al iwan - burj al arab

sometimes you just enjoy the place, the company and the atmosphere rather than the food itself; this was the case in al iwan restaurant yesterday. some friends were visiting uae and they were guests in burj alaraband they invited us for dinner.
the hospitality of the staff is remarkably extraordinary, they were treating everyone as if there were no other guests in the place.
i liked the food, yes, but i would've expected more varieties in such a place. i had seafood, shells, and salad.
the atmosphere was cosy and quiet, new experience in dubai for me.
i enjoyed my time with friends and enjoyed the food as well as the service.

hospitable staff from the cooks , waiters , restaurant reception, however the food quality does not suit burj alarabat all , the kousa laban rice was not cooked but to be fair the cook offered to cook another fast dish with laban. the labels were mixed up between the hot mezza plates for cheese rolls , kebbeh, spinach and meat so we picked up wrong choices . extra choices needs to be presented for sweets . it was kids birthday but this was mistaken with my birthday which is still in september although i mentioned it while booking that it’s kids birthday :) one small gateaux piece for 4 people looked funny on the table but also to be fair the waiter had a lovely voice singing the birthday song and presented a lovely rose.

went there last night for my husband's birthday, and i must say it was a royal celebration. staff is most courteous with a vast array of delicious food. my personal favorite was the pomegranate chicken. burj alarabitself is so iconic but the staff made it a unique experience. special mention to our server sheela and welcome staff bema and another lady whose name i've forgotten (she was wearing a head scarf). there's a good variety of dishes with lovely red-gold decor. we had a choice to sit with the ocean view but we had a 2 year old so preferred a bit more secluded area :) they also made complimentary food for my son which was very appreciated as he happily ate his fries along with his coloring package. staff had also arranged cake for my husband's birthday with a rose for me :) overall a dinner worth to splurge on!

incredible level of service is what you get at this place. the staff is the highlight here

being at burj alarabis a luxerious experience all in all. however, the ambience and food variety is something that can't compete anymore with the new places that keep popping up in dubai. food taste is very good.

we went for dinner buffet. it was our second time at the iconic burj alaraband first time in this restaurant.
luxury interiors. love the deep red color. lovely ambience.
arabic buffet. no live cooking station. food was ok but nothing memorable.
you can use entertainer voucher otherwise the price is too high.
the service was excellent.

my husband took me here for surprise birthday dinner, i was so aww struck, when we were in front of burj alaraband was soo excited to go in and have dinner from here.
interiors are too good. table was set up so nice, the colors on the table, rose and the candles,perfect for a date.
the service was really good too..
coming to the food part.. it was a wide spread arabic buffet.. not that great, it was just okay for the price. they had all kinds of arabic sweets which was good.
overall very good experience, would recommend everyone for the ambience and the experience.

the cost was reasonable as we used entertainer coupon 1+1 free, so we paid only for one person.

excellent ambience, great staff but again like most of the 5 stars ( in this case 7 stars) food was below average when it comes to taste. they really need to upgrade that cooking level. work needed. common ur burj alarabrestaurant!?

great ambiance and service, the atmosphere within the burj alarabis amazing and cared for to the littlest detail.

food:
the buffet spread is quite small, you would expect more.
also the quality of the food is good, it is not any better than other arabic restaurants around dubai. the shewarma was delicious but everything else was average.

i would recommend it for the ambiance and service, not really for the food.

having been to this restaurant last week, i was amazed by the beautiful surroundings and the amazing service. the food was flavoursome and mouthwatering, especially their range of mains and traditional desserts. the waiters were particularly accommodating and took extra care of our 4 year old who went with us, offering her child friendly options, which we truly appreciated.

experience all this for:
lunch - serving from 12.00 to 15.30- aed 375 per person
dinner - serving from 18.00 to 00.00 - aed 395 per person

and i would definitely recommend the shisha at scape lounge after, especially now that the weather has really cooled down :)

burj alarabknown for luxury and class being a 7 star hotel houses many restaurants out of which is this arabic , al iwan .
extremely luxurious interiors, comfortable seating which also has a view facing the sea. a very calm and tranquil place.
hospitality went above my expectations. each and every staff were polite , courteous , pleasant and had an eye to detail. we had small kids so their baby sear were laid down very beautifully with the table preset for them. this was very impressive. also, services like one being approached to hang their handbags on the edge of the tables were little element of surprise. they went extra mile to arrange snacks for the kids as per their choice. the food was explained to us (depicts their product knowledge). basically i found not a monotonous service but humans offering hospitality humbly .
the buffet was very presentable , clean and hygienic. 1 chef was constantly near the buffet to help us with the dishes and recommendations.
the food i found wasn't any extra ordinary . have tasted the same at many places. less options for vegetarians , especially main course.
if you choose to visit this place , surely come for the service where they will make you feel like a king and of course the ambience and venue.
a very well done job to this team. certainly under pressure being located inside burj alarabto keep the fame, but still won my heart. hope the food which we pay so much for improves.

so as it we made it this resturant offering buffet on our anniversary...
international buffet with few indian dishes...
an expensive resturant to come for a special occasion...

service is good as they try to make your one time visit a memorable time...
they serve a small anniversary cake to celebrate and arrange the table too which was nice and kind of them...
food is ok...
a one time affair to go to the iconic hotel..
advance booking is mandatory to enter this 7 star hotel...
saw a lot of couples celebrating there so i guess it's more of as a one time visit to feel good on a special occasion...

today i went to al iwan for my birthday it was my first visit to al iwan. the food and the ambience were all not as nice as per the price. they are charging 550 per person and it doesnt even include water or soft drinks which is weird as per the price paid. the food variety was very less as compare to the price even with half of this price you can get better buffet at another 5 star restaurants. poor service and poor birthday celebration. the only thing make this restaurant running is that it is inside the 7 star burj alarabhotel. would not recommend this restaurant at all to food lovers.

i have always been regular to burj alarab, they have always made sure that they provide elite service and the whole ambience thing is simple outstanding , previously i have visited few of their places the food was good but this time i have to admit it this is truly the best restaurant in burj . whether it's the seafood , lebanese or italian it ensures that we have great quality of food . not to forget the desserts of this place is just heaven . i strongly recommend you this place

overall , al iwan restaurant in burj is worth the experience , go 4 it 👍
