it has great location in the downtown, right beside the riverside walk. it was recommended by the hotel that we stayed in as the best restaurant in riverside but it does not stand as an authentic mexican food. it was more of mexican fusion. the handshaken margarita was stronger than the usual margarita i tried. the food i order was bistiv beef and shrimp. its ok.

tuna margarita was the bomb!!!. the lunch was really good, probably the best mexican food on the riverwalk, but the tuna margarita was the best margarita. get it on the rocks! it rocks!

this is one of the places we like to eat when in satx.  ate here for lunch today and normally enjoy sitting outside overlooking the river.  it was a little hot today and there were no shady areas so we ate inside.  outside is way better and more charming...inside is too hipster for me.  since it was sunday brunch, my wife got the chilaquiles and i ordered the braised short rib tacos.  my wife liked hers and i was looking forward to mine, but i have to admit, the beef was really bland and flavorless.  it had pico and i put some salsa on it, but bleh, nada, nothing.  i couldn't salt it into flavorland.  i asked my wife to taste just in case it was me.  she agreed; no flavor.  maybe they had an off day, but next time i'll stick with the shrimp tacos or the crab tinga tacos.  now for the best part, i had them substitute the regular mexican rice for roasted corn rice (i think that's what it's called).  it was on the menu with the chicken breast in chipotle cream sauce (which is what i was going to order before i went short rib).  the rice was buttered and the pieces of roasted corn...mmmmmm good.  maybe i was delirious from the lack of flavor with the beef.  but i sho liked me some o dat rice!

gotten better. i revise my prior statements about acenar: it's gotten better, with the menu looking more like rosario's and the service level brought up to expectation.

congrats lisa wong: you're obviously listening to the negatives and turning them around.

lisa and bruce no longer have anything to do with this once great spot. crap food now, served by an always-annoyed wait staff. highly not recommended.

great experience service was wonderful. very attentive. food great and very tasteful. surprised margaritas were $9 each. they were good but not quite that good. plenty of food for the price but price is a little high. all in all a very pleasant experience.

had a good experience here. it's been several years since last visit since i avoid riverwalk proper for the most part. service was okay but as expected for the riverwalk. food and drink was good. drinks overpriced but again as expected for this part of the riverwalk. would definitely bring out of town guests here for a good time.

with three drinks (options are mimosa, sangria, bloody mary, and screwdriver) and a choice of entrée, their sunday brunch is a steal at $16. my eggs ácenar were a clever interpretation of eggs benedict which layered sopes, retried beans, poached eggs, and sauce - one queso, one tomatillo salsa. our only complaint was one common to every mexican and tex-mex restaurant we've visited in san antonio - needs more chile!

pricing shown here on ultra spoon do not reflect the real prices. this is a very pricey place, so be prepared. nice atmosphere, fairly good service, waited a little too long to be seated

excellent! offers a great, more-than-casual atmosphere that is a nice haven from the less-than-casual riverwalk crowds. we came with a party of 150 and received impeccable service, perfectly delicious foods (which is saying something for a fixed menu, catering-styled meal), and subtle details that made the experience complete! super refreshing flavor combos, great fire-roasted salsa, not just another riverwalk restaurant. would i go back? absolutely!

really did enjoy this place. different than your normal mexican food, but fun atmosphere and good service. altogether quite pleasing for a riverwalk establishment.

didn't live up to the hype. service was forgetful and slow. made guac table side then it disappeared for 10 min and reappeared from the kitchen. i did not feel valued.
