really good and not greasy.. this area in the city didnt have an onion burger place so i had never had one. i really enjoyed it and my wife says it's quite good but not the best.
when a clean establishment opens serving a clear cut product that is measurable in quality, it's a good thing.
the richie rich crowd have another place on 23rd to park their range rovers, that means more police patrols and a few less crackheads. can't be a bad thing in my books.

some of these reviews are stupid. "no kids menu?" really!? i guess some people are weaned on happy meals. and yes, (gulp) you will have to throw your bag and trash away. just eat...the burgers are good people!!!!

if you want the route 66 experience, not the glamed up wanna be thing, drive on down to el reno, guthrie or south (dirty word) okc and have a real old fashion onion burger the way it was made 60 years ago, better food. now these guys have a fair burger but it just average and some what over priced, the group they cattier to think it's better if higher. nice try keep workiing.

good burger but. the burgers and fries are quite good but i went at lunchtime on a weekday and it was a loud, packed madhouse, so the meal was not as enjoyable as i would prefer. i don't know if things will slow down once the newness wears off, but if not, they need to expand their seating and parking, and find a way to manage the acoustics.

not even close to the hype!. went to tuckers tonight expecting a great onion burger. didn't get one.

pros: cool building, clean
cons: no kids menu even though the place has lots of pics of kids, dry bland burger, very very expensive for what you get. if you have a family of 4 expect to pay upwards of $40 for hamburgers, fries and cokes. keep in mind you will eat off a paper bag, use plastic utensils, get your own drinks and be expected to clean your table too! the food is about 3 steps below nic's and the comfort is about 3 steps below johnnie's all while costing more than both. very disappointed.

great! (with caveats). good burger. love the jalepenos. pretty pricey.
wish wish wish they had a half order of fries for a little more than half price, i mean c'mon i'm eating alone here and don't need a full pound of fries! overall, i like the concept and pretty good execution.

so simple, so good!. we absolutely love tucker's! the burgers and shakes are to die for! the fries were a little too salty for our friend's taste, but we loved them. the fact that this place uses local vendors is a major plus, kudos! keep up the good work.

pretty good. i went to tucker's about 2 weeks ago on my lunchbreak and the place was packed. i really enjoyed their limited menu as it kept choosing simple and fast. i ordered the single onion burger and a side of fries. the burger was pretty good, a bit greasy, but good. i will not be getting the fries again though, they were entirely too salty. i would go back, but only if i was dying for an onion burger.

disappointed. with all the hype, we were looking forward to a great onion burger, but, we had a bad experience. we arrived at 1:15 pm on sunday--the place was crowded, but not packed. extremely noisy. $8+ for a single cheeseburger and fries. the staff seemed in slow motion, and we waited 25 minutes for our order. the fries were barely warm. the burger was ordinary, and largely spoiled by the bun, which was very heavy. we won't go back....

very good in the hood. yum fries, very limited menu but if your hung over and craving some greasy food head on over. a few too many onions on the burger for my taste, but it was delicious and happy 23rd street has added another great choice. i would eat here more often if turkey or bison was an option.

decent, clean, but could be better.. the wife and i decided to give tucker's a try. was happy with the fries and decor. my burger was pretty decent, but shouldn't have put the jalepenos on it. next time i think i'll go with just mustard. as some other people have said, the wife's burger wasn't up to par. the onions were tough and made it impossible to bite through.

cook em down a bit more, and leave off any weird toppings and you'll be happy.

thought it was great, like abraham's used to be. it's different than republic or s&b so don't compare them. simple, yet very well done. great outdoor seating too.

very pleased. i've been very pleased with all three visits thus far to tuckers. now it's not necessarily a true onion burger in the sense of other onion burger joints as the onion is not actually cooked and pressed into the meat. but each burger i've had has been very very good.

the buns they use are different. they are not mrs baird's bread or rainbow bread packaged hamburger buns which many places here around town use buttered down. these are what appear to be, and taste like, hand-made and fresh buns and are from a local sustainable bakery. i would compare the bun to that of an upscale restaurant using a fancy bread. it is a little more dense than a cheap bagged bun.

the meat is very fresh. it is very comparable to the fresh meat my grandmother would bring back from the butcher in the summertime when she would take a cow to town for butchering. it was really mouthwatering and juicy. each time the tomatoes on our burgers are extremely red and ripe, and the lettuce is always perfectly crisp.

one one of my visits i tried, for the first time ever, a turkey burger. it was very, very good. i was very shocked that it tasted no different than a beef burger. i will certainly order again to be a wee bit better on the healthy side.

i have yet to try their milkshakes. they have an icecream cooler there in line where one day i saw some half-made shakes sitting in there. perhaps they can get two shakes out of one mixing but i'd rather have a shake made fresh on the spot.

they have a smorgasbord of drinks to choose from. their tea is fantastic, and their cane sugar-sweetened tea is great also. they also serve round barn root beer from arcadia. i also like how they have nice plastic cups that if you bring it back in on your next visit the refill is under a buck.

oh, and they have that really good small sonic-like ice. that's a real bonus.

overall i've been quite impressed with the food. it's a bit expensive for what i want to really pay for a burger and fries, but i don't mind the extra expense since all the ingredients are local.
