bellevue - the oberoi amarvilas

one of the worst oberoi’s i have been to! hardly had 10 things on the lunch menu.. i had asked for a tomato base risotto but they chose to give me a white base one. nothing great about this oneplacecompared to the other amazing properties of oberoi’s. not going back ever and not advising anyone to ever go to..

bestplaceto find inner peace. needs no improvement. had a cup of coffee and couple of cookies they were good but most importantly the location and the view were breathtaking.

walking in.. appreciate the beauty of the place. decorations are fab. food is extra ordinarily great. quality is amazing. their dresses..which make you feel like king. their cutlery which gives you a royal feeling. service..which is simply the best. food..not even a single thing that you eat you won't like. theplacegives you a larger than life feel.

one of the finest restaurant in the country ,the food is amazing in presentation, taste, richness and serving is pretty great too. the chef really knows how to play with spices well, coz it’s a treat in every bite. theplacehas a grandiose feel with its wooden rustic decor, prompt and courteous service of the staff. the oberoi group never fails to amaze me and they fulfilled my expectations this time too.

the oberoi amarvilas is by far the most luxuriousplaceto stay in agra and its strategic location with unobstructed view of the taj mahal makes it all the more desirable. 

location & ambience – bellevue is a multi-cuisine restaurant located down the lobby near the poolside. while the restaurant feels like any other high-end restaurant, it’s poolside and view of the taj is mesmerizing.

food & service – vegetarians might not find the menu elaborate enough, the food and service was as expected. nothing great nor any complaints.

value for money – it is not theplaceto be for food but for the experience and if you are in agra already, you could try it once.

best luxurious dinning restaurant in agra you could find and what aplaceto locate a hotel with a royal feeling the i had roghanjosh and butter garlic naan what a great lamb tender and juicy.....

it’s one of the bestplaceto stay near taj mahal the icon the 7 wonders of the world which is in agra as for the food it wasn’t exceptional as theplaceand the ambience is just magnificent and alluring worth the visit but the food it’s just above par !!! overall greatplaceto take in visually and see the taj while having a drink or tea !!!

had been to thisplacewith a couple of friends. though the hype about thisplaceis more so for its taj mahal view. as per what i perceive and experienced. the food though was really disappointing. first of all very few veg options in the mains. we ordered for dahi ke kababs as recommended by the staff. the were pathetic. so we chose to go on with the basics.
dal- which turned out to be the only good part of the night
jeera rice - looked like pulav. i like the dishes to look how they are suppose to be.

go for the taj mahal view. its worth it.

when you hear the name oberoi- amar vilas you think of sheer luxury & hospitality at its best. this is what you expect with their restaurant as well. it surely lives up to its name when its comes to luxury & hospitality but the food doesnt really live up to the expectations. the jeera rice which we ordered turned out to be a veg pulav with some jeera & the dhai kabab didnt really tingle my taste buds. full marks to the lobster soup; it was simply outstanding. all in all a goodplacefor a quiet family dinner.

this review has been pending for many years now. went to see the taj and on the way back, stopped here for lunch. the food is quite overpriced but is very good.

food
chicken tikka masala curry was succulent. gravy had a nice balance of spices. the complementary green peas curry and dal were too tasty. papad were fresh and crispy. my friend had chicken lasagne and was all praise for it.
the complementary sides which included the green peas curry, dal and papad made our order a complete meal.

ambience
great ambience. it's spacious. the window seats have a nice view. 

service
the staff is courteous. they have knowledge about what's on the menu and are capable of providing suggestions. 
regarding my visit, at first they got my order of chicken tikka masala curry confused by the starter chicken tikka. upon explaining it to them, they were quick to acknowledge the mistake and even offered the starter chicken tikka complementary. i had to put down their offer as i could only eat one dish as per my appetite.


second visit:
the photos are from my second visit to this place. the service at the hotel was absolutely amazing. they were so respectful and took great care of us despite we being late for lunch. they seated us at a niceplacewhile our table was being set up.

the food itself was good. we had a chicken curry, breads and biryani. the biryani was quite tasty and aromatic.

we had been looking forward to visiting thisplacefrom a long time. so finally today we came to agra and visited this hotel. the architecture is fascinating and very royal. the view of taj mahal from the balcony is the best thing ever.
more than that my friend got sick as soon as we reached. she had severe food poisoning and the food which we ordered had to be cancelled at the end moment. they were ao understanding and more than helpful. the manager ms shruti nambar was very couourseous , she came to us and asked twice how we were feeling. they got us electrol and a lichi juice . didnt even charge us for the soup we ordered . and also the order which we placed was cancelled without any argument. they packed sandwiches for us in the least amount of time.and some fruits which was a very warm gesture.
thankyou so much amarvailas for your hospitality and your care in such circumstances. we will surely come again and enjoy a hearty meal at your hotel..
