the sushi were super fresh and delicious. although the spicy tuna roll was not spicy at all. and the dynamite roll tasted average, nothing spectacular. but their specialty rolls were so yummy! and california...omg, so tender and full of flavour! we had dinner for three for 2 adults and 1 kiddo and felt like 1 more roll would be nice to have in this combo.

yep - it's expensive here, but you'll know why once you take your sushi home and take a bite.  oh my goodness.  it is out of this world good in a farmer's market stall.  are you kidding me?!  the toro (tuna) sashimi was so good.  the green halo, rodeo rider, and zesty avalanche were really good too.  they were nice and small, perfectly bite sized, but packed with flavours.  i spent about $40 - $50 on that takeout and i wasn't super full but felt really satisfied.  i had enough room to go for dessert or bubble tea.  i'd say that was the closest thing to vancouver sushi i can find in alberta!  i loved it!  will be back the next time i chill in calgary :)

great sushi that is fresh, well presented and affordable. i wish they were open all week long. i usually call ahead and pack our costco cooler with ice packs to put the tray of sushi on our way home. their rolls do not have too much rice. i'm addicted to their avocado rolls and love their sashimi. service is always with a smile.

absolutely delicious!!!! everything is fresh and presented so beautifully. super tasty and friendly service. will definitely come back.. just hoping they would have better stores times.

absolutely delicious sushi from big catch. the salmon and tuna had great flavor and texture. one notable thing is the perfect sushi rice. firm but light and super tasty. they have a small menu which we hope to try all of soon.

friendly and accommodating staff. excellent fish. rolls great, everything great. if i'm craving the freshest tuna in the city i'm going to big catch. love it here.

two of my favourite things- farmer's market and sushi! though an unusual combination, everything about big catch is out of the ordinary, to the extent that you might even feel like you are at a restaurant rather than a just a food stand. you must eat here! upon ordering, we were given a buzzer to alert us when it is ready- nice touch as you can take a seat or browse the market. once buzzed, we received a tray with the rolls, and all the utensils needed to enjoy our eats. it was beautifully presented with a lovely carrot and radish flower. since we only had two rolls, which were to our liking, i would want to sample more of the menu before posting a review of the overall dining experience. i will return! updates to follow...

omg this place is amazing! top notch! great food i think better than what you find in a lot of places that are full restaurants. the guys here are so super nice too! this is definitely going to be a place to go to even though i live in the nw.

the guys that run this place are the nicest and most friendly guys. i really respect the care they put into running their business. they consistently pump out very high quality fresh food.  i've been here probably 30 times and i've never not enjoyed my food. they are really nice to mom who goes a lot more often then i do and that kind of thing really means a lot to me.  they are always adding new menu items and usually have interesting features.

sushi was super fresh, delicious and reasonably priced and the service was quick and friendly! you can just tell how much care they put into their work by the quality of the food and the amount of detail that goes into the plating. definitely one of my favourite spots in calgary for sushi.

our favourite place in calgary for sushi at reasonable prices. we go here a lot and haven't been disappointed yet. fresh ingredients and good service. we'd love to see these guys open a restaurant!

wow this little place, basically a stand at a food market has something that many fancy upscale places cannot buy - passion for great food. their sushi is fresh, beautiful, clean and exciting. just visiting calgary, but won't pass through here without stopping at big catch if i could help it! oh, did i mention friendly, efficient and fast. thanks for great food.

the staff were very nice, and the food was great. man oh man, the presentation was absolutely beautiful it's crazy. i expected that type of presentation and taste from a sushi restaurant that costed twice as much. the live music was a great added touch as well.

i have come here every thursday for the past year, and it's the most delicious sushi in yyc. big catch never fails to impress me — from the friendly customer service to the beautiful dragon roll presentation. yum!

big catch sushi is definitely the best sushi restaurant that i have found in calgary. we had a platter of rolls and sashimi. both were the best quality that i have found in town. i can't wait to go back and try some of their other offerings. the staff were among the friendliest and most helpful that i have encountered. all in the quirkiest little market; all part of the entertainment. probably the only thing that would improve this sushi experience would be to have these guys in their own proper restaurant where they can control more of the environment.
