love this place!. while visiting lubbock, this place was recommended when we asked where to get a good steak. best referral we have received in a long time....the food was wonderful. theatmosphereis casual and loved the decor. the staff was friendly and very knowledgable about everything on the menu. the beer we chose was very good. for dessert we shared cheesecake. i think it was the best cheesecake we have ever had. my husband seldom finishes dessert, if he even gets dessert and he eat all of his half. he went on and on about his steak...we will definitely return on our next visit to lubbock. thanks!

a little history for you: the triple j chophouse opened in 2006. the historic building was once the hub city brewery for 11 years. we also have learned at one time it was a glass company. if you know any other information about the building, let us know! i did not know what to expect from theatmosphereor the look of the restaurant. the first thing that caught my eye wa

...just ok. three teenage boys-- no one finished their food. highly unusual. the bergers were overlooked. i had a salmon salad and it was tasteless. wait staff was good andatmospherewas fun. ....cross this off your list!

not impressed. theatmospherewas nice, but the girl was sort of out of it. the mixed drinks were reasonable, $ 5.50, but should have been as there was no alcohol in it. the $20 filet was a joke., the size of a small palm, maybe 1/4 inch thick. the potato was ok, but very dry and i had to ask for extra sour cream to swallow it. i had to ask for rolls, which were the best part of the meal. the salad was sparse, the dressing tasted like cheap bottled. i would give it a d. not a chop house more a flophouse. our bill for 3 was over $90.00. i knew we should have gone to chick-fil-a......

you should try this place!. this is by far my favorite place in lubbock to eat. nothing on the menu is bad, everything is good. from the salads to the pizzas to the steaks. big yum! the staff are friendly and attentive and fun to talk with. their drinks are good too. theatmosphereis funky, antique and definitely not a chain decor. love it, love it. if you decide not to go, thats good. more room for me and my friends! :d

disappointed (could be good, but wasn't). i was very disappointed with my experience at triple j. things started off smoothly, the waiter was friendly and theatmospherewas pleasant. however, things went downhill once we received our meal. someone besides our waiter (i am assuming a manager) brought the food and it looked great. my dish, the honey & pepper ribeye was great. however, my friend, who ordered a medium 7 oz filet cut into his steak to find that it was practically raw. our waiter, who it appeared had been assigned too many tables, could not be found for at least ten minutes, and when we finally flagged him down, he agreed that the steak was terribly undercooked. he took it back, and brought the same steak that had been recooked back about 5 minutes later (it was cooked, but didn't taste good), and by this time i was finished. our waiter, then could not be found for another 15 minutes. we finally got our checks and got out. no manager came over to talk to us about our experience, and no compensation for the experience was offered.

not bad. the gravy on the chopped steak was the best. chicken fried steak was just ok. service, cocktails, andatmospherewere nice.

uniqueatmosphereand great food. i recently tried the german sausage with onions and peppers special. it was very delicious. i vote for any restaurant that occupies this classy old building.

great atmosphere. the service is great and the restaurant has a great atmoshphere. food has been hit or miss, but other than the occasional miss it has been a good experience. the microbrewery is great, recommend getting the sampler as they only brew about 6 types at a time. mostly of the brews are seasonal. theatmosphereand l live entertainment is what keeps us coming back.

this fun place has a festiveatmosphereand a friendly staff. the live music brought me back here repeatedly.
