friend brought me there just because of the crispy bacon and egg. it's basically a little bundle of breakfast goodness.greatfood, neat decor.

amazing!.greatfood, and a wonderful vibe. one of my new favorites in gastown!

tuc is a new'ish restaurant near gastown on west cordova st. (they've just marked a year in business). sandwiched in between the army & navy and the woodward's condos. the space is very "loft" feeling - with high ceilings, exposed pipes, reclaimed wood and neon sign art (think cool, partial cafe sign, not eye-rolling millertime). a bench runs along one wall with suspended padding, in a striking red, making for very comfortable, and unique, seating. the typewriter font menus are simple in both appearance and selection - eight starters/sharing plates and eight mains.greatpricing too - one main (a 12oz dry aged rib eye) is over the $30 mark - all the others congregate in the high-teens, low-twenties. accompanied by a wide drink selection - rotating taps/curated bottle selection, classic & unique cocktails, wine, scotch and whiskey. i was in a simple mood - so

we had agreattime having our dinner at this place because the food was up to the mark and absolutely tasty and along with this the prices were also reasonable.

very friendly greeting and awesome bartenders. they give good advice on beverages and meals. i asked for a good gin and tonic, got the lavender & grapefruit g&t which was agreatpallet cleanser.

the interior is decorated with old warehouse knicknacks. i really like the huge gear chains holding the shelves up.

i started by ordering a main with 2 sides. the bartender gave me that "are you sure...." look as it was a lot of food. i took his advice and swapped the sides for the crispy pork belly starter, followed by the just chicken main.

the crispy porkbelly is sweet tasting, crispy skinned and chewy on the flipside. the red wine reduction adds a little acidity to it to compliment the flavour. really nice!

the just chicken was chicken breast cooked perfectly moist and juicy. the dried pear, artichokes and sweet bbq sauce mixed and matched the flavours so well. this was a definite good replacement to the chicken and waffles i so wanted.

the service is phenomenal - really friendly, warm and welcoming. i ate by myself but never felt "alone". really recommend this place.

really enjoyed the eggs & salad at brunch.greatflavour and texture combos; i'm trying to find an excuse to go back to vancouver now! service was good and others at the table enjoyed their meals too. tried the "crispy egg" (similar to a scotch egg) and it was interesting but the tempura coating wasn't my favourite.

got netflix recently. it’s a bit of an obsession to just easily just click it on and lose myself in hours of scandalous politics. agreatfriend for an introvert. what an effort it was to drag myself away from it and see real human beings. coffee usually gets me going out though:. visited tuc with the gals. sorry m, for being an hour late and for making you guys wait in line for us… i had the lavender latte:

absolutely love the food here! service isgreatas well. my second visit, i went with a larger group so we had to order from their set menu. we went with the mid tier menu which was $41 per person. it included 4 appetizers (served family style to share), an entree and 2 desserts (family style). also ordered their crispy egg with bacon (a tuc craft specialty). it was a lot of food but super scrumptious. food was fresh and seasoned well. have yet to try their brunch still but have heardgreatthings and sure it won't disappoint!

tuc craft kitchen definitely makes agreatstop for a cocktail crawl, with an awesome list of both classic and original cocktail recipes catered to different tastes. i was pleased with all 3 original creations this evening, with the”flowers for algernon” being the gin perfection and my favourite. the”coffee & cigarette” also makes a fun and whimsical choice. there is a good selection of small plates to go with your drinks and i think the crispy bacon and egg would go well with almost anything.

such agreatplace for a brunch date and the service was spectacular. i also ordered the lavender latte and apparently they make their own syrups. it was also a verygreatatmosphere and i really enjoyed my time there.

so i love this place but today i was a bit disappointed with what i ordered.

i decided to try a new dish waffels, with scramble eggs and baked ham. the waffels weregreatas usual but the the eggs were not cooked well, a but rubbery and the ham was okay. it would have beengreatif it was ham off the bone but it was just a thick slice or ordinary ham.

the things i loved today: the freshly squeezed oj, the boiled egg with encrusted with fried bacon. my friend got the fried chicken and waffels. amazing!!!

i'd go back because i've had so manygreatdishes here but be selective and stick to what they are know for is my advice.

tuc craft kitchen is no doubt, one of my go to for brunch spot in vancouver. agreatnew addition to gastown.. i love stopping by on a weekend, browsing through the local shops along the area after my meal. it's agreatway to digest the million calories i've just consumed in one sitting and gastown is home to some of my favourite shops and coffee ever.

my guest recommended this one. i have heard that they do agreatchicken and waffles brunch, but we were here for dinner. i walked in at 6pm on a wednesday without reservations. the room had only two tables sat, and they had plenty of seating across two floors. though i was told that because our party was only two we couldn’t have a booth, or something not in the middle of the room. in retrospect the policy made sense seeing as how quickly the rest of the restaurant filled up after 7pm. this arrangement ensured no party was left standing, but i still hated hearing “no” when i asked for a booth seat against the wall. i really dislike an isle two top table and if i could, would always ask for anything else. anything is better, except the bar when i am eating. i rather not have the bartender watching me wolf down my meal. on a two top, you feel like you are in everyone’s way, with no safe corner to put your back towards. these tables are often narrow to create ample isle space on either sides. therefore there often isn’t enough space for all your dishes, yet you are often left leaning across it to speak with your guest. this is not an arrangement meant for a lingering stay. you want to just eat and leave because you are so uncomfortable, which very well may be the intention. but at least they were consistent with this messaging, they told the couple that came in after us the same thing, and everyone else the same after them.

great atmosphere and decent food. the food here is hit and miss. the beef cheeks were amazing served on a bed of mashed and cheese. the chicken was juicy but the fish was a bit dry for my liking. the mashed fries should be taken off the menu, totally ruined the appetite! but all in all, agreatplace to hang out with friends

great food definitely here, went here twice already and everytime the food have never really disappointed me.

came here both for lunch time, and the price isgreatfor the taste, but for the portion maybe it's a little bit smaller than what i hoped it to be. 

the taste of each of the food i ordered is slightly on the stronger side, like it'll explode and leaves an after taste effect, but a pleasant after taste effect. so in general is all good and very well pleased with the time management of the food.

the servers are also great. :) recommend this place for lunch and ask their servers if you're one your first time, they can guide you through the menu :)

2nd time over here ordered a few more dishes, and all did not disspoint at all, lamb and mussels for appertizer and 2 sanwiches and a chicken and mash potato. all tastes very very satisfying, portion is small for me, but taste for price? a little bi more on the on the cost, but somehow i still think it's within my budget :)
