gotten better. i revise my prior statements about acenar: it's gotten better, with the menu looking more like rosario's and theservicelevel brought up to expectation.

congrats lisa wong: you're obviously listening to the negatives and turning them around.

lisa and bruce no longer have anything to do with this once great spot. crap food now, served by an always-annoyed wait staff. highly not recommended.

great experience servicewas wonderful. very attentive. food great and very tasteful. surprised margaritas were $9 each. they were good but not quite that good. plenty of food for the price but price is a little high. all in all a very pleasant experience.

had a good experience here. it's been several years since last visit since i avoid riverwalk proper for the most part.servicewas okay but as expected for the riverwalk. food and drink was good. drinks overpriced but again as expected for this part of the riverwalk. would definitely bring out of town guests here for a good time.

didn't live up to the hype.servicewas forgetful and slow. made guac table side then it disappeared for 10 min and reappeared from the kitchen. i did not feel valued.

i tried mushroom crepes (waiter recommendation, surprisingly good, unique flavors), duck crepes (very good), and an a la carte chili relleno (huge and tasty). would do these three again. flavors are subtle, rich, and unique - which is what i like. ... i also got the chicken chipotle (another waiter recommendation) which was a bit of a let-down; sauce was good but chicken itself was nothing special. tres leches cake was ok but not memorable.serviceas reasonable. they charge for extra sauces.

everything was pretty tasty and theservicewas good. i would come back, the atmosphere of the restaurant is pretty neat as well and i like that they have a good amount of outdoor seating. my husband usually isn’t a huge fan of mexican food and even he liked it.

greatserviceand even better food! all of it was to die for to include the drinks! highly recommend to anyone who enjoys mexican cuisine. the tacos a la perilla were really good and filling!

excellent food, drinks and atmosphere. theservicewas great, margaritas were some of the best i've had, the food was on point and the atmosphere was awesome! i will definitely return to this restaurant the next time i am visiting san antonio.

i go to the majestic theatre a couple of times a year and acenar happens to be right next to so i usually go there before a show. this place wouldn't be my number one choice but the food is alright. it's a nice place to go for some drinks and appetizers but wouldn't highly recommend for dinner. as for the waitstaff i've had both great and horribleservicehere. if you come sit outside the patio is huge and has a wonderful view of the river walk.

the food is quite bland,servicewas sub par and they really can't even make a decent margarita. décour is beautiful. other than that, not worth it even at half the price.

i said yes to my husband and the restaurant!. this place is amazing! the location and decor are excellent. the food is mexican with a twist and very good. this is one of our favorite restaurants on the riverwalk and not to mention, but my husband asked me to marry him there. theservicecould be a little better trained and more experienced, but over all is a good place to return time and time again.

let's start by saying the food was fantastic. that's the last good thing i can say. sat at the bar and had to ask for menu, then my drinks, then when food did arrive my meal was missing items and the bartender acted like no big deal its coming.

the ball game was on and very loud but nice. i am sure others felt same as guy next to me said it was the same for me.

service makes the meal great or average. stop talking to your friends and take care of us. i will not be back as too many goodservicein area. travel here on business monthly.

this is our favorite in san antonio. we're ruined for salsa- seriously, their salsa is the best i've ever had. their food, drinks andservicehold to the same great standard. they have a very cool atmosphere too. we love it.
