every time we seem to go here the hostesses mess up our table. last time we gave them our name and they said 45 min. after close to a hour i go check with them and the neglected to write our name down! told we would be the next group sat and after another 15 min they put us in a back room at a makeshift foldout plastic table- the manager was trying i have to say because he comped us apps and a round of beers- we ordered our food and after a hour and a half we gave up and left. i get being busy on a friday night but staff accordingly! take three to four of the hostess positions and hire more kitchen staff or servers. doubt we will ever be back

i've tried to give this place a break.
sorry to say you have un-earned my business the last time.
the hostess was short with the group of us. all we wanted was some beers on the patio.
the bartendress was short with me because they don't serve on the patio and i have to carry our beer out to my friends one at a time or they all have to come and get their own.
well, kiss my butt.
you think i owe you my business???!
this is so typical of tm. so, i say
never, never, again.

love this place!. this place is great! some of the best food around and the beers are great as well. the atmosphere of the place is really nice and the interior decor is fun and lively. the outdoor patio is nice on a summer day. you must try the pizza. some of the best i have had in all of the abq area.

absolutely terrible service and food. menu never changes. long wait. no parking..... save your money. how difficult is it to make a burger or pizza? rio rancho is lacking in decent dining options.

good pizza, great staff!. just walking up to the place you can smell this aroma that gets your stomach growling. the food is awesome, and the staff is very friendly! i have taken all of my friends from out of town to this place, one who lived in england for a year and claimed it was the best fish and chips she had ever had! try it out, the drive is worth it!

service sucked ... and that's being nice . we use to love to eat here the food use to be fantastic...did management change or did they stop caring about customer service ... the beer and food is not worth being disrespected ...

knowing the owner reaps rewards. my family and i were next to be seated on a 40 minute wait. i was keeping track because my child was hungry after swim practice. this couple walks in, the man carrying a growler, and we're given a pager and told they had an hour wait. they walk out to the foyer and walk back less than 3 minutes later, hand their non-activated pager to the hostess and they are seated. i went up and asked...to which she pointed her eyes at the owner and said he said to do it. they took our booth! i looked back the past 12 years of reviews and notice this happens time and time again. great food and come here a bunch...well...that may change now. it benefits to know the owner.

worst service ever!!!. the food is over seasoned and the service was so bad, when i called to tell the owner this.. instead of apologizing he put me on hold to talk to his mom and then proceeded to tell me he wasn't going to do anything about it.... i will never go back and would advise everyone i come across to stay away!

havnt been in months, i cant believe they drove away a frequent customer. i was once a frequent visitor to turtle mountain for great pizza and overall pleasant beer. but when i lost my job i had to stop going and by the time i came back it was changed for the worse. to sum it up, they had mostly new staff and no one recognized me and i found out something terrible about this place. they only treat their regulars with the best service and the rest are left waiting. i gave them a fair share to redeem themselves but at the end of the day, you knew who was there regularly and they never gave me the service that they gave the others. what sad way to run as business.

yummm. go here with the hubby quite frequently. he always gets the same, the chimayo pizza. i have gotten several different items from the sun mountain grinder (always a great choice) to the club - oh my so good, to the calzones, which are undoubtably the best in town. their fries are also to die for. good service, great food, will keep coming back for many years to come.

always good. we were there this past wednesday evening. we split a valle grande salad, a sun mountain grinder, and a red rye beer. the salad and the grinder are marked with a little turtle on the menu, meaning that these are house specialties. and that they are! this was plenty of food for the two of us. our waiter knew that we were going to split these, so he brought extra plates without even being asked. service and food prep was prompt.10/23/15 update: we were there early afternoon.  they were busy, but able to get us right in.  our waitress was prompt and took our food and drink order.  the oku amber was very good.  the valle grande salad and sun mountain grinder are both very good and very filling.  we like it and will continue to go back...
