disappointing service. food was great but our server was less than attentive to our needs. he spent too much time carrying on idle conversation with other tables and staff.

also, if you are going to offer a baby beet salad, it should probably have more than one beet in it!

the 18% gratuity added to the check was offensive!

any place but trio. after reading many reviews for this restaurant we took our neighbor for a special birthday dinner. we were more than disappointed. first, the banquet is way too low making it awkward to eat. we all ordered from the prix fixe menu, but were told that two of the items were no longer available and after taking the order the waitress returned to say that another item was changed. the fried artichoke appetizer was obviously from a can. no staff ever refilled our water glasses. the sweet pea and lemon ravioli entree was watery; the israeli couscous was undercooked, some bits totally raw and the cole slaw accompanying the fish sandwich had an off taste. dessert was served without asking beforehad if anyone wanted coffee and when the coffee was served it was 10 minutes after dessert was served. the coffee refill was cold. all in all.... after spending much time deciding where to take our neighbor, we could have gone to a chain restaurant and had a much better dinner.

it’s my first time here and i was impressed. the menu has many good looking dishes and decor is interesting.
i had a curry chicken salad and some of the homemade potato chips. both were very nice and i look forward to trying other things on the menu the next time i’m here.

good reasonably priced meal at trio (the $20 prix fixe may have been even better value). the service was pretty good and they were fast (which was great considering our large table).

four of us all ordered the 3 course prix fixe. a three course meal for $19.99. all had seperate entree's, main meals and deserts.

i enjoyed my first course of soy ceviche and second course of trio angus burger with blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, brioche bun, french fries. i was disapointed with the french fries. to serve mcdonald's shoe lace type fries, does the restaurant a disservice, and for all i know this is where they may have come from.

the 3rd course of an ice cream sundae, was really delicious.

a friend commented that she felt rushed to order, once the server knew we were having the 3 course meal. i felt the server was doing her job and have no complaints other than the fries.

this is probably the last time we will visit trio. there are far more that we can dine at.

“located in an historic mid-century building in palm springs sophisticated uptown design district, trio is lively and up beat all year round.  locals (trio’s regulars) love its varied menu combining traditional midwest comfort food with a california contemporary edge like yankee pot roast, calamari with thai dipping sauce, braised lamb shank, and roasted baby beet salad.”

trio delights with midwest meets california cookery.   goo.gl/nymvsu the menu at trio has many tempting choices, such dishes made with couscous, caramelized onions, miso mango reduction, sweet chili soy sauce, and seasonal vegetables. the following were my favorites from the three-course prix fixe menu and bar.  #jessebluma #pointeviven #trio #palmsprings #zomato

they say that trio is ‘where palm springs eats.’ sure enough, shortly after i arrived, some locals i had met came in for dinner. the restaurant is located on palm canyon in the uptown design district. i sat inside this time, but the outside tables were great for those who like to people watch and enjoy fresh air. it gets crowded, so reservations are definitely recommended. at my inside table, i had a good view of their large art collection featuring local artists. the atmosphere is loud, fun and full of energy.

trio has a diverse brunch menu plus they serve $5 bloody mary's. it also has the virtue of being able to easily seat a larger group of people. the mushroom enchiladas were excellent with mushrooms in the enchiladas and in the sauce.

wow wow wow is all i can say!!! service was divine - friendly, polite staff. food came out super quick at the right temps. bottomless mimosa with brunch for only $12. we did the trio 3 course meal for $19. i had the calamari, skirt steak with brocccolini (they allowed me to substitute the veg with no extra fee), and a brownie for desert that was sublime. definitely would recommend to anyone coming to palm springs! i think i'll have to come back again just for my fill of trio good eats!!

a group of friends and i headed to trio on a saturday night. there were lots of big tables with ladies celebrating birthdays and bachelorette parties. i thought the draw were the handsome waiters and bartenders, but i later found out the staff has a special "surprise" for lady celebrants. caution for the easily offended ;)

the noise level here was just right to mask my usually rowdy group of friends!

the food was delicious. i had the skirt steak and it was a huge serving and super yum! expect to spend at least $20 on your meal alone and $10 each drink.

the cocktails are strong and yum as well!

the decor is retro with highlights of orange. the staff is super nice!

this is a great place to have some fun and enjoy some great food!

listed as a zagat 2013 "local favorite', trio restaurant, located in the heart of the uptown design district, is 'where palm springs eats & drinks'. operating partner tony marchese and executive chef/co-owner mark van laanen, have invested in their dream restaurant, offering us their take on american contemporary comfort food. open just over a year, the menu covers everything from steak, shepherd’s pie, burgers, that 'apparently on every palm springs menu', iceberg wedge salad to lamb shanks, yankee pot roast and a mac 'n 5 cheese ‘a la trio'. the bar is hopping when we arrive; 10 to 15 young-ish revelers are waiting for their bachelor party table to be ready and are quaffing martinis and other fancy drinks. once seated, server terrance runs us through the evening's specials. john starts with a roasted baby beet salad with mixed greens, pecans, blue cheese, citrus sections topped with citrus balsamic vinaigrette. his main is a simple bowtie pasta primavera, served to abundance with snow peas, tri-colour peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, and onions in a light garlic butter herb sauce. i dig into the one of the evening's specials: pan roasted mahi mahi 'cajun style' with hints of lemon brandy glaze and smoky paprika and toasted cumin. we wash this down with a lovely malbec 'las nubes' from argentina. welcome to palm springs!
