vista - the park

heard lots of reviews about the park so finally decided to visit it with lots of expectations, the main asset ofvistawas its water view it gives a pleasant feel. coming to food we took buffet ,dey also provide a la carte menu. fish dum biryani was very yummy,starters were also nice,but non veg currys tasted worst ,especially mutton curry was not cooked well, as most of the visitors were foreigners da food was prepared according to their taste ,south indian guys will not like dat taste. curd rice was really awesome and dey provided many options for deserts, it costed around 2300 for two members ,finally for dat price da food was not at all satisfying, coming to hospitality, it was da worst experience for me, the staff who were serving dere just behaved like some servers near road side hotels,i didn't expected such type of treatment at a 5 star rated hotel, dere was nothing special abt dis place i will not visit it again

vizag is huge city with vast attractions. the park hotel occupies prime position in hotel hospitality. it is a vacation hotel with excellent beach setup.vistais a proper restaurant with deep menu and talented chefs and huge kitchen. as you can expect hotel of this grandeur can have slightly higher pricing of food. we went with group of cousins which turned out a great moment in life for that time. it also created an idea in our mind, that this place is best for couple dates.🏖️🏘️🌅

went tovista- the park, a couple of days ago. took the dinner buffet and was disappointed. the food was mediocre, even in a small restaurant the food is kept hot for a buffet. here it was cold, not even warm. unless we called the waiters they didn't bother to remove the plates that we used. overall not something that you would expect from a star hotel. very bad.

we stayed at park for 5 days...vista being the main restaurant at the park on several occasions we had breakfast lunch and room service fromvistakitchen..
restaurant ambience is unique...seating arrangements quite comfortable esp as we travelled with an infant..food quality...quantity and taste are at par with 5 star standards...be it continental...chinese or local andhra flavours... the buffet menu selection was thoughtfully done... but we would specially recommend the sunday brunch buffet...starters were great.. ala cart is satisfactory needs little variation..i guess more number of dishes ...
their bakery is awesome..loved all kinds of breads...burgers.. thin crust pizza...and cakes..we would like to thank the chef for baking us a pizza on one occasion at odd hours on special request...
desserts were mind blowing and huge helping..ice creams..pan rasmallai..mysore pak..kiwi cakes..and very reasonably priced for the quality and service...

if something has changed @vistain the park hotel property in visakhapatnam is its people and service quality.

6 years back when i stepped into this promising and unique poperty of park , the major attraction wasvistaand its people. food and gastronomy was mostly guided by these fine ladies and gentlemen of park. in those days coastal cusine was served with an efficacy beyond comparison.

over the last two years the first thing that really faded off fromvistawas its great people and chefs who made it a great experience for so many of us.

on sunday night as my wife bidisha and myself sat across a table invistaand ordered a set of oriental cuisine , the first thing that struck us that none was there to smile and suggest what is gr8@ vista. i said to wife ,"did you notice this?" she looked at me in utter disbelief !

we ordered a spinach & burnt garlic fried rice and schezuan fish. there was also an order for
cantonese style asian green vegetable .

the fried rice was cooked with precision and tasted good though the oil content was high compared to any acceptable authentic oriental dish. what came as a real surprise was the schezuan fish which actually was cooked in andhra style and by no means was schezuan. we instantly brought the same to the attention of the chef who applogised and wanted to get us something else.

the next monday morning breakfast menu was ordinary and it seems there is nothing much to mention into it.

my spouse and i for long long years into travel and exploring have always believed that gastronomy is all about touching the heart.

i request the park visakhapatnam management to please bring back the old talents and try and improve on the epicurean delight which park has been historically known for.

except for the sea viewvistahas nothing to show for.  the buffet lunch spread is below average. the service is slow. even the dessert section is poor.
do not go for the lunch buffet, unless you want to be disappointed! :(

the park ...not the flamboyant types...but the quiet and elegant ones...for the person who is looking for leisure and service ...and not over the top brouhaha...
thevistais their restaurant which has sunday buffett ...which is just the kind of lunch or brunch one looks for after a late night on saturday...
the spread is not as exhaustive as one might expect... but every dish stands out...be it the greek salads...baked fish ...they have an assorted variety with continental and north and south indian main dishes....the preparation were fantastic...and the service subtle but prompt ...
the desserts are absolute highlight... best tiramisu in town till date ... and cakes.. d mango rabdi.... just irresistible..!!
so i think every one shud try this at least once not just for the resto. but also for their ambience and beach location ...so get pampered ..!!!

the food here in thevistais quite delicious ! actually i should specially mention about the range of varieties that are available here, omg there are numerous varieties which is quite 'eye' feasting ranging from the desi dishes to the continental ! especially this is a great place if you like the food across the continents ! and the service is also quite good with the managers helping you in choosing too, and the best thing is that the view of sea ! it is faced towards the coast and the view of sea is quite goog ! altogether my eperience in thevistais a very pleasentone !
