greatrestaurantgreat buffet and an awesome service. the ouzi with baby lamb was definitely the highlight. great variety of food and appetizers and lets not forget the great desserts and fruits to end it all. pricey but i guess that's what u get when u wanna dine in burj al arab

sometimes you just enjoy the place, the company and the atmosphere rather than the food itself; this was the case in al iwanrestaurantyesterday. some friends were visiting uae and they were guests in burj al arab and they invited us for dinner.
the hospitality of the staff is remarkably extraordinary, they were treating everyone as if there were no other guests in the place.
i liked the food, yes, but i would've expected more varieties in such a place. i had seafood, shells, and salad.
the atmosphere was cosy and quiet, new experience in dubai for me.
i enjoyed my time with friends and enjoyed the food as well as the service.

the service. the hospitality. the ambience. the location. the experience. all top notch. 5 stars. but cant say the same for the food taste quality and variety. arabicrestaurantbut nothing arabic about it. the price is absolutely a rip off if you are considering only the food. stop over at the mcdonalds outside for a refuel

hospitable staff from the cooks , waiters ,restaurantreception, however the food quality does not suit burj al arab at all , the kousa laban rice was not cooked but to be fair the cook offered to cook another fast dish with laban. the labels were mixed up between the hot mezza plates for cheese rolls , kebbeh, spinach and meat so we picked up wrong choices . extra choices needs to be presented for sweets . it was kids birthday but this was mistaken with my birthday which is still in september although i mentioned it while booking that it’s kids birthday :) one small gateaux piece for 4 people looked funny on the table but also to be fair the waiter had a lovely voice singing the birthday song and presented a lovely rose.

just to describe in 1 word - highly disappointed

so after a big disappointment from arestaurantat a place also known as 8th wonder of the world, i decide to write my first review on zomato.. after recommendation from a friend and going by zomato reviews and rating, i planned to celebrate a very special evening at al iwan, reservation done, husband's pic given (as they mention in confirmation email - pic can be provided so the guest will be greeted at the entrance), special comments mentioned that its my husband's birthday which r are able to celebrate together after about 5yrs so request to provide the best possible table with best possible arrangements..

we arrived at therestaurantand here the disappointment starts - first, sending pic was of no use, second, there wasn't any sort of special decor on the table (which i expected to be atleast a few petal of roses), the table provided was rather so secluded that even the waiters couldn't see us when we needed them, the view on the table was of a lobby (which actually gave a feeling like we were sitting in a lobby cafe/restaurant - a table close to the window or anywhere in quite and a more romantic ambience rather than a lobby view and noise would have been appreciated) , sitting was really uncomfortable with the semi circle kind of sofa.

after that next was the arabic bread, labneh and salad served at our table, with this high standard ofrestaurantone can never expect a not so hot arabic bread platter and a bowl of salad with really poor presentation - a few long sliced cucumber and capsicums...then the food buffet, buffet spread out nicely with quite a few options but the food was already cold - chef was there to explain us all the dishes but to our disappointment, from bbq to lamb ozi, everything was cold as if they were about to close the restaurant...

a complimentary cake was given for my husband and a rose for me....thankyou for that

however, the only reason to give 2 points is the friendly staff, the waiter (noor) and the lady on reception to whom i also mentioned that it was quite a disappointment specially in regards to the sitting provided.

i chose al iwan thinking arestaurantat the best location would never go rong on anything and make this very special evening even more special for us.......but i guess my choice was completely wrong...there was not even one single special gesture which could make it different from any other restaurant

went there with the family for dinner as we have been in the uae for so long yet have never been to the famous burj al arab. the hotel was nothing special.

therestauranthad a lovely ambience. the waiters were all so friendly and offered quick service. the food was ok, but nothing that wowed us. fattoush, being the only green salad, had no bread, taboule was also unavailable. kibbe was delicious though. the mix grilled meats weren’t good; meat quality seemed bad. but the qouzi lamb was very good quality and was very tender; it just melted in our mouths. extremely overly priced water and soft drinks.

total rating of 5/10. can use some improvement seeing that it is arestaurantin a 7 star hotel.

excellent arabic food at the burj al arab, therestaurantmakes homemade tasty recipes that cannot be compared to any other. the staff certainly know how to make you feel special 👌

went here for an iftar on june 10th. nothing so fancy for a 7star hotel. food was very average or even below. the spread was very less. a normalrestaurantmight have a larger spread for iftar. choice of desserts displayed was no where close to a 7 star experience and so was the food spread. it was really so small that it would end before it started. the only good thing was the service but apart from that everything was really below average. didnt enjoy the experience as i went with lot of expectations !

my hus booked a table here for my bday lunch...the decoration of table was lovely as long as complimentary chocolate cake and roses on table.. therestaurantwas almost empty ( i am clueless about the reason as it was friday lunch), but the foods were yummy and widespread..seafood was my fav as it was so fresh and tasty..salads were well flavored and desserts were delicious..its a luxurious spot so be ready to pay for the 5star service..

experience a true middle eastern journey and the most exquisite arabic cuisine in al iwan, located in one of the world’s tallest atrium followed by shisha with inspiring surroundings of burj al arab terrace.

having been to thisrestaurantlast week, i was amazed by the beautiful surroundings and the amazing service. the food was flavoursome and mouthwatering, especially their range of mains and traditional desserts. the waiters were particularly accommodating and took extra care of our 4 year old who went with us, offering her child friendly options, which we truly appreciated.

experience all this for:
lunch - serving from 12.00 to 15.30- aed 375 per person
dinner - serving from 18.00 to 00.00 - aed 395 per person

and i would definitely recommend the shisha at scape lounge after, especially now that the weather has really cooled down :)

this is one of the bestrestauranti've visit so far in terms of the place which is located at the iconic burj al arab, i really loved the place, great ambience and very welcoming staff. food is purely arabic. many options to choose from main course to dessert in the buffet section. i had a great experience in thisrestauranton which the staff will treat you like a vip.

except for ambience and good service, thd visit was a total disappointment.

at such exorbitant price, it seems we are worthwile paying only for ambience and not food.

soft drinks for my 5 yrs old daughter was charged in the buffet while they were free us!!! any logic? and that too it was not informed on arrival or on web site.

seems its therestaurantpolicy to grab whatever comes to hands rather than holding to clientage.

nice and cosy ambience thats a stark contrast to the granduer of the lobby and atrium of this iconic hotel.
loved the one to one service. the staff and their service is really worth mentioning. the buffet is also just right, not too over the top interms of the number of dishes, but just right. i expected a bit more varieties at the dessert corner but thats just me.
you habe got to try their harees and veil curry.
