trio restaurant

anyplacebut trio. after reading many reviews for this restaurant we took our neighbor for a special birthday dinner. we were more than disappointed. first, the banquet is way too low making it awkward to eat. we all ordered from the prix fixe menu, but were told that two of the items were no longer available and after taking the order the waitress returned to say that another item was changed. the fried artichoke appetizer was obviously from a can. no staff ever refilled our water glasses. the sweet pea and lemon ravioli entree was watery; the israeli couscous was undercooked, some bits totally raw and the cole slaw accompanying the fish sandwich had an off taste. dessert was served without asking beforehad if anyone wanted coffee and when the coffee was served it was 10 minutes after dessert was served. the coffee refill was cold. all in all.... after spending much time deciding where to take our neighbor, we could have gone to a chain restaurant and had a much better dinner.

a group of friends and i headed to trio on a saturday night. there were lots of big tables with ladies celebrating birthdays and bachelorette parties. i thought the draw were the handsome waiters and bartenders, but i later found out the staff has a special "surprise" for lady celebrants. caution for the easily offended ;)

the noise level here was just right to mask my usually rowdy group of friends!

the food was delicious. i had the skirt steak and it was a huge serving and super yum! expect to spend at least $20 on your meal alone and $10 each drink.

the cocktails are strong and yum as well!

the decor is retro with highlights of orange. the staff is super nice!

this is a greatplaceto have some fun and enjoy some great food!

amazing. if you want food that the chef put thought where it's from and how it's prepared, thisplaceis for you! so fresh and incredibly flavorful

really nice experience. we stopped in with our elderly aunt and we had a very good time. the food, wine selection, and service were all good. we ordered off the early-bird menu (r u surprised) and my ravioli was terrific. for some snow-bird from wisconsin, they've opened a niceplacein the desert.

excellent all around. immediate and friendly service from the start to finish! thisplacewas bustling with lots of customers, but we never felt rushed or hurried.
the fried artichokes are as yummy as described. this was followed by a unique and delicious grilled fruit salad. i had the grilled swordfish entree special with angel hair pasta. the portions and flavors were perfect. we ended our meal with the pumpkin and chocolate chip bread pudding... heaven!

best looking staff, ever..... i love trio, such a greatplaceand the pre-fix menu is amazing with great prices. if you are really hungry & want some very tasty food hit trio & have the half chicken dinner, you won't believe what comes to your table. a favourite of mine that i have at least once if not twice each time i visit p.s. it has the best looking, polite staff ever, from the hot friendly wait staff, cute bar staff & adorable bus boys & sexy hosts that greet you with a smile as you enter. even the other patrons eating are some of palm springs elite. i'm not sure if you have to be a model to work there but i'm sure it helps, lol. if you like eye candy while you eat this is theplaceto go.... check it out, you'll return over & over again.

ab fab in ps!. i spent 5 nights in ps and ate here three of them - so not like me. the energy and service are fantastic - groovy but not so cool it overwhelms the food.

jules, the delightful and oh so competent hostess makes you feel right at home the minute you walk in. the rest of the staff is just fabulous too. the owners sure know how to pick them - pretty to look at but they are professionals!!!

the food, oh, the food! from sublime deep fried artichokes to perfectly cooked rib eyes to spectacularly nuanced crayfish potpie and the over the top mile high lemon meringue pie - thisplaceis to d-i-e for.

the staff is knowledgeable about the wine list and makes excellent suggestions. service is attentive but not intrusive and very friendly - probably part of the whole gay vibe but whatever, it works.

if ya want the pie, get there early. ruby montana delivers it from the coral sands daily and it sells out fast!

niceplacefor a night out. i would recommend this restaurant. with their fixed price menu offering a three course meal for $19 it is an incredibly good deal. even ordering a la carte the prices are reasonable. the food is quite good, the decor is trendy and the staff attentive and friendly. my only compliant is that i have to agree with some of the other reviewers here that the drinks are over priced. still, a niceplaceto go for a night out and if you aren't much of the drinker than it would be a good value too.

cold food, fake atmosphere. we went to trio as a group being told it was theplaceto be in palm springs. will never go again. the drinks are a bit over priced and our food was cold when it came out! the wait staff spends too much time schmoosing with a very pretentious la gay crowd. i'm gay and i hated it. placing ads on every page of ps magazines does not help food quality, looks like desperation for customers.

eat, drink & strike a pose. as we strolled down palm canyon drive we were drawn to trios orange sign with funky decor. we stopped in and ordered some cocktails (trio tini and ecstasy martini) with an order of
wisconsin artisan cheese plate which i do recommend.

what struck me about trio is that it is defiantly trendy with its hand picked beautiful staff but i found that the staff showed genuine warmth with a friendly easy going manner to everyone. also, this to be a greatplaceto people watch! don't walk by, give thisplacea try.

next time i'm in palm springs i'll make time for dinner
