great steaks! great service! great atmosphere!definitely worth a try. at first i thought the locals were just joking on how good thisplaceis but after trying it i'm convinced. worth the money.

wife and i shared the prime rib. very tasty and tender. fantastic! thisplacewas a good value as well. fast and courteous wait staff. i will return next i am in abilene.

best steak from california to abilene tx. if you want grocery steak with the taste and price go somewhere else. a 14oz "true" filet mignon is unheard of, but they sell or pretty much "give it away" here. thisplaceserves it aged and at a unheard price of a flank steak. add that with a classy setting, great drinks like a long island ice tea in a mason jar
(filled with adult liquor) and giant appetizers, plus the legendary "beehive salad", nothing can ruin your night. i have and will continue to come here for
my anniversary and when relatives come to west texas. if there is anything i will miss about abilene, it will be the beehive restaurant & mr. esfandiary

texas tea. thisplacehas killer chicken fried steak and the most potent long island iced tea you'll ever order, served up in a large mason jar. it's worth the trip and expense if only for those two things. the bar has a great vibe but the restaurant itself lacks that vibe. it almost feels a little mobile. but the food and drinks make up for it.

overrated. we were greeted and sat promptly as we walked in. the first thing i noticed were the chairs and how uncomfortable they were. our drinks were served and huge mason jars and i really liked that. i ordered the oscar, as well as my husband did. it's a fillet wrapped in bacon topped with crab and sauce. everything was good except the crab on it, they should delete that part of it but keep the bacon and sauce. the choice of sides are extremely limited to baked potato or fries and soup or salad. the baked potato was nothing special, and are so cheap...so why were they charging so much per plate? my husband and i both got salads, i ordered the cesar and he ordered the beehive salad. my husband said his was okay but nothing compare to perini's salad. my cesar salad was the worst i've ever had. we will not be giving thisplacea second chance unless some things change and are given a gift card. lol. my advice, do not waste your money or time on this place.

have always loved thisplaceand picked it for my birthday dinner tonight (11-10-2012). never had an issue until tonight. all the fried food was over cooked and fries served cold. after waiting for so long to get the food most of the kids ate their burnt chicken because we had apparently starved them per their opinion. one of my favorite places in abilene to eat and hope tonight was just a bad night for the kitchen. food was eventually comped but not without some discussion. hope the next trip is as good as all my previous.

great staff. love the staff, the food is not bad either. greatplaceto take grandma! nice, quiet, and very traditionally good.

great steak the originalplacein albany is a bit better but still very good

ok...my wife and daughter went to the beehive last weekend. normally, i love everything about this place. i got the "signature" salad. it was mushy like someone had mixed the dressing with the lettuce and stuck it in the refrigerator pre mixed. it was after 8:30 pm so i might have to give them a break,

best steakhouse in abilene. excellent service and food. i've been here 3 times since moving to abilene from plano, tx. the steaks i had were excellent, every time. matter of fact, better than the last steaks i had at ruth's chris in dallas. the manager came personally to the table to check on our steaks. sorry, but great steak costs real money. thisplaceis a gem and the food isn't over priced for what you get. heck, even the wine is a decent price. not to mention at least thisplacehas air conditioning in the summer unlike theplacein buffalo gap. go to one of the chop houses in dallas to get something to compare to as far as the food quality, but you will pay $40 for the meat alone, $8 for the salad, $10 for the potato. seriously.
