urban sushi & grill

a great little nice sushi fix in the praires! the quality of the food and size of servings are top notch and theserviceis amazing! love it!

we drove to this location with great expectation, but were greeted with the lousiestserviceright from the beginning. upon entering the restaurant we were seated right beside the door, which would make a very loud banging noise when it closed. there were many tables available but we were put in the corner. we then asked to move tables because it was so disturbing. the waitress didn’t come back to our table until a good 20 minutes later to even offer us anything. based on the reviews of this place, we thought we were in for a treat. turns out that the complaints about theserviceare very spot on. our waitress was tending to everyone in the restaurant including answering the phone. she did not have time to come to our table even though there were only 4 occupied tables. we had to wave her over for more water and after that she never checked on us. the food was good, but the rolls were so big that they would often fall apart before you could even pick them up. all in all, the food was decent, but theservicereally put a damper on our outing.

urban sushi is an excellent sushi place that's worth the drive out to white city if you live in regina. i come here often and the owner is extremely nice and welcoming. i've always had goodserviceand the sushi is fresh and tasty. i recommend the combo c for two people as it includes a variety of maki rolls. the restaurant is clean and the quality of the food is consistent. if you haven't been here yet, definitely give it a try as the menu has a variety of combos and individual dishes to choose from.

still the best sushi in the city but theirservicehas gone down the tube. on a friday or saturday night at peak time they've only had one server on for the whole place resulting in a 2hr wait for your food. has definitely kept me from going back recently.

we always take the extra time to drive to this place for sushi! best place near regina. it's decently priced and portions are excellent. can't say i've ever had a bad experience.

the best sushi i have ever had!!!!!!!servicewas good, only took 10 minutes to get out meal and it was amazing!!! we got 2 dynamite combos (dynamite roll, california, and 2 others!) for only $15 each!!! i would have paid a hundred dollars for how good it was!!!! i will be making frequent trips out of the city for this great food!!!

absolutely fabulous sushi!! we have tried many but this one wins on quality. theserviceexcellent and the menu well written and clear. we ordered the tuna and salmon sashimi to start and both were tender but firm with nice presentation. then we had tempura california roll, california roll and salmon and tuna maki. very flavorful and the rice was firm and sticky as should be but not starchy. obviously better quality than what we have had at other places. tea was delicious as well. we will try more items on the menu next time and follow up on them. it's not too far out of the city in the least imho.

up - nice clean spot for some good sushi. quality,serviceand speed was good too.

down - getting back onto the highway is pretty sketchy so be careful. 

out - a good spot to grab some good japanese if you want to skip the inner city. not that there's anything great in regina... :p

by far the best sushi place in saskatchewan!! i was so impressed with the size, price and quality of the rolls! theservicewas great too!

everything was very tasty and very well priced.servicewas friendly. rolls were very large. one of the better sushi restaurants in the regina area. will come back again.

another great meal!. just went again to urban sushi this evening - another fabulous meal all around. urban tower and specialty rolls were fantastic! remains highly recommended for any sushi lovers in and around southern saskatchewan.

extremely impressed!. after reading all of the positive reviews, a friend and i trekked out to emerald park to check this place out. we had supper at 7pm and there was literally nobody else in the restaurant, so needless to say it was quiet.servicewas very friendly and the menu was extensive. food was served very promptly and my only small gripe is that our sashimi came out before the appetizers. sashimi pieces were massive and very fresh. tempura was well done and not overly battered. edamame was bang-on. specialty rolls (we had dynamite and rainbow) were huge and very nicely presented. "spicy" tuna and "spicy" salmon were just regular tuna / salmon rolls with a bit of spicy sauce on top, little underwhelming but still tasty. entire meal, with green tea and no dessert, with tip came to around $50. we were both stuffed. considering that i am used to paying $75-90 at michi for the same food, this was a great bargain. decor was great, brand new place. if you're looking for a great place for authentic japanese, make sure to make the drive out and support this restaurant! we'll definitely be back again soon with others in tow.
