yumm. yumm. yummmmm!!!. hubby and i were out for a day in the city, and he had heard about burger heaven from a guy he used to work with, so we gave it a shot.
just before 1pm on a wednesday, and the tiny little restaurant wasn’t full. we were greeted and seated immediately and left with our menus. my only comment at first glance at the menu was that these better be some dam* good burgers for the price!
i ordered the chicken teriyaki mushroom swiss, and hubby ordered the beef motz mushroom. i also had the poutine “add on” to my potato wedges...still unsure about paying so much for burgers.
well, let me tell you! the bowl of poutine was humungous with lots of melty cheese curds. the grilled chicken breast was good sized, two big pieces of bacon, and lots of cheese, and the teriyaki sauce was light enough not to overwhelm, but add just enough zip to the sandwich.
on hubby’s plate, the burger/mushroom/cheese looked amazing, and the potato wedges filled the rest of the plate. the wedges were seasoned really well and fried crisp. perfect!
i took half my poutine home for the kiddo because i was stuffed, and very satisfied. by the time i paid the bill, i had no problem forking over $15 for a grilled chicken and poutine. not at all. we will return!!!!
