the experience was worth every penny.. some may find it be expensive, but the food and customerservicewere unmatched. i strongly recommend.

added bonus: the rumor was that cal ripken was in my seat right before we were seated.

i’m very happy that blue pit bbq, a short walk away, wasn’t open as advertised. in search of something good to eat, i opted for woodberry kitchen, and happy i am. friendly and fastserviceteams up with fantastic local food. i had the country ham and eggs served over toast with potatoes and a cheese sauce. delicious. thick sliced ham with eggs over easy. the potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside. eat here.

favorite so far in b'more. i just moved here in august and so far woodberry is my favorite restaurant by far. not only is the atmosphere chic and cool and theservicewarm and friendly, but the food is simply outstanding. everything is fresh as can be and perfectly prepared. the menu changes, but i highly recommend the "snack" of deviled eggs. frankly, give me six of them and that could be the meal for me . . .so so good. we lucked out that we found this restaurant early on . . .the only problem is that everytime we want to go out to dinner, i find myself being pulled for a repeat visit.

sometimes you find a restaurant that is five out of five! location and ambience, serviceand food (not particularly in any order) this is that place. wonderful food and such a pretty place. we were treated like kings and will go back again and again. whether you are looking for a lively foody spot or just a classy joint this is it. i had the tavern steak, a specialty of the house and my friend had the fish of the day, both were great. try this place! you won't regret it.

the food was delicious......

theservicewas terrible. we waited at the hostess stand for 10 mins before someone came to seat us!!

our waitress was awful. i think she was new or just slow!!! everything took forever. i ordered a coke, which is something simple and took 20 mins to get it.

not sure i'll try it again

i tried woodberry kitchen for dinner with my family about a year ago and thought it was wonderful, but i’ve also heard great things about their brunch . on a leisurely saturday morning some friends and i headed over to hampden to check it out. woodberry kitchen  is possibly one of baltimore’s most talked about restaurants. trip advisor ranks it as the #8 restaurant in baltimore. all the food is farm to table and woodberry kitchen prides itself on having a good relationship with local farmers in the area. woodberry kitchen for parking, they offer a free valetservicewhich is always a nice amenity to offer. inside, the building used to be a warehouse but has been since been converted into a two-story restaurant. interior – photo credit google if you are a picky eater, coming to woodberry kitchen  for dinner might not be a great idea because the menu changes daily. however, the brunch menu is available online. i knew to make a reservation in advance so when we arrived at noon, while it w

i don't get the hype. woodberry kitchen was beyond disappointing. we heard great things but waited 20+ minutes for a table with reservations and felt like we were basically ignored once we sat down. the hard cider was in a tiny glass, the pickles and greek salad were peppery, and the noodles and veggies were completely inedible. not sure why the place is so busy since neither theserviceor food were good. i went home and ate dinner.

i've been meaning to get to woodberry kitchen for a long time. it's quite a drive from where i live, and with so many excellent choices to be had in dc and it's close-in 'burbs, it's hard to justify making the trip to baltimore. i'm very glad i took the time to try woodberry kitchen. when i say, "if i were to open a restaurant.." i don't mean that i think i could do what he does here, i mean that i would try to emulate some of the things he does here and i'd be very happy if i even came close. this is a top-notch operation. i caught the owner, spike gjerde, while my dinner guest and i were having a little spiked winter punch by the fire pit. he seems like a genuinely nice guy. his attention to detail and philosophies on farm-to-table dining are well publicized and are at the forefront of his operations from the second you walk through the door. theserviceat his restaurant i

terrific!!!. my wife and i visited baltimore for a long weekend and really wanted to try woodberry. there were no reservations available so we took a chance that we might be able to sit at the bar. we had to wait over an hour......but it was well worth it.

theservicewas terrific. the bartenders are not bartenders.....they are artists. they really take pride in the drinks they make and each of the cocktails took a multitude of steps. it was very impressive to watch and tasted good as well.

everything we ordered was great. had the softshell crab as an app and it was terrific. the bartenders recommended it and they were right on. my wife had the rockfish and i had the braised beef. we loved both dishes. the rockfish had a very crispy skin on it. we had a great time watching all of the action and highly recommend it.

socially responsible splurge. you should go. the food is all but perfect (the oysters are always perfect - eat them raw and you'll
understand).
theserviceis usually pretty good. the house-made breads are delicious and fun - usually there's 3 varieties, so everyone can enjoy something. everything is made in the restaurant - i mean the ketchup is house made. they buy whole livestock, not parts. the butchering is done in house. drinks are excellent - get the government mule. ginger lime syrup and (house made) ginger beer and organic vodka and lime zest... so refreshing. sweet, sour, and a little bit of kick from the ginger.

flatbreads are always good, and the menu changes regularly. try whatever they have on special when you go - i almost always order off the special menu and am never disappointed.

as far as i can tell, every effort is made to purchase local and organic products - and this is reflected in the prices. expect to spend over $40/head at dinner. when i go with my boyfriend we usually end up spending around $100 for drinks, apps, entrees, tax and tip. more if you want some dessert, which isn't a bad idea.

food andservicewere okay, can't say either were great or phenomenal. the kicker is when we ordered a bottle of 2007 frog's leap merlot (2007 being the only year available on the menu for this wine) - an $86 bottle - the server brought out a bottle of 2008 and passed it off as an 07. we said something about the price difference between the two years to our server and were basically ignored - still charged the $86 for the 08 that wasn't on the wine list in the first place. experience left a sour taste in our mouthes and we won't be returning.
