visited last week with friends. the place is dim lit, quaint, simple yet feel good. very courteous people who run the place. the burgers were simply amazing. must try in pondicherry.

this small place in heritage town was cosy and comfortable, and had the best food. with a limited menu, they make amazing burgers with different meat options and toppings. we had the cajun beef burger and a simple hotdog. one burger is quite large and sufficient to serve two, and is very affordable. the patty is juicy, the toppings all fresh and these melt into a great overall burger. this place deserves the hype and is definitely a must try.

best burgers ever had!
beautiful jazz music playing , tiny homely set up!
the lady / owner taking our orders was warm enough to explain stuff and help us choose.
ordered :
lemon iced tea
cranberry soda
gambino burger
texas burger
ny burger
miami burger
grilled cheese croissant
the 0.5 is deducted only cause didn't like the drinks too much.

i was pleasantly surprised by the variety of burgers that they have here and they are distinctly different from one another unlike other places. the portions are satisfying and the service is great. very warm people and the staff is excellent they always wear a smile. i noticed that the women consist  75 to 80 % of the workforce here, which is really lovely " women empowerment ! ". the selective jazz music playing in the background shows the detail they have worked on. canteen 18 is an experience that you want to relive again and again. you guys doing a great job, keep it up.
suggestion : lets us know when a new burger is born :)

it’s a very small place and doesn’t serve alcohol, to the best of our knowledge, but it’s a must try in pondy. the food, the decor, the music and the general vibe is killer and the owners seem to have worked hard for it. you’ll enjoy the food and the music, 100%. also they haven’t tried to do a 100 things. their menu is small and it works best that way.

do not miss this place if you are in pondi. they have the best vegetarian burgers around.
the place has been a find of our trip to this city. extremely friendly host and amazing food.

less crowded place with slow music and nice ambience. good place to hangout.

new york burger combined with ice tea is quite good.
service was quite fast as well

suggestion to canteen18: need to wait for ice tea to get cold. please try to serve it cold

stopped by here to grab a cup of coffee for the boyfriend and some soda for me. cappuccino was okay-ish but the soda was terrible. service was extremely slow, gloomily empty place.

the friendlist hosts you could possible imagine and the best burgers in pondicherry by a mile. i would recommend you become a regular here, because of the blossoming friendship that you will be greeted with and a taste of food excellence.

ordered a burger and a hot dog. both were half decent but smothered in sauce that completely covered up any actual flavor of the meat. the milkshake was as advertised just skim milk that had been shaken. place is a tiny room nothing to write home about. pictures in the reviews have just been really well taken.

after reading many suggestions online ,tried the cowboy beef burger from canteen18 and it was damn yummy.

so, after seeing the 4+ rating of this place , we decided to have lunch here. the ambience is good , the place is like a 3bhk apartment and they have kept very basic and raw interiors , which is the best part of this place. we ordered a new york veg sandwich and an irish iced coffee. sandwich was average and iced coffee was so bad that we could not finish even half of it. service was extremely poor and slow. overall, not a place i will.like to visit again.
