bellevue - the oberoi amarvilas

one of the worst oberoi’s i have been to! hardly had 10 things on the lunch menu.. i had asked for a tomato base risotto but they chose to give me a white base one. nothinggreatabout this one place compared to the other amazing properties of oberoi’s. not going back ever and not advising anyone to ever go to..

i went here a few days back and i must say the 6 course meal was mind blowing. from the taste to the presentation of the dishes everything was up to the mark. the hotel is a treat to the eye and the staff here is so kind and knowledgable. it was agreatexperience

one of the finest restaurant in the country ,the food is amazing in presentation, taste, richness and serving is prettygreattoo. the chef really knows how to play with spices well, coz it’s a treat in every bite. the place has a grandiose feel with its wooden rustic decor, prompt and courteous service of the staff. the oberoi group never fails to amaze me and they fulfilled my expectations this time too.

the oberoi amarvilas is by far the most luxurious place to stay in agra and its strategic location with unobstructed view of the taj mahal makes it all the more desirable. 

location & ambience – bellevue is a multi-cuisine restaurant located down the lobby near the poolside. while the restaurant feels like any other high-end restaurant, it’s poolside and view of the taj is mesmerizing.

food & service – vegetarians might not find the menu elaborate enough, the food and service was as expected. nothinggreatnor any complaints.

value for money – it is not the place to be for food but for the experience and if you are in agra already, you could try it once.

best luxurious dinning restaurant in agra you could find and what a place to locate a hotel with a royal feeling the i had roghanjosh and butter garlic naan what agreatlamb tender and juicy.....

it’s one of the best place to stay near taj mahal the icon the 7 wonders of the world which is in agra as for the food it wasn’t exceptional as the place and the ambience is just magnificent and alluring worth the visit but the food it’s just above par !!! overallgreatplace to take in visually and see the taj while having a drink or tea !!!

the food is delicious and the quantity is a lot! so plz think twice before ordering. the cherry on the cake wld be an outdoor seating arrangement.

this review has been pending for many years now. went to see the taj and on the way back, stopped here for lunch. the food is quite overpriced but is very good.

food
chicken tikka masala curry was succulent. gravy had a nice balance of spices. the complementary green peas curry and dal were too tasty. papad were fresh and crispy. my friend had chicken lasagne and was all praise for it.
the complementary sides which included the green peas curry, dal and papad made our order a complete meal.

ambience
great ambience. it's spacious. the window seats have a nice view. 

service
the staff is courteous. they have knowledge about what's on the menu and are capable of providing suggestions. 
regarding my visit, at first they got my order of chicken tikka masala curry confused by the starter chicken tikka. upon explaining it to them, they were quick to acknowledge the mistake and even offered the starter chicken tikka complementary. i had to put down their offer as i could only eat one dish as per my appetite.


second visit:
the photos are from my second visit to this place. the service at the hotel was absolutely amazing. they were so respectful and tookgreatcare of us despite we being late for lunch. they seated us at a nice place while our table was being set up.

the food itself was good. we had a chicken curry, breads and biryani. the biryani was quite tasty and aromatic.

ambience - 5/5 (one of the most beautiful hotel i've been to)
service - 2/5 (i ordered 2 fire on the ice mocktails as the first order, which were delivered after 3 request during main course...)
food - 3.5/5 (taste is good though not value for money)
options - main-course 4/5 (you won't have too many options but slightly better than average options in 5*...)
starters - 2/5 (after waiting for 20 minutes, our guests opted main course and in between mere 1 veg and 1 non veg starter was served)

worth a visit - yes if value for money is not critical for you (for above average food ingreatambience)
i'm hopeful seeing other comments that it might have been a bad day for us to have faced below average service which likely is good otherwise.

had a few meals apart from breakfast here when we stayed at the oberoi amarvilas. this is their all day fine-dine restaurant and has a combination of indian and continental cuisines. the ambience here is classy, and the views of the hotel lawn from one side are nice.

the wait staff and servers are really attentive to your needs and wants, and are happy to make suggestions. they serve fresh bread while you wait on your food, which is good. wife and i gorged on their salads and pastas during our few visits here and we were never disappointed.

their insalate caprese, basically a mozzarella and tomato salad is superb. i have never had a better ricotta and spinach ravioli. spaghettis and risottos are nice as well. they serve a different lunch and dinner menu with a few common items, but we enjoyed what we had ordered. 

since this restaurant caters to international clientele, the only small changes i would do is add some pan - asian cuisine to their menu as the other restaurant - esphahan serves authentic indian food while this serves a more international cuisine, so some asian dishes would be agreataddition to the menu. apart from that the restaurant is perfect and we had enjoy dining here again. it is pricey, but thats luxury dining for you.

i wish, if i could have rated them 6 out of 5. terrific..... extra ordinary..... marvellous.....

they are a bunch of very courteous & dedicated people who like to delight you....

if i remember the name, i was looked after by dhruv....

menu options for vegetarians are very limited but it's chef is more than happy to prepare anything what we crave to have....

ambience is too good....

food was awesome but their service was extra ordinary....

food is pricey but worth the money....

food presentation is awesome....

people were continuously alert for your needs....

it was our anniversary & they surprised us in an amazing manner.... see offering a cake is agreatgesture but standing there & waiting the cake to be cut & join the celebration is an awesome gesture....

we were over whelmed.....

this is probably the worst oberoi restaurant i've been to! we hadgreatdrinks at the bar above so we assumed the food at bellevue would be decent. the whole time are waitress gave us annoyed stares. the food took more than an hour to come and was terribly bland. my friends got the chicken and mushroom bake which tasted like knorr two minute soup. i got the tandoori chicken which i asked to be cooked with less oil but instead came drizzled with oil. definitely not palatable. up your game oberoi!

it's the little things of make one feel special that make a placegreatfrom good ... a welcome back cake was one of them.

we had breakfast here and ordered the waffles, sosa, mushroom omelet and lots more ... with 6 of us spending almost 2 hrs just chilling...greattime !!!
