triple j is a fairly traditional texas steakhouse, though its menu is slightly more creative than your average steakhouse. queso is a fusion between queso and spinach artichoke dip, served with fried wontons instead of chips. i haven't ever tried their steaks, but their chicken pot pie is very tasty albeit quite rich. it's the only brew pub in the city, red raider is probably their best, just wish they would brew something with higher gravity.

this place was buzzing and that too on a week night.

i was taken there by a friend who loves good food. their steaks were cooked to perfection mine was medium rare, a minute dainty which wasn't too dainty for my hearty appetite and his rare just the way he liked it.

our sides were awesome and their wedge cut lettuce salad with all the works just did the greens for me.

my friend swore by their ever popular signature ale, something he commented that only they serve.

all in all great texan steaks. nice service by "brie" who was our waitress for the evening.

if i ever come back, i'll definitely come back and eat here again :)

best steaks in lubbock.. by far the best steaks in lubbock. great service and a great atmosphere. highly recommend.

this is one of my favorite restaurants - in fact, i had lunch here today with a peer and i'm back for dinner. the cobb salad was great for lunch - large, fresh & filling. service by josh was outstanding. however, tonight i forgot one cardinal rule - do not sit at the bar if you want quick service. don't get me wrong, the bartender is perfectly pleasant and when he is waiting on you (between running all over the place, restocking the bar, explaining which drinks are which to the wait staff, etc.), the service is good. he's simply overworked and has way too much going on to be an effective waiter. the good is great, but if you want quick service, get a table.

i really liked this place. in lubbock for business and found this place using urbanspoon. had the grilled chicken with rosemary & lemon. the best grilled chicken i have ever gotten in a restaurant. had the american brown ale, drank it all but wouldn't get a second glass. i would recommend it to anyone in the area.

love this place!. while visiting lubbock, this place was recommended when we asked where to get a good steak. best referral we have received in a long time....the food was wonderful. the atmosphere is casual and loved the decor. the staff was friendly and very knowledgable about everything on the menu. the beer we chose was very good. for dessert we shared cheesecake. i think it was the best cheesecake we have ever had. my husband seldom finishes dessert, if he even gets dessert and he eat all of his half. he went on and on about his steak...we will definitely return on our next visit to lubbock. thanks!

nothing fancy. food was okay, for me its over priced. i have had better food at texas roadhouse. the only slightly redeeming quality was the beer, even then nothing to right home about.

one of my favorites!! great for "date night"! always a crowd on the weekends so get there early if you don't want to wait too long...if you do have to wait you can hang out in the bar area and get a drink!

a little history for you: the triple j chophouse opened in 2006. the historic building was once the hub city brewery for 11 years. we also have learned at one time it was a glass company. if you know any other information about the building, let us know! i did not know what to expect from the atmosphere or the look of the restaurant. the first thing that caught my eye wa

interesting decor. fun atmosphere. ribeyes were cooked to perfection the creamed spinach was excellent and my family loved their sides as well. our server, kenzie was very attentive and made our time enjoyable.
