fast and good. must visit place whenever in town!

i ordered the miami doublepattysignature pressed burger , french fries and 🥜 butter and jelly milkshake (might have been my cheat day, lets not judge shall we!).

and i finally found out what everyone is talking about and i literally mean everyone! it was an experience i shall remember!

it's a really charming burger and jazz café inspired by new orleans... the interiors are rustic with knick knacks the couple who own this cafe have collected from all their travels, the music is jazz... well a match made in heaven i say.

the burger was juicy, tender, sweet, savoury, spiced with buns toasted to perfection! can't remember the last time i enjoyed a burger this much! it comes with a side of spiced nachos.

the fries were really well done and crispy, do remember to request them for their house sauce with the fries.

the burgers here are bomb!! we tried the canteen 18 classic with bacon and the nothing burger. both were delicious. i really loved the nothing burger - thepattywas nice and juicy, buns were toasted, a good amount of sauce and fresh veggies and served with chips.

canteen 18 is one of the best cafes in pondicherry.

when i first spotted this cafe, it seemed small and not too attractive. but after having the food there, i was speechless.

the bacon and beef texas burger was the best burger i ever had. the beefpattywas tender and juicy. the bacon was extra crispy and added the perfect amount of greasiness to the burger. the cheese and various sauces just melted in my mouth.

the hot dogs were just as delicious. the prices might be a little high but the place is worth a try.

in all, this is a beautiful french cafe that i would love to visit again and would recommend to all.

disappointing experience especially after built up expectations from online reviews. homestyle burgers lacking texture or taste. meatpattywas neither hot nor crisp. sauce wasn't right. burger didn't go down well. good people behind the counter, hope they step up their game.
