we are there last night and have to say it was not the greatest experience. we waited about 10 minutes before the server ever showed up to take our drink order and that was after we had to ask if there was a server for our table. he gave us an excuse that the hostess was not suppose to seat the table since he had other tables on the other side of the restaurant. poor excuse...a good server always checks their section, especially when they have another table seated next to us that they were also responsible for. needless to say, the service wasn't the best. weorderedan appetizer antipasto plate which was delicious, but unfortunately this was not the case with our entrees. one of the 4 pasta dishes that wasorderedin our party was under cooked to the point the pasta was still crunchy. my spaghetti bolognese was definitely nothing to write home about. the pasta was gummy and the sauce lacked seasoning. very disappointed. if i ever decide to go there again i will stick with the appetizers and skip the entrees for sure.

my boyfriend and i ate here last night, the food and service was horrible. we arrived (after calling ahead of time for seating) and the restaurant was about 80% full, we were told to wait another 15 minutes, there was no seating at the bar or availible waiting room, when we finally sat down to order appetizers and drinks which took close to 30-40 mins to get our apps they were ok, nothing memorable and lacked flavour. the server made excuses they were really busy and the kitchen was backed up but it is no excuse. weorderedour entrees before our appetizers where brought out but it took well over 45 minutes to arrive, to the point we had to ask for our food. managers should be looking at chit times and doing table visits. my bforderedthe surf and turf with garlic mashed potatoes. the steak was blue rare after heorderedit medium rare, the mashed potatoes looked like instant potato and looked like soup, it was disgusting and not edible. iorderedthe pine nut salmon, the salmon was dry and the vegetables were soggy with water in the bottom of my plate everywhere. we did not finish our meals. the manager or owner not sure which came out, covered in food and not presentable and said he would take the steak off our cheque. this is a poorly trained and managed restaurant. we asked for our bill which took forever to come only to sour our experience even further. the server looked at us when we complained as if it were the norm. we paid our $80.00 bill and went next door to eat supper. do not waste your time or money here.

not consistent and dull. had lunch twice. first time was acceptable. second time was a disaster. they do offer gluten free pasta, but they change the type each time so you may get rice penna one time and corn spaghetti the next. they also seem to change the dishes from the menu so you may get something totally different than described on the menu. first time had chicken parm. which was a little on the soggy side and wife had pasta rustica with gluten free springs pasta. second time she got corn spaghetti with the same dish. both time they got the sauce wrong. second time iorderedthe herb roasted chicken which a did not accept and had returned to the kitchen. the chicken was white and rubbery skin no roasting to it. it looked like a boiled chicken pulled from a stock pot. iorderedsomething else, but by the time it came back my wife had finished her lunch. the did comp my meal. all in all the food is a little better than olive garden and priced about the same. so if you like surprises and olive garden food then you may like travinia.

awful!. flounder was so overcooked it looked and tasted like chicken fried steak. then the sauce was so heavy it completely overwhelmed what delicate flounder flavor may have been left. my niece's boyfriendorderedhis steak medium rare, but it came out well done. the bruschetta was totally inauthentic and was merely chopped tomatoes on toast. the balsamic vinegarette must have been made with maple syrup--a sweet dark brown bunch of goo. our server was borderline surly and completely mixed up everyone's wine order. when my brother in law spoke with the manager, the reply was that they were real busy. hey buddy, don't make excuses, and you are supposed to be prepared for busy! i will never return to travinia and will urge others to skip it too.
