cacao 70

they are perfect! everything i was hoping for! crunchy enough in the exterior but soft in the interior! you might want put the waffles aside to prevent the ice cream softens the waffle’s texture! i would say these waffles are just as good as breakfast club’s!
something to be expected, the chocolate can be overwhelming! which dish in cacao 70 isn’t?

sans (trop) tomber dans les comparaisons, j’ai bien apprécié mon retour à cacao 70, mais je préfère tout de même mon juliette et chocolat. je lève mon chapeau pour la variété de l’offre et le chocolat chaud décadent. vous m’y reverrez surement cet hiver pour réchauffer mon cœur et mes papilles!

so recently i had a massive cake craving, and my friend suggested we go to cacao70, since the last time we tried to go we were too late and they didn’t accept any more people in line. i actually thought this was nice of them, that they wouldn’t let us line up and then tell us that they were closing. but anyway, we made it this time and while we did wait about 20 minutes, it was worth it to satisfy my craving. i have to say that where we were waiting was a little stuffy and really just not very comfortable, especially since it was raining that night. walking into the store, the aroma of dark chocolate wasn’t too overwhelming which was surprising. usually at these dessert places, the smell of chocolate when you enter the store completely turns you off. so i was still in my chocolate cake mood as we were seated and given our hipster glass bottle of water. the setup of the store made it so that you could watch them prepare the waffles, crepes and most of the dishes. being a student of diet

delicious!!!!! had a crepe and omelette done to perfection! servings are on the larger side! thinking about going back and trying some of their sandwiches they look deadly! service still needs work but food is amazing!

seulement pour le chocolat.... j'adore cacao70 ! leurs pizzas sont à tomber et va s'en dire de leur fondue ! par contre, hier j'ai été extrêmement déçu et j'ai eu ma première mauvaise expérience dans ce resto... la crêpe et gâteau au fromage est absolument horrible, tenez vous en loin. la crêpe est mince et bonne, mais elle est rempli avec une horrible mixture se voulant "du gâteau au fromage" et quand je dis rempli, c'est rempli. beaucoup trop massif, lourd et le fromage, et bien j'ai du laisser au moins une tasse de celui-ci dans le coin de mon assiette et j'ai tout de même fini la soirée avec un beau mal de coeur. bref, je vais y retourner pour sur, car j'adore cet endroit, mais ce plat, plus jamais.

tonight i shared a triple chocolate fondue that came with 3 chocolates: dark, milk and white. i was not expecting the chocolates to be combined and had i realized, i would have order classic fondue with dark chocolates.

sweeeeeeets!. so having heard this restaurant being raved on and on, i decided to hop right into it for a late afternoon lunch or supper early supper. i have to admit i hesitated on whether or not a dessert place could replace a meal. but boy was i wrong!

we ordered the salty rosbif crepe to share for two people right off the bat. the crepe itself was soft and warm but quite bland and mushy with the savory filling of mushrooms, cheese and roast beef. crepe like this would be perfect for sweets though! with the light salad, it was already filling up our stomachs!

then we ordered a black and white fondue for two. chocolate always tastes good whether melted or solid, seriously. we chose this combination due to my love of black chocolate and my friend's obsession of white chocolate. though, it slightly disappointed me since the fondue came with both chocolates all swirled up instead of being separated. basically, we got ourselves a fondue of ordinary milk chocolate instead of black and white. the waffles were ah-mazing-ly soft and yummy. the brownie-ish bites were too sweet for a fondue and they give you fruits like it costs no bucks. definitely a first time in my life i have ever eaten so much fruit within a short period of time. suprisingly fell in love with the combination of pineapple and chocolate! who would have thought!

will definitely go back for other sweets choices!

gentiment, j'ai demandé s'il était possible de commander un simple chocolat froid (lait au chocolat sans l'ice cream, bien froid, à l'emporter)

j'ai d'abord payé 8 dollars.... puis on m'a servi un petit gobelet de lait tiède - à peine chocolaté... c'est à dire qui n'avait pratiquement pas le goût de chocolat, ni la couleur.... j'ai souligné ce fait et j'ai reçu une réponse impolie et méprisante.... tout cela pour 8 dollars!

so many choices. the lady who served us was so nice. we were actually just checking the menu and she starting bringing us samples of milk chocolate and waffles. so... i fell right away in love with the place. the menu has so many choices from waffles to fondue. i took the fondue and my friends took the crepes. everything was delicious and they are pretty open to any personalized order. so if you are a peanut butter freak, then it's possible for you to ask to add it. in sum, love the place to have deserts.

great vibe, warm atmosphere.. love the decor. they really don't skimp on the chocolate!!! we ordered the "sharing sharing" plate(for two) and the stawberry cheesecake crepe. we had 5 people and couldn't finish everything. my first time having a cheesecake crepe and it was heavenly. i love how there were enough items on the sharing plate to let everyone try at least one of each item.

i only have juliette et chocolat and the melting pot to compare to this restaurant but if i were to choose one to return to, i'd pick this place :) when i come back, i would love to try their chocolate drinks!

awesome. they really know their chocolate pizza ! i am coming back - for sure !!!!

not happy with the service. my group of 3 was rushed to place our order & pushed out the door 35min before the restaurant's posted closing hour. not likely to recommend this place to chocolate lovers.

avoid!!!. we had a crepe at this place and not only did we wait 25 minutes for it to arrive but it was also served cold! service also comes with a big attitude problem! we complained asking if it could be warmed up and the waiter frowned at us while taking the plate. we then ended up waiting another 10 minutes to microwave a crepe!!! needless to say, we'll never go again to cacao 70.

this is one of the best places in montreal to get your chocolate fix! it's not expensive too. there's a wide variety of choices that also include crepes, sandwiches and salads. sidenote: choco marshmallow pizza is a must try!:)

don't miss the one in the gay village! great brunch!
