awesome sushi!. went to big catch today for the first time after reading rave reviews, and was not disappointed! the sushi was fresh and flavorful and the prices were reasonable for the quality. considering the place was a stand inside the farmer's market, the service was amazing and somebody came out from the stand to serve our food and collect our dishes. no styrofoam here, just beautiful presentation (including vegetables carved into flower shapes, and sauce art) and amazing food. don't miss out on the creme brulee for dessert; it was better than many i've had in france. i'll be coming back for sure. best sushi i've had in alberta, hands down.

wow! what a gem to find in a farmer's market! i am a very very picky sushi fan, and my friends and i regularly search for the "best sushi in town". i only had 1 roll (rodeo rider) and the salmon miso soup, but that's enough for me to say this has to be in the top 3 best places for sushi i've ever been too. i wish i lived in town to try more! oh and as a bonus, the staff are so friendly! great job big catch!

wow what a gem! the sushi is super fresh and tastes amazing! the rolls are well thought out and plated beautifully. the wild sockeye salmon was sweet and so fresh. the staff are incredibly nice and offered so many samples. i wish they were located closer to me!

fresh, really fresh!. my 4 year old and my 1 year old love sushi, however, once they tried it at big catch i can not convince them to eat at any other sushi place. everything here is really fresh, you can feel it from the rice to the fillings! and the presentation amazing, these guys are very dedicated to what they do. i wish them the best of success!

fresh fish and beautiful presentation. my one complaint is that it is only open thursday to sunday. i am a sushi club faithful and this place is a very close second.

you know what they say, "happiness comes in small packages." this hidden gem in calgary has got it all, from service to quality and the perfected details of each piece.

definitely a fusion of modern and authentic, the pieces aim to please the eyes and tickle your taste buds with each bite.

coming from japan, i'm always looking for something fresh and close to home. surprisingly, calgary is infested by restaurants that have mutilated the true meaning of sushi - aka the freshness - and thrown rolls into batter and deepfried it. not at big catch, though, the fish were so fresh and plump and i enjoyed every bite.

i recommend you get a bite from here to call yourself a true calgarian because big catch will soon represent the japanese restaurants in this city.

one of the best places i've been to for sushi. the ingredients are fresh, the presentation is very nice, and it's fun to watch them make the sushi. this place needs to become a restaurant!!

a great catch. very fresh, fantastic flavours and engaging service; we loved the big catch combo. will definitely return to try the rest of the menu.
next: tried the spicy catch, the god of wind and the seaweed salad. again, fantastic. thanks.
april 19, 2013 - still the freshest anywhere in town. we thoroughly enjoyed the chirashi special order. the saba included was perhaps the best we'd ever tasted.

beautiful designs. i ordered 2 special rolls from here and the presentation and the taste of the food was fantastic. i loved the flower shaped carrots that they added to one of them! it's a small place, but definitely worth the visit. definitely going back to try more sushi from here.
