west juliett is a classy little cafe with a great atmosphere to accompany it.
that’s not all this quaint little place had, superb dishes and outstanding coffee! luckily i got to try two great dishes. smashed avocado - poached eggs, hazelnut dukkah, feta, pomegranate, lemon oil, watercress, toasted sourdough add bacon and the portobello mushroom benedict - sautéed kale, poached eggs, truffle hollandise, toasted sour dough and of course i had to add bacon.
the dish that won me over had to be portobello mushroom benedict. i love mushrooms and these portobellos were phenomenal. so fluffy and big with an earthy flavour. they were brilliantly paired wit truffle and hollandaise sauce. the bacon was super crispy and tasty, date i say, the best i’ve ever had.
also the coffee was a big hit with me. it was so good that i needed another. had to also try the sparkling house made soda - passion fruit pulp and lime zest. nice and crisp with a fresh hit which complimented both of the dishes well.

our visit was a sunday morning at 11am - it was a busy weekend and my friends and i were waiting about 15 minutes for a table for three.

we had been wanting to visit west juliette for a number of reasons:
1. it is one of the highest rated cafes on zomato with a great reputable via word-of-mouth;
2. the coffee here is supposedly some of the best in the inner west;
3. the food here is not only exceptional and exceptionally outside the box.

i enjoyed our experience at west juliett.
a great menu to suit all kinds of tastes and the display window has a nice variety of sweet treats which are apparently all gluten-free.

the haloumi and egg roll was the highlight for us. great portion size and the added avocado but it delightful. the roll is full of ingredients so it did get a little messy.
the chicken burger was crispy and salty. i liked the amount of salt but i get that this might not be for everyone.

coffees and juices were great. really enjoyed the freshness of the watermelon juice.

staff were friendly and attentive. top marks to them. when full, the cafe is quite noisy inside.

i would easily come back here for another meal.

west juliett cafe has been on my list of cafes to visit for what seems like forever, with their instagram gallery tantalising with its vibrant breakfasts and healthy salads. with high expectations, i was pleasantly impressed with their food and service, and enjoyed a special of chilli scrambled eggs with prawns and samphire, and prawn oil - a dish bursting with texture and flavour.

good service and generous food. perfect location with a relaxing ambience. the green bowl was delicious with a nicely smoked salmon, the roasted flavour was a perfect balance. the pulled pork benedict was very fulfilling and ridiculously delicious. after hearing this was one of the best cafes in marrickville i’m glad i tried it, although it wasn’t a lasting impression perhaps i will be beck soon 🤔👏🏼

my second time at west juliett and definitely coming back.. the food and service is amazing, they really do pay attention to the little details. they don't try to make their meals overly fancy, but the flavours really hit the spot. if you love mushrooms, you must try the portobello mushroom benedict, it is to die for, i'll definitely be back for that!

this place used to be the goods but now it’s so so. they seemed to have tried to cut costs and no longer no the delicious thick bread and the wow factor that the food had with previous owners. new owners are definitely riding on their coat tails.

i could throw a severed top-knot while blindfolded and hit a decent cafe, from wherever i stood in my neighbouring suburb of marrickville. stumbling across an exceptional cafe however, occurs far less often, in any suburb. west juliett is one of those exceptions. i’d arrived late for lunch the day before, and had begrudgingly sipped my coffee, with my beady eye and pursed lids fixated on the lonely kitchen as if to scorn its closure. little did i know my anger would – in actuality – reach its peak the following day, when i returned to eat.

blue majik bowl : 😁 great
pulled pork benedict : 😍 amazing
smashed avo : 😁 great
green bowl : 😁great
coffee : 😁 great
apple, carrot, celery, beetroot & ginger juice : 😍

west juliett has a very good atmosphere when you first walk in. service from the waiters were very good. they were attentive and helpful. food is very photo-worthy as well as it is delicious. the pulled park had so much flavour and everything on the plate complimented each other well. the blue majik bowl is beautifully plated and very refreshing to have. i highly recommend having a nice hot coffee here or any of their freshly pressed juices.

west juliett is the culinary equivalent of less is more and it made me fall in love with everything about the venue. if only i lived closer i would be visiting for a regular fix. west juliett is easily one of the best cafes i have visited this, or any other, year.

fantastic operation this. we arrived to a sea of friendly waitstaff that ushered us to our seat and were at our beckoned call since then. one of them even accompanied my 5 year old up the cake window and helped him make a choice. not enough cafes these days put enough attention into service. this place clearly invests in the comfort of its customers.

but of course what is good service without good food .. happy to say the food matched it in spades. the coffee was great, the bacon and egg roll is outstanding, and the chocolate chip cookie my little boy decided to order, was fantastic.
i really, really love this place.

a very popular brunch spot set on a suburban street in inner west sydney. i have heard so many good things about this cafe but i honestly felt it is over-hyped and the meal left me rather disappointed. the menu is quite small with simple, classic breakfast items and, salads and sandwiches for lunch. the interiors itself were lovely and the staff were also friendly. if you are looking for a fuss free, classic breakfast but don't feel like cooking, then this place is for you. but for me eating out is an special occasion, where i want to try something new or something i wouldn't or don't know how to make at home. thus this cafe just doesn't meet my mark. i sadly did not try any of their sweets which i have also heard are amazing as they didn't have many left in the afternoon.

a great vibrant cafe serving delicious authentic food, good strong coffee and divine desserts! service is friendly, down to earth and its love-thy-neighbour spirit all the way!

the smashed avocado is super popular, but i loved the green bowl salad with aburi flame torched salmon. the ‘waffle’ and the ‘choc-chip cookies’ are insanely fantastic!👍

sensational! i am such a big fan of west juliett! their smashed avo with dukkah and persian fetta is a total winner! and the main reason i keep going back is for their homemade chocolate chip cookies with salt. not a convert yet? take a bite and you will be.

this cafe is nestled on the corner of llewellyn and juliett street, in marrickville. (arrive before the lunch rush or just after if you want a parking spot and a table).

this cafe is a popular one amongst the locals, and i can see why with their mouthwatering coffee! mmm.. i’m craving it just thinking about it.

i’ve know this cafe for a long time now, and some may have noticed the new menu! the cafe has recently been taken over. they used to be famous for their fresh salads, house-made lemonades and sandwiches. i can happily say their farm fresh produce is still delicious, and the new menu has a good range of dishes.

their coffee is almost better than before and the smashed-avo and slow-cooked lamb were very yum!

definitely one of the best cafes in the inner west!  always go here for a coffee or fresh breakky (avo on toast).
