beehive steakhouse

my wife and i read the reviews for the past 6 years and only the recent 2 years has the beehive had good reviews. ilovefood, specially good food. we have had one on the best steaks in the area compared to the top contenders. the filet migon and ribeye were superb and cooked to perfection. the owner stopped by and gave me a personal tour of the kitchen. the staff service ( victor ) was excellent. i can't say enough about it. i will return anytime i get a chance to spoil my wife. lovethis place. very nice.👍🏻

burgers, steaks, seafood, mixed drinks, salads, bread, etc. they serve it and they serve it great.lovethe ribeye with a long island ice tea (real)

i'm a regular. this is my son's favorite restaurant, so anytime we need to celebrate something--birthday, uil performance, etc.--we come to the beehive. and i've never had a bad meal here. the steak is consistently better than perini's steaks, and copper creek's steaks don't come close to the beehive's. and i love, love,lovetheir seafood dishes. the specials are consistently good, also.

great staff.lovethe staff, the food is not bad either. great place to take grandma! nice, quiet, and very traditionally good.

great for lunch. i like the beehive overall. the lunch specials are great and the burger and chicken sand is really good. it's not my favorite steak in town but iloveordering lamb and other specials. soups are always good too. the cons: hours are very limited and they only have one phone line i think. sometimes it is hard to even make a reservation. also wish they would give refills on all drinks.

ok...my wife and daughter went to the beehive last weekend. normally, iloveeverything about this place. i got the "signature" salad. it was mushy like someone had mixed the dressing with the lettuce and stuck it in the refrigerator pre mixed. it was after 8:30 pm so i might have to give them a break,

best steakhouse in abilene. excellent service and food. i've been here 3 times since moving to abilene from plano, tx. the steaks i had were excellent, every time. matter of fact, better than the last steaks i had at ruth's chris in dallas. the manager came personally to the table to check on our steaks. sorry, but great steak costs real money. this place is a gem and the food isn't over priced for what you get. heck, even the wine is a decent price. not to mention at least this place has air conditioning in the summer unlike the place in buffalo gap. go to one of the chop houses in dallas to get something to compare to as far as the food quality, but you will pay $40 for the meat alone, $8 for the salad, $10 for the potato. seriously.

delicious and perfectly seasoned steaks cooked right. their fried zucchini appetizer was awesome! alsolovethat their drinks are served in mason jars. great food and atmosphere! highly recommend!
