love it! but urbanspoon profile for cacao70 is a little bit misleading... i went on urbanspoon to see reviews and to get more info about this place since me and my friend are looking for some place we haven't tried yet. my friend is vegan and so we decided to go cuz it says here that its "vegan-friendly". when we got there, we couldn't really see anything vegan so we asked the waiter and he didn't find anything but 1 salad and 1 smoothie. i think they have to remove the "vegan-friendly" feature on this page. other than that... i am a chocolate lover so as expected, i lovecacao70!

i arrived atcacao70 at 11:20 pm and as i walked through the door they told me their kitchen was closed. they claim that they are open until 12, terrible customer service there were 2 people ahead of me and 2 people behind me we all were told to basically beat it.... i liked the place but after that i won't be back..

hi all i would like to wr.... hi all

i would like to write a review about this place and hope it gets out there. last friday my friends and i went tocacao70 and the service was beyond bad. we were 6 people and ended up being 8 at the end so we asked for a extra chair and they wouldn't give it to us. we were very polite and the whole night this waitress with short black hair and petite kept being mean to us and never made sure we were ok. long story short, i think customer service is very important and they weren't accomadating. the worse part, we wanted to complain to the manager but he was as young and didn't say a word to her.

anyways i prefer the other chocolate place juliette et chocolate. i will never return to this place and i don't suggest it to anybody.

after checking out some live music, we were looking for a late night dessert spot. i've never been tocacao70 even though it's blown up recently and expanded all over canada (vancouver and edmonton). this branch is located beside mon ami.

we dropped in on a friday (around 10:30pm) to find it reasonably busy. love how late it's open till. the perfect place to cap off your night or to bring a date. the exposed brick and chic decor fits the ambiance perfectly.

there's a food menu but really, you should be focusing all your attention on the desserts. there's an abundance of options (mostly chocolate oriented) including cakes, fondue, drinks, crepes, ice cream, sweet pizzas and dessert platters. the platters are meant to be shared ($12.50 to $31.95)!

- chocolate envy ($15.50) - quarter of a 12" pizza with chocolate marshmallow, chocolate brownie bites, chocolate wafer, whipped cream and chocolate fondue. my favourite was the pizza. cut a piece, add some ice cream and dip into the fondue. yum!

will need to come back to try their dipped soft serve ice cream. 3.5 stars.

the menu atcacao70 is diverse, ranging from savory, including sandwiches and salads, to sweet, including chocolate fondue, waffles, crêpes and their signature  triple chocolate pizza , consisting of melted dark, milk, and white chocolate on pizza dough served with strawberries and bananas on the side. there’s warm chocolate sauce for an extra kick.   the d ough was soft and chewy, in addition to the rich chocolate topping. i had two slices and  when it was time for the third slice, i couldn’t take any more. but luckily, i had 3 awesome buddies to give me a helping hand. that’s what friends are for, right? we were craving for waffles that night, and so

cacao 70 has been one of my favorite restaurants. i love the interior decors and the chocolate!cacao70 is the chocolate expert and has been a splendid job. i would recommend the pizza and the waffles (see pics) if you have sweet tooth. if not, they have other meals that make you drool too! what i like about the store other than the decors and food is that the unique food decorations. i could just stare at the food all day. they are just too pretty to eat! everything i eat, i felt like a criminal for ruining such beautiful arts.   the choc-nut waffle ($13.50) the waffles are very smooth and soft. the vanilla ice cream is a perfect addition. i never thought one can eat waffle with ice cream. again,cacao70 introduced me to a new discovery. the strawberries are sweet and the bananas are dipped in caramel sauce. what i love is to dip the strawberries in the dark chocolate sauce. i absolutely love how the chocolate slowly slides around the strawberries surface a

sadly disappointing. i can't speak to its food menu, but i was not satisfied with my order. i really wanted to givecacao70 a positive review, but the beverages didn't come anywhere close to delivering based on its descriptions. i was craving a sweet, chocolatey treat after dinner and figured i'd grab a cinnamon and orange infused hot chocolate as per the menu. i was advised that they had updated their menu and no longer offered the "giuseppe". i had my heart set on this 😢🙁 - cinnamon, orange, dark chocolate, a perfect combination in my mind! she suggested i try the spicy hot chocolate, "chumpurrado" most likely an attempt to rush and turn over the line as quickly as possible. i can confirm that there was no spice, not even a hint of it. i could taste cinnamon in the thick chocolate malt i was presented with, but it was not worth the $10 or so dollars i spent on it.

chocolate for brunch? yes, please.  that was the case when my family and i visited the popular chocolate-focused cafe,cacao70, in montreal.  cacao 70 has been delighting quebecers with decadent, chocolate-based desserts with four locations in montreal alone.  there are also two other cafes in quebec and five more in ontario.

walking downtown i had often passed in front of the restaurant, but lately as i was walking on mont-royal i saw that they had open another location and decided to try it. the restaurant is calledcacao70 and after some research i found out they had 3 locations on the island of montreal. if you look at the pictures on different social media sites you will see lots of chocolate everywhere as the name would suggest, it would be only normal.

as most dessert places are pricey, i came to expect this fromcacao70. my boyfriend and i ordered the 'make your own parfait' dish, and it came with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, strawberries, nuts, chocolate, brownie crumbles, crackers and melted chocolate. we thoroughly enjoyed the variety of ingredients, and it made me feel like a little child playing with all these components. we would have liked to have more ice cream, because it wasn't really a parfait (ratio of ice cream to ingredient toppings). for the price, i wouldn't order it again, but it was fun!

impossible seating for 5. went tocacao70 at around 10h30 on a sunday, the place was full but we were the first in line (group of 5). waitress told us to wait, and waited and waited, more people came behind us (groups of 2 and 3) and the waitress sat them right away. a table of 4 was free right in front of us but the she refused to sit us there when there was clearly enough space. we asked to be broken up in 2 and 3 to sit faster and she denied us when plenty of other small groups had gone in front of us. after almost an hour wait we left, frustrated at the place.

nope. i stopped by on a chilly weekend afternoon to enjoy a hot chocolate. the place was packed with downtowners in their early 20s, pretty much like the staff. i ordered a spicycacao70 which was described as "paprika, curry, cardamom and espelette". as soon as i tasted it i realized there was a mistake. the 10$ cup of hot chocolate tasted like a regular 6$ hot chocolate. no spices detected. the waitress was nowhere to be seen so i drank half of it anyway. i went to the counter to pay. i told my waitress that i had not received the beverage that i ordered. either she thought i had no knowledge of what spices taste like, or she thought i was cheap, but in any case she was arrogant and didn't believe me. she asked me if i drank it, i said i finished half of it since she wasn't around, so i expected her to charge me a regular hot chocolate. to my amazement, she actually went to my table, brought over my half-empty cup, and took a spoonful to taste!!! she hesitated and said yep, i think they put too much base but we can still taste a bit of spice. i couldn't believe this!!!! since this person was unable to manage the situation properly i paid 10$ plus taxes and tip and told myself this place would never see me again.

worst experience ever. i just went tocacao70 for breakfast. i decided to try out their new location on parc avenue which is closer to my house. i've been to the one in the gay village and thoroughly enjoyed my experience each time but the location on parc avenue sucked soooooooo much!. the bacon was the cheap microwave kind, the sausage was not the breakfast kind and wasn't even cooked well and the ham was also the cheap convenience store kind. the best part of the breakfast was the bread. i didn't even get the chance to say anything to the staff because our server only took our order and that's it. i stood next to her to go pay and she just turned her back to go talk to the kitchen staff. avoidcacao70 on parc and head to the st-catherine locations.
