this is from yet another girls’ night out i went to with another set of my girlfriends. we met at cactus in kirkland and had a good time there. it was crowded and there was long wait as it was a friday night, but we scored some seats at the bar and ordered drinks while we waited for our table. we had a few other things, but i remember the butternutsquashenchiladas which are one of my favorite things to eat there and we also had the roasted potatoes tacos ( i don’t have a picture of that) which was pretty delicious too. the three milk cuban flan was so out of the world but the cowgirl brownie was very so-so. overall, we had a good time there!

one of the best mexican fusion restaurants in seattle. thesquashenchiladas are a must. there are many tasty items and the atmosphere is nice, especially on warm days when you can sit outside.

great food and incredible service!. we just got done eating here and it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences in recent history for us. i had the fish tacos and my girlfriend ordered the butternutsquashenchiladas. the food was delicious and the servings were large enough to fill the manliest of appetites. i highly recommend getting the patron agave margarita (no mixes here)! and ricardo is the man when it comes to pleasant, polite and very speedy service, he also made some great recommendations from the menu to give a couple new customers an idea of what is popular. definitely go here!!!

sooo good!. oh my - we just had the most terrific lunch at cactus in kirkland! margaritas were extra good. hubby's butternutsquashenchiladas were unusual and really tasty. but the best thing yet were the carne asade tacos - what amazing flavor! we were treated to dessert for it being our first time there - we were impressed & will definitely be back!

i wish i didn't live 3000 miles away.. every time i return to seattle, this is a must stop restaurant on my list. years ago, friends introduced me to this popular kirkland restaurant and my taste buds immediately fell in love! a truly unique and fresh take on mexican cuisine. this is where i tried my first 'mojito' and no other place has been able to match it. the house specialty, 'butternutsquashenchiladas' are a must!!! (if i was on death row...this would be my last meal.) despite the busy atmosphere, i have always received prompt and friendly service. bartender's are very knowledgeable and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

suimmer treat. we had a fabulous dinner the other night. the special was stuffedsquashblossoms with goat cheese, and chimmichuri. absolutely divine and only available for a few weeks in the summer when the blossoms are available. this is local eating at its finest; they must be savored during that brief moment.

butternutsquashenchilada. our team lunch was at cactus in kirkland. i'm not a vegetarian, so surprised even myself by ordering the butternutsquashenchilada (it came very highly recommended by our waiter). i had a hankering for the the dungeness crab & chorizo cakes lunch item but switched at the last minute. the butternutsquashenchilada was quite good, but is something i think my wife would prefer. next time (yes, there's likely one in the future because i'd like to take my wife) i'll try the navajo torta (which someone else in my party ordered--huge) or my original dungness crab order.
