they were very busy, so we found a seat at the bar. the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. we got a burger and fries, with pretzels as an app. thefrieswere amazing! the pretzel cheese was also delicious.

i went on a week night.  the service was great, no problem getting a table outside even though it was quite busy.  i ordered the pickled beets and thought they were yummy. they are tart, but i enjoyed them especially with the cheese added to the plate.  i also tasted thefriesand yummy as well.  i am pleased they have vegetarian offerings as well.  i will visit again!

we have visited twenty tap twice. my husband loved thefriesas well as the mac and cheese plus his tex burger. i on the other hand, had the tuscan and felt the goat cheese wasn't the best combination. we avidly go to bru burger downtown, so we wanted to try another restaurant closer to home. i'm glad we came back a second time. service was great on both occasions, even with a busy friday we were seated quickly. our server was great. i am in love with the cheese curds and the curry ketchup needs to be on a burger. please put the curry ketchup on its own throne! the tex burger is my go to burger from now on! everything was delicious.

i think these may be the best burgers in the city. thefriesare amazing too. not to mention the constantly changing and wide ranging beer selection. the wait can be super long but hang out and have a beer or 2....it will be worth it!

...well-balanced burger was served medium rare as resquested—gasp. what? fantastic crunch from the “green bean casserole fried onion thingies” with a bite from the pickled red ones. never imagined two types of onions on one burger? now you have. i could go on for days about how perfect the (beer-battered?)frieswere smothered..

great beer but.... my wife and i ventured out to twenty tap one saturday afternoon. having drove past it many times before, and having heard many good things about the bar via friends, and online reviews.

the beer selection was great! my wife and i both love craft beer, and the local selection is second to none. the food was wonderful, we had the pretzels and added the beer cheese, and split a turkey burger. both of which are very good, and worth a try, although i will say thefries(which are more than likely vegan fried) are tasteless unless you are a vegan.

what turned my wife and i away from coming back was the service. we started out with a great brunette female bartender (unfortunately i did not get her name) that knew her beer, and was very pleasant and insightful on the menu. she even recommended the food to us. then there was a shift change, and that was where it all went south. a young redhead female took over behind bar. she was rude, and pretty much ignored my wife and i along with another couple sitting next to us. we felt as if we were not the crowd she wanted at her bar, because a two couples came in that looked like "hipsters", and she was attentive to both of those couples. my wife and i felt that we needed tattoos, piercings, and skinny jeans in order to get service from this young lady. young lady also snatched away want looked to be empty glasses, and forcefully put them into the bar sink. we also witnessed 2 employees drinking beers while working.

so if your not a 21-something college student or recent grad don't bother.

simply great.. i probably go to twenty tap at least once a week (and not just because i live a few houses away!). they have a huge selection of great beer that changes constantly and equally great food. i've had just about everything on the menu and never been disappointed. the cheese curds are a must and theirfriesare delicious. my favorite sandwich is probably the mushroom reuben--and i'm not even vegetarian!

the servers are great and can definitely help you choose a beer. on a rare occasion i've gotten a server that wasn't super friendly/attentive but this is definitely not the norm as the majority of the people who work there are very nice and know their stuff. it's true they get quite busy during popular times particularly on a friday or saturday night--but that's just what happens when a place is good! if you don't want to risk a long wait or being seated next to other people (yes--their tables are pretty tight) then i'd suggest going on an off-time.

scrumptious generous portions. not for the weight watcher, everything is super good and greasy in just the right amount. i've been in a few times - the loadedfrieswith chorizo are enough for two and then some. definitely get the aiolis, the cheese beer sauce, and any of the burgers. even thefriesare done right. portions are very large - be prepared to ask for a take out box!

impressive. i have to say that i was really impressed when i ate here. if the weather is nice i suggest sitting outside. that was the only downfall here is if you're inside it seemed like the tables were practically on top of each other! the beer list is really great and the food all sounded delicious. we went with splitting the tex burger and the pulled pork melt, and split a side offrieswith horseradish aoli and the simple side salad. the pulled pork melt was fantastically delicious. the homemade bbq sauce was the perfect amount of smoky and sweet and the cheddar cheese and red onions added a nice touch. the burger was cooked perfectly and was still juicy. the smoked provolone and carmelized onions and bbq sauce again were the perfect compliments to this burger...nicely done! thefrieswere also great...and the horseradish aoli was the perfect balance of flavor/spice as well. we did sit outside and we had great service...she knew enough about the beers to answer our questions and did a great job. overall this was a great experience was great and we will definitely be back to try more items off the menu!

simple and to the point. this little pub and restaurant hit the mark with my date and i last wednesday. great, simple food that was well prepared and at a price point that made it well worth it. the bartender and chef were approachable and offered up great suggestions for both food and drink. the burger i had was perfectly cooked without too much pretension and thefrieswere some of the best i've had in a long while. the mac and cheese was spicy and creamy and the cuban sandwich was spot on with its porky goodness and acidic pickles. keep it up! i'll be sure to go back again.

classic burger is just that. tasty. although i'd order it med-rare next time... med was just a bit overdone for moi.frieswere great. my gal got the cuban; spicy, she enjoyed it... overly pickily for me. next time the cheese curds! beer menu was over whelming. poor server just stands there holding a board with all the beers written in chalk. i kinda felt bad for him. nice guy, good service. oh boiled peanuts need more salt!

great neighborhood pub. there are many places in the city to get beer and pub food, but few offer 20 micro-brews, or craft beers, all the time, with great homemade pub food.
i started with the fried cheese curds. now we all know that fried cheese is fried cheese, but it becomes something magical when you use fresh cheddar cheese curds then coat them in a light, tempura like, batter. people from wisconsin will know what i'm talking about.
next i had the "burn". now i am kind of a "burger whore" you can just no beat a good burger. this is a grilled hand pressed patty topped with cheddar and in-house pulled pork tossed in chilies. yes, you read that right. a burger topped with pulled pork! his thing hits on all levels. it's juicy, meaty, spicy (not too spicy) little bit of heaven. served withfriesor the 3 bean salad. yea, i said it , 3 bean salad!. don't knock it til you try it. the whole thing washed down with a glass of hoppy goodness.
i would recommend you go try it before everyone else figures out how good this place is and you can't get a seat.
the only negative thing can say about this place, is that parking is a pain. it's on college so you may need to park a block or so away, but i for one think the walk is worth it.
