trio restaurant

it’s my first time here and i was impressed. themenuhas many good looking dishes and decor is interesting.
i had a curry chicken salad and some of the homemade potato chips. both were very nice and i look forward to trying other things on themenuthe next time i’m here.

trio has a diverse brunchmenuplus they serve $5 bloody mary's. it also has the virtue of being able to easily seat a larger group of people. the mushroom enchiladas were excellent with mushrooms in the enchiladas and in the sauce.

listed as a zagat 2013 "local favorite', trio restaurant, located in the heart of the uptown design district, is 'where palm springs eats & drinks'. operating partner tony marchese and executive chef/co-owner mark van laanen, have invested in their dream restaurant, offering us their take on american contemporary comfort food. open just over a year, themenucovers everything from steak, shepherd’s pie, burgers, that 'apparently on every palm springs menu', iceberg wedge salad to lamb shanks, yankee pot roast and a mac 'n 5 cheese ‘a la trio'. the bar is hopping when we arrive; 10 to 15 young-ish revelers are waiting for their bachelor party table to be ready and are quaffing martinis and other fancy drinks. once seated, server terrance runs us through the evening's specials. john starts with a roasted baby beet salad with mixed greens, pecans, blue cheese, citrus sections topped with citrus balsamic vinaigrette. his main is a simple bowtie pasta primavera, served to abundance with snow peas, tri-colour peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, and onions in a light garlic butter herb sauce. i dig into the one of the evening's specials: pan roasted mahi mahi 'cajun style' with hints of lemon brandy glaze and smoky paprika and toasted cumin. we wash this down with a lovely malbec 'las nubes' from argentina. welcome to palm springs!

really nice experience. we stopped in with our elderly aunt and we had a very good time. the food, wine selection, and service were all good. we ordered off the early-birdmenu(r u surprised) and my ravioli was terrific. for some snow-bird from wisconsin, they've opened a nice place in the desert.

excellent meal & service. we had two really delicious meals at trio. themenuis varied and the service was excellent. we really enjoyed the vibe and ambience of the restaurant too. great place.

best looking staff, ever..... i love trio, such a great place and the pre-fixmenuis amazing with great prices. if you are really hungry & want some very tasty food hit trio & have the half chicken dinner, you won't believe what comes to your table. a favourite of mine that i have at least once if not twice each time i visit p.s. it has the best looking, polite staff ever, from the hot friendly wait staff, cute bar staff & adorable bus boys & sexy hosts that greet you with a smile as you enter. even the other patrons eating are some of palm springs elite. i'm not sure if you have to be a model to work there but i'm sure it helps, lol. if you like eye candy while you eat this is the place to go.... check it out, you'll return over & over again.

good not great. the atmosphere here is wonderful though they recently closed their bar tables to "walk ins". you now must wait, or have a reservation, to eat in the bar. themenuis a bit limited with the entrees being better than average palm springs fair. i have the sense that the owners/ staff think that trio is better than it is.

comfort food with a french twist in a very trendy atmosphere. excellent food and service, but very loud with tight seating. the fixed pricemenuis a great deal, but the dessert selections were limited. they were able to accommodate my two young children with high chairs, but no children'smenuwas available. overall, a fun and different experience in palm springs.

nice place for a night out. i would recommend this restaurant. with their fixed pricemenuoffering a three course meal for $19 it is an incredibly good deal. even ordering a la carte the prices are reasonable. the food is quite good, the decor is trendy and the staff attentive and friendly. my only compliant is that i have to agree with some of the other reviewers here that the drinks are over priced. still, a nice place to go for a night out and if you aren't much of the drinker than it would be a good value too.
