great restaurant great buffet and an awesome service. the ouzi with baby lamb was definitely the highlight. great variety offoodand appetizers and lets not forget the great desserts and fruits to end it all. pricey but i guess that's what u get when u wanna dine in burj al arab

sometimes you just enjoy the place, the company and the atmosphere rather than thefooditself; this was the case in al iwan restaurant yesterday. some friends were visiting uae and they were guests in burj al arab and they invited us for dinner.
the hospitality of the staff is remarkably extraordinary, they were treating everyone as if there were no other guests in the place.
i liked the food, yes, but i would've expected more varieties in such a place. i had seafood, shells, and salad.
the atmosphere was cosy and quiet, new experience in dubai for me.
i enjoyed my time with friends and enjoyed thefoodas well as the service.

the service. the hospitality. the ambience. the location. the experience. all top notch. 5 stars. but cant say the same for thefoodtaste quality and variety. arabic restaurant but nothing arabic about it. the price is absolutely a rip off if you are considering only the food. stop over at the mcdonalds outside for a refuel

the service was great , thefoodwas perfectly served , great ambience, however thefoodwas ok nothing to add nothing to hide. definately a positive experience

hospitable staff from the cooks , waiters , restaurant reception, however thefoodquality does not suit burj al arab at all , the kousa laban rice was not cooked but to be fair the cook offered to cook another fast dish with laban. the labels were mixed up between the hot mezza plates for cheese rolls , kebbeh, spinach and meat so we picked up wrong choices . extra choices needs to be presented for sweets . it was kids birthday but this was mistaken with my birthday which is still in september although i mentioned it while booking that it’s kids birthday :) one small gateaux piece for 4 people looked funny on the table but also to be fair the waiter had a lovely voice singing the birthday song and presented a lovely rose.

this place may be in burj al arab, but you would perhaps get better service in a karama cafeteria. i visited with family for iftar, place was too busy, staff weren’t around to help.foodwas alright, live music was average and requests to the staff often went on deaf ears. all and all, not worth the venue not the price. speaking of the price, we were billed incorrectly and still awaiting our refunds.

i had booked this place for my wifés birthday and everything went pretty well as we planned. the service,foodand ambience will definitely fullfil your expectations of a luxurious fine dining hotel. loved their gesture of providing an amazing multi layer chocolate cake.

just to describe in 1 word - highly disappointed

so after a big disappointment from a restaurant at a place also known as 8th wonder of the world, i decide to write my first review on zomato.. after recommendation from a friend and going by zomato reviews and rating, i planned to celebrate a very special evening at al iwan, reservation done, husband's pic given (as they mention in confirmation email - pic can be provided so the guest will be greeted at the entrance), special comments mentioned that its my husband's birthday which r are able to celebrate together after about 5yrs so request to provide the best possible table with best possible arrangements..

we arrived at the restaurant and here the disappointment starts - first, sending pic was of no use, second, there wasn't any sort of special decor on the table (which i expected to be atleast a few petal of roses), the table provided was rather so secluded that even the waiters couldn't see us when we needed them, the view on the table was of a lobby (which actually gave a feeling like we were sitting in a lobby cafe/restaurant - a table close to the window or anywhere in quite and a more romantic ambience rather than a lobby view and noise would have been appreciated) , sitting was really uncomfortable with the semi circle kind of sofa.

after that next was the arabic bread, labneh and salad served at our table, with this high standard of restaurant one can never expect a not so hot arabic bread platter and a bowl of salad with really poor presentation - a few long sliced cucumber and capsicums...then thefoodbuffet, buffet spread out nicely with quite a few options but thefoodwas already cold - chef was there to explain us all the dishes but to our disappointment, from bbq to lamb ozi, everything was cold as if they were about to close the restaurant...

a complimentary cake was given for my husband and a rose for me....thankyou for that

however, the only reason to give 2 points is the friendly staff, the waiter (noor) and the lady on reception to whom i also mentioned that it was quite a disappointment specially in regards to the sitting provided.

i chose al iwan thinking a restaurant at the best location would never go rong on anything and make this very special evening even more special for us.......but i guess my choice was completely wrong...there was not even one single special gesture which could make it different from any other restaurant

went there with the family for dinner as we have been in the uae for so long yet have never been to the famous burj al arab. the hotel was nothing special.

the restaurant had a lovely ambience. the waiters were all so friendly and offered quick service. thefoodwas ok, but nothing that wowed us. fattoush, being the only green salad, had no bread, taboule was also unavailable. kibbe was delicious though. the mix grilled meats weren’t good; meat quality seemed bad. but the qouzi lamb was very good quality and was very tender; it just melted in our mouths. extremely overly priced water and soft drinks.

total rating of 5/10. can use some improvement seeing that it is a restaurant in a 7 star hotel.

went there last night for my husband's birthday, and i must say it was a royal celebration. staff is most courteous with a vast array of delicious food. my personal favorite was the pomegranate chicken. burj al arab itself is so iconic but the staff made it a unique experience. special mention to our server sheela and welcome staff bema and another lady whose name i've forgotten (she was wearing a head scarf). there's a good variety of dishes with lovely red-gold decor. we had a choice to sit with the ocean view but we had a 2 year old so preferred a bit more secluded area :) they also made complimentaryfoodfor my son which was very appreciated as he happily ate his fries along with his coloring package. staff had also arranged cake for my husband's birthday with a rose for me :) overall a dinner worth to splurge on!

excellent arabicfoodat the burj al arab, the restaurant makes homemade tasty recipes that cannot be compared to any other. the staff certainly know how to make you feel special 👌

being at burj al arab is a luxerious experience all in all. however, the ambience andfoodvariety is something that can't compete anymore with the new places that keep popping up in dubai.foodtaste is very good.

we went for dinner buffet. it was our second time at the iconic burj al arab and first time in this restaurant.
luxury interiors. love the deep red color. lovely ambience.
arabic buffet. no live cooking station.foodwas ok but nothing memorable.
you can use entertainer voucher otherwise the price is too high.
the service was excellent.

my husband took me here for surprise birthday dinner, i was so aww struck, when we were in front of burj al arab and was soo excited to go in and have dinner from here.
interiors are too good. table was set up so nice, the colors on the table, rose and the candles,perfect for a date.
the service was really good too..
coming to thefoodpart.. it was a wide spread arabic buffet.. not that great, it was just okay for the price. they had all kinds of arabic sweets which was good.
overall very good experience, would recommend everyone for the ambience and the experience.

the cost was reasonable as we used entertainer coupon 1+1 free, so we paid only for one person.

disappointing...the choice offoodin the buffet is limited and there is no live cooking station.foodis dry and really worse than average. we expected the service will be at least up to 7 star hotel standard but it turned out not even 5 star: the waiter forgot to offer drinks to one of our guest and there was nobody serving at the hotfoodsession. the price clearly hasn't been reflected in the quality offoodand service, simply overpriced. we don't recommend it to anyone.
