vista - the park

went for an evening snack at this restaurant, the best thing about this place is not it's food but the view and the ambiance created while you enjoy your food.

you have a clear view of the bay of bengal, lush greenery and the windy breeze which creates quite an atmosphere. it is an upscale restaurant so be prepared to pay up for the luxury of the view and ambiance.

for the food, i ordered achickengrilled sandwich accompanied by french fries and coleslaw. thechickensandwich was quite ordinary and i felt it to be pretty dry, thechickenwasn't as juicy as much you want it to be. the fries were soggy, it's a big turn off when the fries aren't crisp.

also, the service is painfully slow, a lot of times you have to search for people to come to you for your order. 

go there for the view and atmosphere, have a drink or a coffee while you are there.

obviously, the name the park itself takes ur expectations a notch higher, and we were not disappointed. we ordered: 1 margarita (very smooth and refreshing), pestochickenpasta in white sauce (the quantity was enough and the pastas were well baked) and lamb curry served with rice (the meat was tender and very well cooked).
but the main attraction has to be their ambience. the sprawling garden with the beach view in front can make u spend an entire day. the decor was again very aesthetically done as expected. allover, a grand experience!

when seen from outside this restaurant looks like an aristocratic traditional house and when you enter you will be amazed by the cozy ambience, warm hospitality and beautiful glass beach view.

this place serves both ala carte and buffet.but i have been mostly for late night dinner and have figured out menu is limited in late night.

have tried veg fried rice, parathas,chickencurry,chickengrilled sandwich, kheema curry,chickenbiryani and everytime everything has been perfectly cooked with optimum quality and well presented.

only disappointment is wait time, but as they say good food takes time to be prepared 😊

had a good time with family @vista although we chose to order the staff and everyone did good job suggesting us the best dishes apart from the buffet. #nonvegplatter is a must try

vista is one of their restaurants in the property and it hosts a beautiful dinner buffet at 1099+taxes (approximately). a lovely place with an even better ambiance!

they serve the cold cuts,chickensausage with mustard dressing,chickensalad with peri peri dressing, cocktail egg salad, guava, corn and vegetables salad, falafel and hummus, some cheese and crackers as some of their starters range!

the cold cuts were good, although they could use some more flavours, the salads were flavourful with different kinds of dressings, the cheese we're beautiful! the soups were a little spicy for our liking but they tasted good

they serve pasta and indian breads as per your request to the table, so we tried their alfredo pennechickenpasta which had rich sauce but i wish there were some more if herbs in it.

their soft noodles was perfect - flavourful and not over poweringly spicy. they served a wide range of main course dishes from gongurachickento salan to paneer butter masala to vegetable biriyani and kodi biriyani. their garlic naan was made to perfection and it was perfect with the main course dishes. they also hosted some curd rice.

they also serve flavoured water - watermelon and muskmelon along with buttermilk.

their dessert spread is beautiful and the way it's set itself makes your mouth water. bobbattlu, chumchum, gulabjamun, malai sandwich, litchee mousse, beetroot cake, blueberry tarts, black forest cake were some of the desserts to choose from!

and a green tea serving (not a part of the buffet, but you can always ask for an extra, right?) at the end to top it all off made it one amazing meal!

the park is a favourate among vizagites for nice buffets,the other being novotel. i am surprised how come only a few reviews are there on zomato. the park has three places for foodies-- vista, aqua and bamboo bay. i think there is no need to talk about ambience as it is high standard park like. coming to the buffet the spread was wide ranging from salads, fish sticks to really small sized blackforest pastries. beef with brocolli was excellent and so were the lamb croquettes. main course had thai fried rice, somechickendish which tasted really good, paneer masala (i thought it tasted sweet) fried cabbage lot of other stuff. additionally they had mutton biryani, curd rice and few other usual stuff. buttermilk and lassi are worth mentioning. overall the taste was superb. to end it all they have a good spread of deserts, rum balls, ras malai, lauki halwa, caramelised angoori jamun to name a few. indian breads like naan and tandoori roti are available and the service was quick. however i felt that the refilling part was a bit slow. had to wait for more than 15 minutes for blackforest pastries. at 700 inr, the deal is worth it. park is a nice place to unwind and if its not hot its better to enjoy a beer by the poolside and eat at aqua.

went for lunch here today and orderedchickena la kiev. it was very tasty and cooked well. also it was served within 1/2 an hour which is good. service was good. i would like to mention that there was a fly at our table. even though a guy was there with an electric fly swat, the moment the fly landed at our table, that guy was missing.

a semicircular restaurant with a glass beach view and shack ! appears from outside like a posh traditional house . this restaurant serves both ala carte and buffet too . the food here is up-to the mark of quality and taste , we expect . the best part here is that the chef's don't change their authentic recipe according to our wish but they suggest the dish according to our wish . something very different ! 

ambiance here is something different . the staff works with curiosity all the time with enthusiastic . a light pitch of music with yummy buffet spread . 

had thai red curry , mushroom and cashew curry , fried rice , mud pie ,chickensticks ! 

coming tochickensticks : the starters were just marvelous having the mint chutney a side with salad , which i loved it and licked the stick too ! 

thai red curry : scrumptious  curry ever . i never experienced the authentic taste but this restaurant made to have it ! the fish was fresh catch and the aromas were just flowing out with fried rice ! just a bliss !!!

mushroom and cashew curry : the gravy is black in colour with amazing amount of   mushrooms kept into with cashews . grabbed the cashew nuts and mushroom and left the gravy a bit as the stomach was overloaded with thai red , cashews , mushrooms and fried rice . 

coming to dessert : 

mud pie : the mud is chocolate and pie is really a wow ! chocolate was just put into a hot pie and kept into our mouth with ice cream ! the muddie pie had perfectly baked appearance and smell was just a fragrance  ! a must try .

the service is okkkkk.... but the food is better! i love thechickena la kiev! i've been visiting the park since a toddler and the food is never a let down!!! pricing is a little heavy on the pocket but all in all it's definitely worth it!
