great neighborhood pub. there are many places in the city to get beer and pub food, but few offer 20 micro-brews, or craft beers, all the time, with great homemade pub food.
i started with the fried cheese curds. now we all know that fried cheese is fried cheese, but it becomes something magical when you use fresh cheddar cheesecurdsthen coat them in a light, tempura like, batter. people from wisconsin will know what i'm talking about.
next i had the "burn". now i am kind of a "burger whore" you can just no beat a good burger. this is a grilled hand pressed patty topped with cheddar and in-house pulled pork tossed in chilies. yes, you read that right. a burger topped with pulled pork! his thing hits on all levels. it's juicy, meaty, spicy (not too spicy) little bit of heaven. served with fries or the 3 bean salad. yea, i said it , 3 bean salad!. don't knock it til you try it. the whole thing washed down with a glass of hoppy goodness.
i would recommend you go try it before everyone else figures out how good this place is and you can't get a seat.
the only negative thing can say about this place, is that parking is a pain. it's on college so you may need to park a block or so away, but i for one think the walk is worth it.
