i have read too many reviews so thought of giving it a try.friday afternoon was ruined due to their food.i think whomever has eaten from there have not been to the bestindianrestaurants in abudhabi.we ordered for prawns wrapped in banana leaf and chicken chaap for starters.i thought that prawn was so rubbery and undercooked.after trying the chicken i wanted to give up lunch.it was tasteless.coating was thicker than chicken.then we ordered rogan josh and chicken biriyani and biriyani rice.in rogan josh you will find 2 litre oil floating on top and not appealing.biriyani was pathetic.my daughter was saying the food court food tastes better than them.service was ok except for one waiter who was very polite and helpful.very expensive bill for a below average food experience.only good thing about the place is the view of sheikh zayed mosque.otherwise it was a complete let down.the manager also turned up for name sake.i will request everyone to try other goodindianrestaurants than wasting money on this one

i never write a bad review unless it’s something serious , ushna use to be in my opinion the bestindianrestaurant in the capital , everything here was just great , tell they changed their chef and staff , now the service are a bit slow , ambiance not like it use to be , and lastly and most importantly the food isn’t that great like it use to .

i think this is my last visit .

i had asked for seating outside since the weather was nice. we got a great seat with that view of the creek!!! started with some chicken 65 and malai broccoli with tandoori mushroom and sweet potato.. the sweet potato was the best..
for mains we ordered dal makhni and kukure bhindi lababdar.. both were amazing and a must try here.. the only let down was the souq itself where we had to walk a lot from the car part till the restaurant as all the lifts from the basement were closed due to covid.. but rest was great. one of my favindianjoints..

great ambience, good view and when the weather is good nice place for goodindianfare.
seating inside as well as outside are both nice.
service is right up there too, perhaps only drawback is limited dishes on the menu...

one of the very few places in abu dhabi which lives up to the expectation of the trueindiancuisine. the service, food and the vibe of the place is beautiful. i love the corner seats which gives you feel of india. the non veg is delicious. after all the food and the over eating. they serve you a small light treat before you leave crawling out of the souq. these are almonds with some tasty caramel and chocolate rapped up which is a perfect ending to a perfect mean. dinners with family or even a date will turn out to be smooth and delicious.

okay - the ambience rocks !! it is snuggly, chic, cosy and elegant. the food options for vegetarians need drastic improvement. there are only a handful of items in the menu for vegetarians. we ordered the samosa platter ( customized for vegetarians to remove the lamb samosa) , daal makhani and rotis. that came to a a bill of 156 aed ( they did not accept zomato pro due to hijri new year).

the samosa is the same as the potato samosa served in any otherindianrestaurant in abu dhabi - other restaurants may be cheaper and have a tastier potato filling. the only thing you are paying for is the ambience.

to be honest, i was not overly impressed with the presentation of the samosa as well - it was a pretentious 4 pieces of samosas with a few strands of sev, droplets of tamarind and mint chutney in the plate , engulfing the samosa as well. nothing blew my mind to be enamored and fancied by this.

the daal makhani was good but it was the same daal makhani that you can get at places like tandoori corner or other local joints at a fraction of the cost.

there is no value for money.
there was nothing wrong with the food but there is no wow factor- they really need to improve the food varieties for vegetarians and have their differentiation touch to justify their high prices - that was completely lacking.

even the chutneys and papad need improvement - both in terms of presentation and quality. example: check out the presentation of chutneys at signature by sanjeev kapoor. here , you are served achaar, mint chutney and papaya in three small containers. i liked the papaya but even that is not unique - e.g you can have that at via delhi in abu dhabi.

my family who was visiting me loved the ambience. but in retrospect, this is not a place i would even go for a special night etc. the value for money is really missing in my opinion which they need to fix - both variety for vegetarians , rethinking and recrafting a veg menu and their presentation.

this place is great! atmosphere is welcoming and charming.staff are also really friendly, they know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. (special mention to sandy, who is really a great host) food is pretty good, someindianclassics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.definitely will come
back again..😊

the staff is quite friendly. the food quite delicious as well however, the price is exorbitant for the ambiance only and definitely not for the food because it tastes very much the same as any otherindianrestaurant.
a discount is a must if you’re visiting and quite good for an occasion.
