after checking out some live music, we were looking for a late night dessert spot. i've never been to cacao 70 even though it's blown up recently and expanded all over canada (vancouver and edmonton). this branch is located beside mon ami.

we dropped in on a friday (around 10:30pm) to find it reasonably busy. love how late it's open till. the perfect place to cap off your night or to bring a date. the exposed brick and chic decor fits the ambiance perfectly.

there's a food menu but really, you should be focusing all your attention on the desserts. there's an abundance of options (mostly chocolate oriented) including cakes, fondue, drinks, crepes, ice cream, sweetpizzas and dessert platters. the platters are meant to be shared ($12.50 to $31.95)!

- chocolate envy ($15.50) - quarter of a 12" pizza with chocolate marshmallow, chocolate brownie bites, chocolate wafer, whipped cream and chocolate fondue. my favourite was the pizza. cut a piece, add some ice cream and dip into the fondue. yum!

will need to come back to try their dipped soft serve ice cream. 3.5 stars.

cacao 70 has been one of my favorite restaurants. i love the interior decors and the chocolate! cacao 70 is the chocolate expert and has been a splendid job. i would recommend the pizza and the waffles (see pics) if you havesweettooth. if not, they have other meals that make you drool too! what i like about the store other than the decors and food is that the unique food decorations. i could just stare at the food all day. they are just too pretty to eat! everything i eat, i felt like a criminal for ruining such beautiful arts.   the choc-nut waffle ($13.50) the waffles are very smooth and soft. the vanilla ice cream is a perfect addition. i never thought one can eat waffle with ice cream. again, cacao 70 introduced me to a new discovery. the strawberries aresweetand the bananas are dipped in caramel sauce. what i love is to dip the strawberries in the dark chocolate sauce. i absolutely love how the chocolate slowly slides around the strawberries surface a

what a beautiful place to come and fulfill all yoursweettooth needs! they offer various dishes, and drinks with your suitable taste of chocolate for reasonable prices. by the way, their plates, and portions are huge. the staff is friendly, polite, and offer great service. this place usually gets full after dinner, and there is sometimes a lineup, but it’s much quieter, and less crowded during the day. love their décor, and they offer free wi-fi, a plus! overall, it’s a great place to bring a date or catch up with a friend. their crepes, waffles, and drinks are highly recommended!

definitely my favorite spot for dessert in town, though i not a big fan of desserts. their dishes are quite creative. i ordered the waffle covered with two scoops of double colored fudge and whipped cream. the dish also includes one cup of chocolate beards and one cup of liquid chocolate. everything except the waffle is sosweetthat it almost hurts my teeth as you know i'm a bit afraid ofsweetstuff, nevertheless it's quite a treat once in a while.

absolutely loved every singlesweetdish: strawberry cheesecake crepe, choco-nut waffle and the volcano brownie. huge servings of delicious chocolate/ cheese goodness - would definitely return for more. wasn't a big fan of the savoury egg crepe which tasted like an asian paratha to us 😅 dark hot chocolate was too bitter for us too but that was on us for making the wrong choice.

i cravesweetthings a lot these days…it really is that time of the month. every time my sugar tooth cries, there is a place i go to soothe it: cacao 70. the dessert shop chain opened its third location not too long ago on milton and parc ave in montreal. ken and i visited there several times these couple of months, so i wanted to share our experiences with you. sampler when we first went, it was actually for lunch, believe it or not. cacao 70 not only sells dessert…they have a full on brunch menu available until 4pm. their portions are huge, just like their desserts, so it is well worth visiting! sampler and water i guess the shop hadn’t been open for too long when we visited, because we were given a sample of their belgian waffle and 2 chocolate drinks (dark and milk). i can never say no to free things, let alone free things that are sweet! when i didn’t know that the chocolate was a drink first, i thought the chocolate in the little cup was for dipping; i didn’t realize it was to drink until ken told me so. oops! aside from the sampler, we were given water (in a cute bottle) and menus. thesweetmenu the brunch & drinks menu

great place for chocolate lovers!. me and my girlfriend went there today. it was amazing! i had the classic american hot chocolate, she had the mexican hot chocolate and we shared the milk chocolate fondue platter. the platter came with fruit, brownies, waffle and of course the milk chocolate fondue to dip everything in. it was all delicious!! the thing i was most impressed with is that their milk chocolate actually tasted like milk chocolate. i hate dark chocolate or any bitter chocolate. this place had milk chocolate that actually tastedsweetand delicious! the american classic hot chocolate came with two big homemade marshmallows. it was great. i definitly recommend this place for chocolate lovers!

ideal place for a date. the food there is great if you enjoy chocolate. the salty options aren't as delicious as thesweetone, but you surely won't leave there with an empty stomach. it can be crowded, but the noise there isn't intrusive and it could be considered a great choice for a date.

so much chocolate. quiet big portions, and many options to chose from. sometimes long lines. deserts taste very good but one time a chicken crepe i ordered wassweetas well. stick with deserts and you'll be happy. they don't like people to sit when they're done if they're not ordering. despite all, very good fondue, very good hot chocolates.

one of my friends got grilled tuna salad sandwich. she liked it but there's nothing special to it. personally, i've always been to cacao 70 for theirsweetitems rather than salty ones.
