bellevue - the oberoi amarvilas

my diningexperienceat bellevue has a story to it. so my maid of honor and i left from delhi on the pretext of spending the day together for my bachelorette. she set up the whole thing and we ended up in amarvilas, agra ! we were welcomed in a lovely way at bellevue and i received a bouquet of flowers with a congratulatory note for getting married soon! we  ordered our food and whilst we waited our server was kind enough to serve us some chaat appetizers on the house. we ordered a pasta dish and a risotto. both were really authentic and good. i must mention that our asparagus risotto was simply amazing. we requested the chef to prepare this as per our requirement and they were very accommodative to make our diningexperiencelovely!. 
since it was a bachelorette celebration, the restaurant arranged for a chocolate cake for us with a sweet message.


also to add, overlooking the taj mahal whilst sitting in an uber luxurious setup makes this diningexperiencea special one and one of a kind ! it gives you a royal feel that a palace has to offer!

chicken curry ws so soft tht it jst melts in my mouth so easily that it ws difficult to say whether i hd chiken or nt...
recota & spinach revioli pasta wll be one of my fav.dish whch i will remember in coming days...
the great attraction ws the view of taj jst besides the window seat whch makes our food mch more enjoyable...
having spent an great tym .i literally come out with the smile fr such an wonderful experience..

the hotel is no doubt outstanding but theexperiencein the restaurant was really disappointing. the no of cost bakery items that were served before the main course was of inferior quality and the same was conveyed to the staff and chef and what came as a surprise was a simple sorry. the green thai curry with jasmine rice was no exception either. never wanted to highlight it here but it is also a forum to shared what we have actually experienced. the brand name itself catches us many to explore but i was little downhearted .

the oberoi amarvilas is by far the most luxurious place to stay in agra and its strategic location with unobstructed view of the taj mahal makes it all the more desirable. 

location & ambience – bellevue is a multi-cuisine restaurant located down the lobby near the poolside. while the restaurant feels like any other high-end restaurant, it’s poolside and view of the taj is mesmerizing.

food & service – vegetarians might not find the menu elaborate enough, the food and service was as expected. nothing great nor any complaints.

value for money – it is not the place to be for food but for theexperienceand if you are in agra already, you could try it once.

wonderdul staff awesome food and ambience..a true 5 starexperience..tikkas,butter chicken and mutton rogan josh were awesome..if you want to eat something that is not in the menu they can get it prepared for you.

never experienced such great service having travelled all ard the world. special thanks to harshit and prakhar for making ourexperienceunforgettable!!
the food is delicious and the quantity is a lot! so plz think twice before ordering. the cherry on the cake wld be an outdoor seating arrangement.

the ambience and locales is amazingly good..the service too is very good..
i had veg buffet..apart from the dessert, theexperienceoverall was below par..

the main course spread was v less..lesser restaraunts have double the variety.. there were no starters..

for non vegetarians though, the spread looked very good..however based on what i ate or based on what was on offer, i will not rate this highly...

imagine soaking in the beauty of one of the world’s most beautiful monuments as you are dinning. theexperienceis indescribable……. the oberoi amarvilas resort is located 600 meters away from the taj mahal. it is one of the most beautiful hotels i have ever been to. here you are truly treated like royalty……..and why not?  the air here is so thick with the magnificent history of india’s past.

everything at amarvilas is done just right. from the incense infused hallways, to the immaculate service, to the breathtaking view and fabulous ambiance – it all makes for a perfect experience. it is just one of those places that takes your breath away.

the only disappointment was the food. i think that the menu and the way they flavor their food here is perfectly suited to the foreign palate which is the bulk of their clientele. however, for me their food falls short. it’s just not indian enough!

everything about their food is too too mild – it doesn’t make any statements….but i guess with environs like this…..they really don’t need to.

to live like royalty does cost a pretty penny….the prices at amarvilas are rather exorbitant.

however, i think – if you can afford it, then toexperiencethe taj mahal the amarvilas way – is so worth it!

5 stars are not enough to rate this place. we were so happily attended by ms richa.. i think we owe the whole wonderfulexperienceto her. tastiest dishes ever. food was much better than udaivilas. service was flawless. really enjoyed.

konkan fried fish n murg makhni is a must try. also special mention of their butter naan.... different n super tasty. we also like jeera aloo n dal makhni.
