dessert heaven. i've tried several things at cacaco 70 before, but my favorite has got to be the dessert pizzas, they have different flavors and options. i had the peanut butter and chocolate one and it melted in my mouth. you can't go wrong with anything on the menu

worst experience ever. i just went to cacao 70 for breakfast. i decided to try out their new location on parc avenue which is closer to my house. i've been to the one in the gay village and thoroughly enjoyed my experience each time but the location on parc avenue sucked soooooooo much!. the bacon was the cheap microwave kind, the sausage was not the breakfast kind and wasn't even cooked well and the ham was also the cheap convenience store kind. the best part of the breakfast was the bread. i didn't even get the chance to say anything to the staff because our server only took our order and that's it. i stood next to her to go pay and she just turned her back to go talk to the kitchen staff. avoid cacao 70 on parc and head to the st-catherine locations.

i crave sweet things a lot these days…it really is that time of the month. every time my sugar tooth cries, there is a place i go to soothe it: cacao 70. the dessert shop chain opened its third location not too long ago on milton and parc ave in montreal. ken and i visited there several times these couple of months, so i wanted to share our experiences with you. sampler when we first went, it was actually for lunch, believe it or not. cacao 70 not only sells dessert…they have a full on brunch menu available until 4pm. their portions are huge, just like their desserts, so it is well worth visiting! sampler and water i guess the shop hadn’t been open for too long when we visited, because we were given a sample of their belgian waffle and 2 chocolate drinks (dark and milk). i can never say no to free things, let alone free things that are sweet! when i didn’t know that the chocolate was a drink first, i thought the chocolate in the little cup was for dipping; i didn’t realize it was to drink until ken told me so. oops! aside from the sampler, we were given water (in a cute bottle) and menus. the sweet menu the brunch & drinks menu

good food for an indulgent spree, but the service is extremely slow and we always get stuck with a waitress who is a foul-faced curmudgeon. try at your own peril.

great place for chocolate lovers!. me and my girlfriend went there today. it was amazing! i had the classic american hot chocolate, she had the mexican hot chocolate and we shared the milk chocolate fondue platter. the platter came with fruit, brownies, waffle and of course the milk chocolate fondue to dip everything in. it was all delicious!! the thing i was most impressed with is that their milk chocolate actually tasted like milk chocolate. i hate dark chocolate or any bitter chocolate. this place had milk chocolate that actually tasted sweet and delicious! the american classic hot chocolate came with two big homemade marshmallows. it was great. i definitly recommend this place for chocolate lovers!

ideal place for a date. the food there is great if you enjoy chocolate. the salty options aren't as delicious as the sweet one, but you surely won't leave there with an empty stomach. it can be crowded, but the noise there isn't intrusive and it could be considered a great choice for a date.

this place is simply amazing!!!. i finally checked out cacao70 the other night and it was so delicious! if you like chocolate, you will absolutely love this place! my friends and i were initially surprised to have to stand in line to get seated, but we soon realized why....this place has simply amazing food for very affordable prices, and every table had beautiful decadent plates in front of them. the line actually moved very quickly and our waiter walked us through their extensive menu, which was great because he really knew what he was talking about and helped us choose absolutely amazing food. cook your own hot melty s'mores? check. dip delicious freshly made waffles and fruit into melted white, milk, and dark chocolate? double check! try different hot chocolates from around the world? yum i died and went to chocolate heaven! not only was the food above and beyond delicious, but there was awesome music playing the whole time, and our waiter made sure we were happy throughout. all in all, i am now one of those cacao70 addicts!!

we got to try a popular chocolate dessert cafe/restaurant called cacao 70. they offered a limited selection of coffee drinks but i wasn't there for the coffee.

not worth it. i've been to this place twice, well, the second time we had to leave the place without getting served since our server seemed like he forgot we existed. he was too busy rearranging the knives and forks at the counter... it was weird. the food is overly priced for what it is, you have to pay minimum $11 for mediocre food.
for me, this place is pretty much a copycat of juliette et chocolat where you get better food for much cheaper prices. there's another strange thing i noticed about this place, the kitchen staffs are 100% chinese and the servers are 100% white, and it seemed like there's almost zero contact between the two groups. i think that it is kind of important to have good communication between the kitchen and servers to create a good atmosphere in the restaurant and this place lacked it completely. i don't think i'll go back there anytime soon.
