absolutely terribleserviceand food. menu never changes. long wait. no parking..... save your money. how difficult is it to make a burger or pizza? rio rancho is lacking in decent dining options.

service sucked ... and that's being nice . we use to love to eat here the food use to be fantastic...did management change or did they stop caring about customerservice... the beer and food is not worth being disrespected ...

worstserviceever!!!. the food is over seasoned and theservicewas so bad, when i called to tell the owner this.. instead of apologizing he put me on hold to talk to his mom and then proceeded to tell me he wasn't going to do anything about it.... i will never go back and would advise everyone i come across to stay away!

havnt been in months, i cant believe they drove away a frequent customer. i was once a frequent visitor to turtle mountain for great pizza and overall pleasant beer. but when i lost my job i had to stop going and by the time i came back it was changed for the worse. to sum it up, they had mostly new staff and no one recognized me and i found out something terrible about this place. they only treat their regulars with the bestserviceand the rest are left waiting. i gave them a fair share to redeem themselves but at the end of the day, you knew who was there regularly and they never gave me theservicethat they gave the others. what sad way to run as business.

always good. we were there this past wednesday evening. we split a valle grande salad, a sun mountain grinder, and a red rye beer. the salad and the grinder are marked with a little turtle on the menu, meaning that these are house specialties. and that they are! this was plenty of food for the two of us. our waiter knew that we were going to split these, so he brought extra plates without even being asked.serviceand food prep was prompt.10/23/15 update: we were there early afternoon.  they were busy, but able to get us right in.  our waitress was prompt and took our food and drink order.  the oku amber was very good.  the valle grande salad and sun mountain grinder are both very good and very filling.  we like it and will continue to go back...

great food and beer. i love eating at brew pubs. this is one of the best i've visited. usually the food or the beer is good...this one had both. neff (our server and one of the managers) brought me 6 samples of their brews. i fell in love with the 7 hop ipa. the food was really good and theservicewas friendly and prompt. the owner sat and talked with us about micro-brews around the country and welcomed us to his establishment. stop here...you will be happy you did.

one of my family's favorite places to eat in abq. outstanding food and decent microbrew. restaraunt is clean and theserviceis friendly and fast. it does get crowded during peak dining hours so plan to wait for seating if you aren't early (worth the wait, just order a microbrew).

my wife and i shared the nachos and shiprock pizza. both were delicious.servicewas good and it was nice to get seated by the projection tv to watch the basketball game.

tmbc has some of my favorite local brews and very good pizza. such a shame that this brewery/taproom hires kids to run their hostess desk and often does not offerserviceon their patio. we probably won't return.

love turtle mountain. great atmosphere, great food and the beer selection is never boring and i like variety.

parking sucks for the crowds that it draws.

people are criticle ofservicebut this place gets pretty busy. go in sit down order any beer and wait for your food it will be good when it gets there and i've never had a horrible experience withservicehowever the beer and food make up for any sub parservicedue to crowds.

i had gone in with a group of twenty that consisted of 8 different households. when we told her we would need separate checks, she told us it was policy not to split checks and let us know she was the only server in her section so she was going to be busy. she also pointed out on the back of the menu that we would be subject to a 25% gratuity charge. i am a server, i always tip at least 30%, but i feel that it should be my choice and a tip is a reflection of theservicei received. doing a forced 25% is crazy. 18-20% is normal. she wouldn't do a basic thing like splitting checks but expected an above average tip. after arguing with the rude server about how we needed split checks and her being completely dismissive more than half of us decided not to eat there and we hung around while some of the family members had their dinner. the rest of us went to dion's afterwards and experienced amazing service. i wish this was the end of the story.

i know that at the restaurant i work at we always want to know if we've upset a guest so we know what we can do to fix it in the future. i decided i would send them an e-mail letting them know that their policies cost them at the minimum $200 that evening. what they don't realize is it is costing them thousands because we will all never return there ever again. the owner wrote me back saying i must not have told the server beforehand that we needed split checks, because they can do it if they're told first. he also told me that his servers have gotten screwed over with 15% tips with large parties and so they justify the 25% and they give their servers large sections so they can make money, so sometimes they're just too busy to do things like splitting checks. when i told him it seemed like his focus was his servers and not his customers, his response was


on the contrary. i trust my servers to be fair and reasonable. that's alot
more than we get from some of our customers.

i had not been rude, i was truly trying to be helpful. this guy is rude and the policies of this place is the proof that customerserviceis dying. i hope anyone planning on eating here thinks twice and goes to dion's instead.

number 1, no surprise.. at the urging of my son, a former grill cook, we dropped in for lunch. theservicewas warm and friendly, and fast. we ordered a burger, wow, did i say that so casually? what arrived was a perfectly cooked 80/20 1/2 lb. of grilled medium rare meat. presented on a house-made bun, it begs to be eaten, now. the first bite sets the tone for the meal. shoestring fries enhance the flavor of the burger reminding you why burger and fries is a perfect marriage. half a pound is a lot of meat topped with your choice of either all-american enhancements or a serious selection of new mexican variations. either way, or plain, the quality of meat plus the skill of the grill shine. i'm not so much into the pizza experience, but i have just begun to work my way through the menu. the way i figure, i should have eaten through to the back page by thanksgiving-which i celebrate weekly at turtle mountain.

great local vibe. love this place and their staff. adam the gm does a great job for great owners and everything is usually spot on unless your expecting a four strserviceyou will not be diappointed. love the rotating beer menu and adam bomb pizza

this is the best restaurant in rio rancho. i can't believe that they make their own cream soda and root beer. they have a massive menu, the food is delicious and theserviceis great.

nothing special. after reading reviews here and looking at the menu online i was really excited to go to turtle mountain. we started out with the calamari appetizer which was pretty good. i ordered the ojo caliente pizza and my husband ordered the burger. when my pizza came it wasn't spicy at all and i am pretty sure they are using pre-made pizza crust. my husbands burger was a pre-formed patty (like the ones from sam's club) and cafeteria french fries. we ordered a sampler of beer and all of them were hoppy, even the brown ale. our waitress was friendly but hardly ever around. we were finished with our food for approximately twenty minutes before we even got a chance to ask for the check. i would be more understanding of theserviceissues if we had gone on a busy night but we went in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday
i am not planning to return to turtle mountain and wouldn't recommend it.
